RYAN, Mathilda “Tillie”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother Tillie on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 77.
Tillie was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan on May 8th, 1931 to her parents Linus and Klementine Meckler. She is predeceased by her beloved husband John, on May 19th, 2008. She leaves behind her loving son Grant and wife Kathy, and her daughter Brenda LaCroix and husband Bernie. Loving grandmother of Lance, Matt and Joshua Ryan. Also sadly missed by her best friend Gloria Cousins. Mom proudly maintained her sobriety over the past 27 years. We thank and appreciate Extendicare Oshawa for the care given to mom of over the past several years.

Survived by brother Santo and sister Francesca in Italy and sister-in-law Maria Conforti in Oshawa. Will be fondly remembered by family and friends in Canada and Italy. Effa is survived by her grandchildren Candice Lewis and her husband Bill, Lawson Gay and his wife Julie, Jason Stainton and his wife Michelle and Marnie Easveld and her husband Dan and by great-grandchildren Henry, Gracie, Owen, Finlay, Sydney and Anelyn. Predeceased by her parents Luther and Effa Honor, her brother Donald & his wife Mildred, and granddaughter Julie Gay. Many thanks to Sylvia and the wonderful and caring staff of Walnut Grove Retirement Home who provided the best of care in Effa’s final years.

He leaves wonderful memories with his daughter Pat Adams and her husband Ed Milburn, daughter Marilyn and her husband Lawrence Keenan, son David Adams and his wife Michelle, and daughter Carla and her husband Peter Bird. He was predeceased by his daughter Susan. Carl had nine devoted grandchildren: Allan, Lawrence, Larry, Craig, Janette, Nathan, Nicole, Christopher, and Hayley, and five great-grandchildren Cole, Sophia, Jade, Carter and Chloe.
