MAZUR, Paul Allan

Went to be with the Lord at his home on Wednesday February 10, 2010, in his 40th year.

Beloved son of Wallace (Shirley) Mazur, and Bonnie (John Peterson). Dear brother and best friend to Mark. Cherished grandson to Helen Mazur and the late Walter Mazur, and the late Sparky and Bob Crosby. Nephew to Cynthia Corby and Rick Corby.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road Whitby (905-443-3376), for Further information please call. Cremation.

MIROWSKI, M.E. Claire

After a long courageous struggle with cancer, Claire passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 in her 82nd year.

Predeceased by her husband Theodore Mirowski and long time companion Paul Saulnier. Beloved mother of John Dufresne (Joan), David Mirowski (Marlene), Debra (Jim Miles), Daniel Mirowski, Douglas Mirowski (Lynn) and Donna Mirowski-Smith (Greg). Loving grandmother of Christopher, Paul, Andrew, Allison, Mike, Michael, Alexandra, Leah, Dustin and Shaun, and great grandmother of Rebecca, Claire, Noah and Jake. Dear sister of Margaret and Catherine. Predeceased by brother Gerald and sister Cecile.

Private family Funeral Service was held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, February 12th, 2010. Cremation.

If desired, memorial donations to the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre would be appreciated.

THOMSON, Bedford "Cy"
(Cy enjoyed his home at Kennedy Bay; He was a retired Duplate employee and WWII Veteran; Merchant Navy)

Entered into rest at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes in Lindsay on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at the age of 85.

Cy was the beloved husband of Noreen Frizzell. Loving father of Tom Thomson, Terri Thomson and her husband Dwight Baumgartner and Tracey and her husband Wayne Kendrick. Cherished grandfather of Courtney and her husband Chris Folco, and Melissa Ford. Great grandfather of Kamryn and Kyndal Folco.

Following cremation, friends were invited to visit at the MACKEY FUNERAL HOME, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Monday, February 15th from 1:30 p.m. until the time of a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m.

Memorial donations to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated.

BRADY Rose M. (nee Kalman) of Oshawa

On Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in her 86th year.

Rose, beloved wife of the late Fergus Brady. Loving mother of Michael, Peter and Chris. Loving grandma of Michelle, Marissa, Lindsay, Myles and great grandma of Taite. Daughter of the late Yano and Helen Kalman. Sister of Mary and the late Tony and Sandy. Rose will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby (north of hwy 2) 905-443-3376 on Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 12 -3 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.

DALE, Leonard

Age 81 years. After a lengthy illness passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday February 9, 2010.

He is now home with his Saviour, where we can meet him someday.

Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Bugden). Loving father of Sharon Inglis (John); Joanne Wolfe; Gilbert Dale (Tammy), Samuel Dale (Reneé) and David Dale (Lorenda). Dear grandpa of Shawn, Patricia, Colleen, Stephen, Jenny, Blair, Lydia, Michael and Victoria. Cherished brother of Alfreda Reid, Shirley Richards, Allan Dale and Clayton Dale. Predeceased by his loving parents Gilbert and Mary Ann Dale.

Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday February 12, 2010 from 10- 11am. A Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 11am.

Memorial Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetic Association and Salvation Army.

BENNETT, Clara Francis (nee Forsythe)
July 19, 1910 – February 8, 2010

Passed away peacefully in her 100th year.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Ross and all siblings except youngest sister Louise Varcoe. She will be greatly missed by her son Grant (Carol) and daughter Beverley Marshall. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren who are all thankful that she had such a long, wonderful life to share with them. Clara was an exceptional artisan and all family members benefited from her multi-faceted talents. She never stopped learning and mastering new mediums.

Survived by her sisters Betty and Sheila, brothers Stanley, Bill and Albert all of England. Also survived by her brother-in-law Ron Swartman of Whitby.

At Eileen’s request there will be no service and cremation has taken place.

Donations in Eileen’s memory can be made to the Oshawa Humane Society.

MAGEE Alice (nee Chryk)

Passed away on Monday February 8, 2010 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 91st year.

Alice, beloved wife of the late Elwood Magee. Alice will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, her extended family and many friends.

Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, on Friday February 12th from 12noon. Funeral Service in the chapel of the funeral home at 1pm. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby.

MARSHALL, Ruth Eleanor

At Scarborough General Hospital, surrounded by love with family and a dear friend, on Monday, February 8, 2010, at the age of 82.

Loving wife and best friend for 55 years of the late Gordon Edwin. Forever devoted mother of Randy and his wife Linda, Gayle Goodwin, and the late Mike. Proud grandmother of her much loved granddaughter Carly. Dear sister of the late Joan Young and Betty Crossman, and sister-in-law of Paul Young, Jack Crossman, Audrie Ruffell and her late husband Bill. Friends are invited to join the family for a time of remembrance from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, at her home in Scarborough. Mom will always be remembered for her great love of family and friends, and the pride she took in her home and garden.
