He was the last of the ten children of Charles and Mary Heffron, having been predeceased by brothers John and Charles, and sisters Mary Harwood, Catherine Palmer, Carrie, Margaret, Verna and Veronica Heffron and Ann Allan. KEELAN - In the Lambton Health Groups St. Joseph s Continuing Care Centre on Thursday, July 19th, 2001. MARK KEELAN, age 54 of Sarnia. Surrounded by his family, after a long valiant battle against a brain tumor. Beloved husband of Sue (Ranney); loving father of Sarah and her fianc Marc Bishop, Toronto. Step-father of Shea and Michael Vachon. Dear son of Ray and Virignia Keelan. Brother of Brian Keelan; Faith and her husband George Capern London, ON; Hope and her husband Philip Parker, London, England; and Joyce Keelan and Reid Campbell. Brother-in-law of Connie and Pete Koehler; Rick and Debbie Ranney; Ali Ranney and Barb Dorf, Arizona. Close friend of Robyn Keelan. Predeceased by brother Eric Keelan (1963). Mark received his B.Sc. (Marine Biology) from the University of Western Ontario in 1969. Mark received his law degree from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand in 1980. During his 15-year tenure at Keelan s Audio Video as Senior Sales Rep. he also pursued his passion for music, both writing and performing, throughout the community. To help others fight their fights, it was Mark s final wish that his body be donated to medical science. Memorial Mass will be held at Monday at Sacred Heart Church. STEFANKO - STEPHEN ANDREW STEFANKO died peacefully Wednesday morning on July 18, 2001, in his 79th year. Cherished and loving husband of Leda Mary Stefanko (nee Nastasiuk) for 53 years. Beloved father of Steven (Lisa) and Cheryl, grandfather of Lesley and brother of Margaret Prisciak. He was a strength to the Stefanko family and was embraced fondly by all those who knew him. Steve will be remembered for his tireless work on behalf of minor sports in the City of Sarnia for many years. His election to the Sarnia/Lambton Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 was a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to so many. He was also a respected 40 year employee of Imperial Oil Ltd. and a long time member of St. Benedict's and St. Michael's Catholic Churches in Sarnia and Bright's Grove. Steve was simply a great husband, a great father and a great friend. He is predeceased by his parents Stephen and Barbara. Visitation will be at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia Friday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. (prayers will be offered at 7,00 p.m.). She was a member of the Golden Age Club of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Cherished grandmother of Randy, Larry, Terry, Scott, Kelly, Lisa, Sonia, Paul, Sylvana, Ryan, Stacey, Chad, Shaina, Devin, Taylor, Brenda, Brian, Ron, Bradley, Carla and Linda and over 30 great and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by daughters Pamela and Nancy Huggett, son Ronald Huggett, and grandson Derek. Mildred and John were past members of the Corunna Legion, Navy Club and the Sargents Mess. She was born in Slovakia and was a member of the Canadian Slovak League and the Canadian Slovak Benefit Society, and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Women's League and church choir.
