MILLER, Kyle Joseph

Unexpectedly on January 2nd, 2009, Kyle Miller at 23 years of age.

Beloved son of Sharron Nearing and Robert Miller. Loving stepson of Warren Wade and MaryBeth Dewan. Loving brother of Brooke, Laura, and Cody. Kyle will be sadly missed by his Nana, Lynne Nearing, Grandpa, George Nearing, Grandma Donna Nearing, and nieces Jasmyne and Eva. Cherished by his aunt Melinda Nearing, cousins Joe, Tyler, Anna Lynne, and by his extended family and friends.

Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, January 6th from 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 7th at 1:00 P.M.

Memorial donations to the Addiction Research Foundation or Pinewood Centre of Lakeridge Health would be appreciated.

Kyle’s music will forever carry on in all or our hearts.

ORMISTON, Doris Madeline (nee Wilkins)

In her 90th year. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Friday, January 2nd, 2009.

Beloved wife of the late Ralph. Dear mother of Joan & Ken Crawford; Garry & Joan Ormiston; Betty & Dan Bridgett; Bonnie Ormiston; Murray & Donna Ormiston and Robert & Elaine Ormiston. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Greta Robertson and sister-in-law of Ellen Ormiston, Catherine Ormiston and Elaine Baker. Predeceased by her sister Helen Guthrie.

Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday, January 4th, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, January 5th, 2009 at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.

SANDERSON, Donald Edward
(Member of the Whitby Dunlops Hockey Club and a student at York University)

Peacefully, on Friday, January 2, 2009, with family and friends by his side at the Hamilton General Hospital, at age 21. Dearly loved son of Dahna Sanderson of Port Perry and Michael Sanderson (Beth Ramsay) of Belleville. Loving grandson of Don and Gail Jackson of Stouffville. Loved nephew of Danielle Jackson (Tony Davis), David Jackson (Valerie), Sharon (Walter Nokes), Bob Sanderson (Pat), Ron Sanderson (Nancy) and Margaret Watt. Donald will also be sadly missed by his cousins and many friends.

The family of Donald Sanderson will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel" 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, January 4th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 1710 Scugog Street (Hwy 7A) in Port Perry on Monday, January 5th at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating.

SMALL, Randall Lorne

Randy passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, January 2nd, 2009 at the age of 54.

He was the loving companion of Mary Anderson for many years. Loving father of Michael Small of Oshawa. Survived by his devoted mother, Rita Small, his caring father, Glen S. Small and his wife Sandra. Remembered by his brothers and their families; Steven and Linda Small, Ronald and Jennifer Small and Stan Small and Adele Patterson. Loved by many nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. Much appreciation to Kim Jarvis of Com Care -Durham Region for providing a ray of sunshine, and to all the caring staff in Palliative Care at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, we are so very grateful.

Peacefully at home with her family and friends by her side on Friday, January 2, 2009. Loving wife of the late Sante for 52 years. Adored mother of Ezio (Sue), Marina (Bryan) Dajka, and Lisa (Tom Anderson). Beloved sister of lolanda (Ermete), Franco (Fazila) and sister-in-law of Pietro (Marisa). Much loved Nonna to Kimberly, Shannon (Alan), Christopher, Caitlin, Mikaela, Jacob, Vanessa, Zachaery, Charlotte and Ava. Devoted Zia to her much loved nieces and nephews. Beloved "Nonni" to Blossom, Merlie, Shelly and Rhonda. Dear friend to Karen M. and Karen P. Many thanks to all of Elena's nurses and caregivers, and the staff at Sunnybrook ALS Clinic. Sincere thanks to Dr. John Vu and Allison Riddell for their compassionate care. Elena will be missed by many family members, friends and neighbours. Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church (corner of Harwood and Bayly, Ajax, ON) on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment - Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

HUNT, Ivy
1911 - 2009
Ivy passed away peacefully at the Community Nursing Home in Port Perry, on Wednesday, September 30.

Ivy was the beloved wife of the late James Hunt and was much loved by her daughters Valerie and Barbara and son-in-law Bill Beaton. She is also survived by her sister Winnie and nieces and nephews in England. Her ready smile, spirited and gentle soul and remarkably positive attitude toward life will be remembered fondly by those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s United Church, 1360 Simcoe Street, North (at Taunton Rd.), Oshawa, on Saturday, October 3 at 11:00 a.m. A light lunch and reception will follow. The family will always be grateful to the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Community Nursing Home for bringing such happiness and comfort to Ivy in her three years there.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Resident’s Activity Fund at the Community Nursing Home (cheque made out to Community Nursing Home PP, Memo : Direct to Activity Fund) or a Charity of your choice.

Sister-in-law to Eleanor Mulvihill, Bette Mulvihill, Frances Mulvihill, Catherine Mulvihill, Camilla Mulvihill, and the late Harold Grube, James Snudden and Ruby Mulvihill.

Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday September 30, 2009 in her 44th year.

She will be forever loved and cherished by her daughter Kasmir. Loving daughter to Rudolph and the late Anna Petrovicz. Dear sister to Paul and James and loving aunt to James Ryan, Kyla and Drazen.
