GIBB, William passed away July 5, 2001 in Arizona at the age of 90. Loving husband of Sarah. Beloved father of Ellen and husband William Mack (Maryland). Brother of George (Essex). Predeceased by his wife Mable (nee Croft) (1985) and by his son William James (1993), and his brothers James and Alec and sisters Mary, Janet, Margaret and Elizabeth. He is survived by grandchildren: Joel & Matthew Gibb, Laura Taylor, Gwen Ross and Dan, Kate and John Mack and 5 great-grandchildren. He was a devoted uncle to many surviving nieces and nephews. Mr. Gibb graduated from Windsor Walkerville Tech and was a King Scout and Scout troop leader in Windsor before attending General Motors Institute of Technology in Michigan. After receiving his degree from GMI, he worked for General Motors from 1940 to the end of the World War II in the aircraft industry. From 1945 until his retirement in 1973, he was an Engineer and Supervisor with the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. After retiring, he moved to Sun City, Arizona and continued to spend his summers at his cottage near Colchester. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 25, St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 5280 Howard Ave., Oldcastle, (969-7808).
