SWERDFEGER, Dorothy (nee Gibson)
Suddenly at William Osler Health Centre, Brampton, on Sunday, November 24, 2002 in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband Carl and parents Roy and Nettie Gibson. Loving mother of John and his wife Helen of Chesley, Kathy and her husband Roger Eisan of Sussex, New Brunswick and Karen and her husband Ben Moore of Brampton. Cherished grandmother of Todd, Lisa, Mark, Sarah, Jaime, Kelly, Steven and Kyle and great-grandson Bowen. Survived by sisters Arlene Bryan (Stan), Audrey Ferguson, and Marion Summers (Don). Predeceased by brothers Don, Lorne and Francis. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Ward Funeral Home in Brampton Ontario on Wednesday, November 27. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery, Norval.

STEVENSON, Edith (Jerry)
Peacefully at the Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville on Tuesday, October 29th, 2002, the former Edith (Jerry) Nuttall, age 90 years, formerly of RR4, Brockville. Beloved wife of the late Jim Harper Stevenson. Dear mother of James William (Bill) Stevenson of Athens and mother-in-law of Rose-Marie Stevenson of Belleville. Loving grandmother of Bill Jr. Stevenson and his wife Katie and John Stevenson, all of Athens. Special great-grandma to Rebecca, Samantha and Patrick. Predeceased by three sisters Miss Hilda Nuttall of Brockville, Mrs. Anne Dudka of Victoria, B.C. and Miss Ethel Nuttall of Athens.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at Glen Elbe Cemetery. In memoriams to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Judson Funeral Home, Athens.

CRITES, Donald
Entered into rest at his residence on Tuesday, October 15, 2002, Donald Leonard Crites of Brockville, age 63 years. Dear brother of Patricia (Pat) Kidd (Norman), Roger Crites (Sharon), Merrilee Noonan (Doug) all of Brockville, Loretta Latham (Terry) of Sarnia, Richard Crites (Cathie) of Brockville, and Paul Crites of Kingston. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Gladys (Cameron) Crites, two brothers Kenneth and Jerrold Crites and a sister Laurel Charland.
Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2002 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Lupus Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

McINNES, James
On Wednesday, October 16th, 2002, at the Brockville General Hospital, James Duncan McInnes of Maitland, at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of Marion (Dunster) McInnes. Loving father of David (Constance) of South Mountain, Denise Edwards (John) of Maitland, Dennis of Maitland, Shelley Roles (Brian) of Prescott, Wendy Desjardin (Graham) of RR1, Brockville, Diana Deschambault (Harold) of Richmond and Sandra Roode (Daniel) of Domville. Fondly remembered by twelve grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Donald McInnes of Edmonton, and sisters Ann Murphy of Maitland and Carolyn Young of Kingston. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Sunday, October 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In celebration of Jim’s life, a ceremony will be held in the Chapel on Monday, October 21st at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow at the Roselawn Tribute Centre and Crematorium with interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

MONTROY, Denise Paulette
Retired from Queen’s University Financial Services. Peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, October 17, 2002, Denise Boisseau. Beloved wife of the late William Montroy. Loving mother of Suzan Kendall (Doug) of Brockville, Kevin (Debbie) of Gananoque and Kenny at home. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Stephanie, Jamie, Ashley and Andrew. Survived also by her mother Irene Boisseau, her sisters Nicole Merineau (Richard), Francine Green (Kevin) and her brothers Paul and Daniel all of Montreal. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and all the friends who knew her.
Resting at the Robert J. Reid and Sons Funeral Home, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street) Kingston. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 392 Palace Road, Kingston on Monday, October 21st at 11:00 a.m. Interment Cataraqui Cemetery. Donations made to the V.O.N. in Denise’s memory would be thoughtfully remembered by the family.

REID, Mary Audrey
At the Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, October 17, 2002 in her 70th year, Audrey Grue. Wife of the late Reginald Reid of Prescott. Mother of Bonnie (Mrs. Glen Bradley) of Mallorytown, Robert of Prescott, Reg and his wife Bonnie of Lyn, David and his wife Penny of Prescott. Grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of seven. Sister of Eleanor Countryman of Prescott, John Grue and his wife Elsie of Brockville and Sharon (Mrs. Bernard Bucking) of Iroquois. Sister-in-law of Esther Grue of Spencerville. Predeceased by her parents Clifford Grue and Getria Wells, a brother Robert Grue and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, 416 Dibble Street West, Prescott from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, October 21, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment at Maynard Cemetery. For those wishing, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

SAUNDERS, Ross Frederick
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, October 18th, 2002, Ross Frederick Saunders age 66 of RR3, Athens. Beloved husband of the former Vina Ferguson. Loving father of Veronica Brokaw (Tim) of Rock River, Wyoming, Gwen Smith of RR3, Athens and Liana Cosgrove (Mark) of Brockville. Sadly missed by eight grandchildren. Dear brother of Lionel Saunders (Grace) of Port Elmsley, Erma McConkey and Joan Edwards (Robert), all of Ottawa. Predeceased by one sister Bernice Dunlay of Smiths Falls. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, on Friday, October 18th, 2002, Charles Edward Shire of Lansdowne, age 63 years. Beloved husband of the former Dorna Tedford. Dear father of Harold Shire (Sheila) of Wyoming, Henry Shire of Lansdowne, Julie Shire-Johnston (Bill) of Lansdowne. Brother of Ron Shire of Gananoque, Jim Shire (Ruth) of Lansdowne, Mary McCauley (Duff) of Gananoque, June Newfeld (Jake) of Brampton. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Reg Shire.

ARSENAULT, Freeman John
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, on Tuesday, June 11th, 2002, Freeman John Arsenault, age 72 years of Brockville (formerly of Ottawa). Beloved husband of the former Theresa Boisvert. Dear father of Gail Harrison (Danny) of Ajax, Jo-Ann White (Clarke), Carolyn Warner (Rick) all of Merrickville and Gary Arsenault (Betty Ann) of North Augusta. Grandfather of Joey, Shawn, Dawn, Jimmy, Kristy, Tony, Trish, Nick and Teresa. Also survived by a great-grandson Dylan, two sisters Phyllis Miller (Derwyn) and Barbara Arsenault both of Sarsfield, Ontario and several nieces and nephews.

Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, May 25, 2002, Vi Guay, age 86 of RR1, Athens. Beloved wife of W. Ronald Ballantyne. Dear mother of O. Loving grandmother of Matthew Ballantyne (Sheri) of Ajax, Scott Ballantyne, Thornhill, David and Laurel Ballantyne of RR1, Athens, great-grandmother of Samuel. Aunt of Paul Guay-Taylor and Lynn Hladun (Gerald) of Hamilton. Predeceased by a brother Frank Guay-Taylor of Hamilton.
