BURTCH, Merton F.
Peacefully at Ottawa Civic Hospital on Tuesday, April 8, 2003, Merton Burtch of Elgin, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Elsie Garrett. Dear father of Marilyn (Bob) Lake of Battersea, Gordon (Gail) of Morton, Douglas of Westport, Keith (Darlene) of Battersea, Grant of Smiths Falls, Katherine Emmons of Perth, Donna (Jerry) Thompson of Sharbot Lake, Susan (Steven) Doudall of Maberly and Darryl (Barb) of Northbrook. Predeceased by sisters Beatrice Simpson, Mildred Rogers, Lillian Bernstein, Susan Sands and Mary Sands, as well as brothers Tommy, Cecil, Orin and Charlie Burtch. Fondly remembered by 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in our Chapel on Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Interment Halladay Cemetery, Elgin. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

CLOVER, John
At the St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 in his 87th year, John Clover. Husband of the late Emma Arcand. John was a native of Montreal and a long-time employee of Gold Gloves and Superior Silk Mills in Prescott.
Friends may call at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, 416 Dibble Street West, Prescott from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark’s Church, Prescott on Friday, April 11, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Kemptville. For those wishing, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

CALDWELL, Dorothy May
Entered into rest at the Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville on Monday, February 10th, 2003, the former Dorothy May Brown of Brockville, age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late James Claude Caldwell. Dear mother of Don Buffett and his wife Shirley of Brockville and Dolores Greer and her husband Gerry of Kanata, and a daughter-in-law Linda Caldwell of Brockville. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law Vaughan Cladwell and his wife Janet of Brockville and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Allan Caldwell and Jim Caldwell and his wife Doris, all of Brockville, her parents Lyman Henry Brown and his wife Pearl Levere Caldwell.
Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Brockville on Thursday, February 13th, 2003 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. HUBERT, Julienne
(Member of the CWL). At the Brockville General Hospital on Monday, February 10, 2003 in her 73rd year, Julie Hubert. Wife of Pierre Hubert of Prescott. Dear mother of Monique Brunet and her husband Ron of North Augusta and Don and his wife Judy of Almonte. Grandmother of Ted, Marc, Daniel and Michael. Sister of Marguerite Bissonnette and her husband Roland of Hamilton, Germaine Trudeau and her husband Gilles, Marie Boileau and her husband Tony both of Prescott, Simon Seguin and his wife Darlene of Cornwall. Predeceased by one daughter Lise, by brothers Oscar, Ovila, Rene, Rosaire and Maurice Seguin, by one sister Rita Ross and by a son-in-law Dwayne. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

HUTT-OLA, Malaika Christine
Entered into rest at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday February 10th, 2003, Malaika Christine Hutt-Ola of Brockville, born February 1st, 2003. Beloved daughter of Rebecca Hutt and G’mmel Ola of Brockville. Survived by her maternal grandparents Debby Hutt of Brockville and Bill Hutt of Prescott and her paternal grandparents Timothy and Ekua Ola of Toronto as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by Nanny Hutt.

Visitation will be held at Grant Brown Funeral Home, Purcell Chapel, Spencerville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held in St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church, Spencerville on Thursday at 1 p.m. for Mass of Christian Burial. Spring interment Sandy Hill Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations to St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church.

Peacefully in Florida on Saturday, February 8th, 2003. Daughter of the late Violet and Frank B. Foley. Beloved wife of 60 years of Jack H. Sills. Loving mother of Jacqueline (Harry) Johnston of Mallorytown. Barbara (Gary) MacDonald of Belleville. Dear brother of Frank H. Foley, Belleville and the late Thomas Foley. Cherished grandmother of Peter (Jody) Johnston of Mallorytown, Jennifer (Frank) Vargo of Alexandria Bay, New York, Stephanie (Paul) Cudmore of Fergus, Ontario, David (Tracy) MacDonald, Stacey MacDonald and the late Jeffrey MacDonald. Proud great-grandmother of Joshua, Kathryn and Amanda Vargo, Cicely and Sam Johnston and Hillary Cudmore.

On November 29, 2002 at the Kemptville District Hospital, after a valiant fight with cancer. Lilly Maud Bond (Gordon) of Kemptville, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late W.A. (Bill) Bond. Beloved mother of Janice Hyndman (Reg), Tim (Margaret), both of Kemptville, and Ruth (Allan Hoy) of Mountain. Loving sister of Jessie Gannon of Winchester, Dorothy Harper of Kemptville and Allan Gordon (Esther) of Kitchener. Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy (Bond) Cassie of Fergus, Ontario, Phyllis (Bond) Blanks (Joe) of Meridian, Mississippi, and Gordon Bond (Edna) of Osgoode. Cherished “Nan” of Derek Hyndman (Monica), Karen Bond, Lori Hodges (Scott), Charlie Bond and Lina Dack. “Great Nan” to Paige, Brody and Rebecca. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Ethel Gordon and by her daughter-in-law Sharon Bond (Dillabough). Lil will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and life-long friends Ede McCurdy and Lorraine Workman.
Visitation will be held at the Grant Brown Funeral Home, Rolston Chapel, Kemptville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Kemptville. Interment South Gower Cemetery. At the request of the family, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice.

CULHANE, Loretta R.N.
At the Kingston General Hospital on Friday, November 29, 2002. Loretta Scully at the age of 78 years. Wife of the late John “Jack” Culhane. Loving mother of John Culhane (Lynn), Cathy Muir (Bruce), Dan Culhane (Dorothy), Chris Culhane (Shirley). Also survived by several grandchildren.
