Rymal, Larry, passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2002 at Leamington District Memorial Hospital at the age of 69 years, after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig s Disease (ALS). Beloved husband of 42 years and best friend of Ruth (Enns). Loving father of Virginia Rymal, Leamington; Noelle and her husband Manny Resendes, Komoka. Loving grandfather of Adrian and Abbey. Predeceased by his parents, Lorne and Velma; father-in-law Richard Enns and brother-in-law John Enns. Survived by his mother-in-law Erna Enns; sister-in-law Rita and husband Don Unrau, Leamington; brother-in-law Bill Enns and wife Julie, Brampton; brother-in-law Peter, Leamington, as well as many nieces and nephews. Larry was in the motel business for 37 years, retiring in 1987. He was on the Board of Directors of the Leamington Chamber of Commerce in the 1960 s, active in various volunteeer capacities, especially tourism. He was a captain with the Leamington Fire Department and served as a volunteer fireman for 25 years with particular interest in rescue work. In retirement, his enthusiasm for flying as a private pilot led him to the role as co-ordinator of airshows in Windsor and Leamington. Because of his love for the Canadian Snowbird Demonstration Team, they were first introduced to the Town of Leamington in 1990. In 1993 he was recognized as Leamington s Citizen of the Year and in 2001 he was appointed as a member of the Honorary Snowbirds Society. With a passion for the outdoors and nature, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and will be sadly missed by his hunting partner Cracker . His wish was to donate his organs and tissues and even though this was not possible, he requested that awareness of this need be made.
