(Veteran of WWII, Artillery 4th Battery - served in Holland, Belgium and France)

At Hillsdale Terraces on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of Janet. Dear father of David (Liz), Paul (Monica), Joanne Deleo (Carlo), John (Mary) and the late Donna Jean Skaife. Brother of the late Joy Cordick. Loving grandfather of Christina, Lucas, Nigel, Jeremy and Caleb. Son-in-law of Myrtle Rusnell. Brother-in-law of Donna and Alan Garrard.

Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Monday, February 2nd from 10:00 A.M. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 11:00 A.M. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

TEVES, Paulo Jorge

Passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 in his 39th year.

Much loved husband of Carolyn (nee Rogers) of Brooklin. Loved Daddy of Ayden and Andrew. Beloved son of José Luis and M. Fatima Teves of North York. Loved Brother of Anabela and her husband Domenic Suppa of Brooklin and Christine Teves of North York. Remembered and loved by god daughter Sienna and god parents Manuela and Antonio Elias. Grandson of M. Trindade Cabral of Azores. Son in law of Margaret Rogers of Fredericton NB. Sadly missed by his friends at 'Calder House' in Brooklin as well as the Eastgate Circle Neighbours.

Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 130 Watford Street, Brooklin on Saturday, January 31st at 10 a.m. Following interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby family and friends are invited to celebrate Paulo's life during a reception held at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to 'Hearth Place' would be appreciated by the family. Prayers will be said in the chapel Friday evening at 7:30.

HAIN, Herbert

Peacefully at his residence in Oshawa on Friday, January 16th, 2009.

Herbert Hain, predeceased by his loving wife Marlene in 2004, dear father of David and his wife Alexandra of Codrington and Kevin of Oshawa. Lovingly remembered by his two grandsons. Predeceased by his only brother Gustav.

INNES, Elsie Helen (nee Pereman)
1919-2009

Passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, January 16th, 2009.

Dearly loved wife of Clarence (Tommy) Thompson and the late W. Earl Innes. Loved Mom of Judy and her husband Ron Sinclair of Huntsville and Jane and her husband John Delorme of Port Perry. Loved Nan of Debbie, Jeff, Heather, Bonnie and their families and Melinda Delorme. Loved by her second family Margaret Anne Greabeiel and Claire Golda of Edmonton and their families. Predeceased by her brother Gordon and sisters Maxine and Marion.

At Elsie's request there will be no funeral or visitation. A private family service will take place at a later date with interment at GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Brooklin. Cremation. If desired memorial donations to the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Center Oshawa, Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Community Care Durham/Whitby would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully on January 16, 2009 surrounded by her family at Rouge Valley Ajax after a brief illness in her 77th year.

Beloved wife of Ronald for 57 years. Dear mother of Gail Rich (Larry), Ted McAteer (Trudy), and Rick McAteer (Jane). Proud Grandmother of Kevin, Brendan, Brian, Becky, Michelle, Katie, Ashley, Chrissy, and Nicole. Great Grandmother of Ava. Survived by brothers and sisters Marie, Agnes, Leo, Theresa, and Francis. Sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Services were held at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (905) 668-3410 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial from St. John the Evangelist Church on Tuesday, January 20th 2009. If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to either the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association and would be greatly appreciated.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday, January 16th, 2009.

Beloved wife of the late Howard Ormiston. Dear mother of Dianne & Ray Crombie, Bea Hancock and David & Mary Ormiston. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Gregory & Lisa, Jeffery, Shaun, Andrew, Michael & Brandy, Jennifer and Christine and her great-grandchildren Christopher, Owen & Trevor. Dear sister-in-law of Ellen Ormiston and Elaine Baker.

Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday, January 18th, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 19th, 2009 at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Beloved daughter of Diana & Kevin Jackson. Cherished sister of Alan. Loved granddaughter of Don & Shirley Jackson. Dear niece of Helen Oliver, Mary & Sal Gelsomino, Karen Jackson, Kathy & John Sarvari and Kim & John Harris. Laura will be sadly missed by her cousins and many friends.

WEST, Charles Edward

Peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009.

Loving father of Rick (Cathy), Barb (Kerry Lewis), Donna and the late Deborah and Billy. Dear grandfather of Cheryl, Laura, Stacey, Shauna, Jenna, Dannielle, Dale and great-grandfather of Taylor and Cohen. Fondly remembered by Carol and all his family and friends.

Mr. West will be resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street in Whitby on Saturday from 11-2 p.m. at which time a complete service will be held in the chapel. Private interment in Kettleby, Ontario.

Caring Grandmother of Scott, Greg, Glen, Michelle, Derek, Dwayne, Michael, Nicole, Trevor, Dale, Salina, Cassandra, Tammy, Keri, Crystal, Brock and Rachael, Great Grandmother of Chloe, Ethan, Christa, Jesse, Luciano and Cassidy. Dear sister of the late Jean Chesterman and loving Aunt to many.

Funeral Service will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 11 am. Visitation on Thursday, January 29th, 2009 from 7 – 9 pm. Cremation. Memorial Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Passed away suddenly at Sunny Crest Nursing Home on January 27, 2009 in her 84th year.

Joan, loving wife of Ken Clement for 63 years. Predeceased by her parents Florence(nee Stone) and Milton McIndless. Dear mother of Judy Romano of Fenelon Falls, Susan Newton and her husband Mike of Ennismore, Sandra Birkenhead and her husband Harold of Peterborough, Kenneth Clement Jr. and his wife Carol of Brooklin. Loving Grandmother of John Romano (Aili), Dawn-Marie Gomme (Ray), Annette Simpson (Kyle), Robert Romano (Angela), Robert Simpson (Amy), Jocelyn Merriam(Jarret), Tanya Skinner (Jamie), Amanda Birkenhead, Katrina Newton, John Robert Birkenhead. Loving Great Grandmother of Stephanie, Emily, & Ashley Romano, Justin, Jhaelyn, & Kaitlyn Gomme, Grace & Devon McAlpine, Breanna & Brandon Romano, Jayden & Samantha Merriam, Jonathan, Emily Skinner and
