Berg, August Karl 'Augie', St. George St., Port Dover, peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 in his 75th year. August, dear husband of Goldic (nee Fowler), loving father and father-in-law of Ron (Beth) of Port Ryerse, Ken of Courtenay, B.C., Bob (Sue) of Vittoria, Don (Tammy) of Port Dover and Pat Roberts of Walsh. He will be lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also survived by a brother Henry (Kay) and sisters Olga (Jim) Siemens, Louise (Bert) Hanson and Pauline Switzer, all of Western Canada. Predeceased by 6 brothers; Edward, John, Edmond, Albert Julius and Herman and 2 sisters Marie and Flora. Augie will be remembered by many for his great love of the lake and of fishing. FUNK, Eva of Port Dover, at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville on March 13, 2002, in her 93rd year. Loving and devoted mother of Peter (Mary) of Stoney Creek. Dear grandmother of Penelope of Port Dover and Randy of Hamilton. Predeceased by her husband Peter (1983) and her brother Frank Klose. Eva has lived in Port Dover since 1949 and lived in her own home until July 2001. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Eva was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League of St. Cecilia's. WILLIAMS, Alonzo of Simcoe in his 81st year, died peacefully in his sleep on February 23, 2002. Loving father and father-in-law of Hase(Barb), Wendy (Mel) Upton, Heather Kush, Iris Clifford, Ivan (Brenda), Carla Troke, Melody Piner, Daryl (Deb), and Kevin (Suzie). Dearly loved grandad of twenty five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by an infant daughter Meta and a infant grandson. Alonzo will be fondly remembered by his borthers and sisters in the East Coast and Alberta. SULLIVAN, Lawrence "Larry" "Sully" of Port Dover, in his 63rd year, died peacefully at his brother's home, on February 20, 2002, after a stubborn and courgeous battle with cancer. He will be sadly and lovingly missed by Gail and their three children, Sherre Maas of Simcoe, Teresa (Dennis) Mummery and Mike (Joanne) Sullivan all of Port Dover. Larry had six grandchildren that will remember their "bapa" for his love of teasing them - Corey and Katie Maas, Adam and Cody Mummery and Terra and Nathan Sullivan. Sully will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters Pat (Marge) of Simcoe, Terry (Maureen) of Ottawa, and Kenny of Morrisburg, Anne McGuire, Nora (Lorne) Burnett, Gladys Sullivan, Judy (Jim) Glover all of Ottawa and Kathy (Earl) Merkley of Smith Falls. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law Gwen Brearley of Simcoe. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Johanna Sullivan, three brothers, Danny, Michael and Gerald and three sisters, Mary, Rosie and Margaret. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Florence, Lorna and Judy, and brothers-in-law, Bob Hellard and Rene Lauzon, as well as many neices and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Mickey and Gilbert. Larry will be fondly remembered by his many friends for his exceptional coffee! FORREST, William Edward "Ed" (Fouse) suddenly at Norfolk General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, April 13, 2002 in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Patricia "Pat" (McCrae). Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Jason of Port Dover and Garrett and his wife Robynne of Waterford. Grandpa will be deeply missed by his only grandson Broc. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Raymond, Chuck (Sharon), George, Nancy (George) Milne, Shirley (Leroy) Phibbs and Viola (Tony) Lawrow. Also survived by neices, nephews, great neices and nephews and great great neices and nephews. "Chevy" will sadly miss his good friend. Predeceased by an infant daughter Holly (1965) and brothers, Gordon, Bev and Bob and sister-in-law, Linda. Ed was an active community member and will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. He was a past president and coach of Port Dover Minor Hockey. An active member of the Port Dover Sea Scouts which he has been since 1950, attaining the level of Queen Scout in less than 4 years, also, served as past skipper and past chairman. Ed was a member of Grace United Church and served as church elder. KOROSTIL, Michael of Port Dover, at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, June 1st, 2002 in his 75th year. Son of the late Basil and Anna (nee Fedoriw) Korostil of Stinka, Ukraine. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Foster), loving father of Dwight Michael of London. Survived by 4 brothers; Steve, Basil, Paul and Peter, and 2 sisters; Anastasia and Mary of Ukraine. Michael served during World War II as an Anti-aircraft gunner, Michael was fluent in 7 languages. A graduate of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Engineering Class of 1964 he was employed with Ontario Hydro first at the Lakeview Generating Station, Port Credit from 1964 to 1970 and then with the Nanticoke Generating Station from 1970 to 1991, retiring in 1991 as an Electrical Control Maintenance Superintendent. He was the former President of the UkrainianTechinical Society of Canada. A member of the Professional Engineers of the Province of Ontario, a Lifetime member of I.E.E.E., a member of the University of Toronto Alumni Association. Michael help form the Scholarship Fund for under-graduate engineering students of Ukrainian descent.

MEADE, Lloyd Melvin "Uncle Lloyd" of Port Dover. Suddenly on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at Norfolk General Hospital in his 92nd year, surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late John and Alice Meade. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Cyril and Verna Meade, Hazel Barry, Mabel Thompson, Annie Marie Meade all of Port Dover and Blanche Phibbs of Garnet. Predeceased by brothers Ted (1988) and Wray (1929), sister, Evelyn Fields (1997) and brothers-in-law, Leo Barry, Albert Thompson, Rex Phibbs and Blake Fields. Will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews, Nancy, Kathy and Doug, Cindy and Scott, Becky and Ian. A very special great uncle to Douglas, Matthew, Phillip, Michaela, Nicholas, Cody and Ashley. Uncle Lloyd will be fondly remembered by many, many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Lloyd was a great hockey and baseball fan, for both Port Dover Minor Sports , the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. He had a great love for gardening, enjoyed bowling, playing pool and reading. He was ALWAYS up for a game of cards.
