McPARLAND, Maurice A. ('Moe') - peacefully at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 27, 2002; in his 84th year.Maurice McParland, of Orillia, beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee:Sedore). Proud father of, Maurine Matias and husband Rick, Mike and wife Margie, Cathy, Barbara, and Paula, all of Orillia, Greg and wife Lorrie of Barrie, Mary Anne Longpre and husband Ray of London, Shaunagh Kinzinger and husband Don of Aurora. Loving 'Grampa' of, Darren and Allison Matias, Rebecca, Jeffrey, Jamie, Joshua (predeceased), Jonathan, and Wyatt McParland, Austin and Ashley Kinzinger. Dear brother of, Harold and wife Lorette of Schreiber, Doris Milligan of Orillia, Rita Waters of Burlington, Rev. Fr. Roy of Sault Ste. Marie, Gordon, Norman, and Ernie, all predeceased. Brother-in-law of , Phyllis, Marie, and Yvonne McParland, Andy (Ruby) Sedore, and Betty (Doug) Massey. Maurice will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Maurice was a dedicated father, devout in his faith and family. He contributed to his community in many ways. He was with Great-West Life Assurance Co. for over 60 years and was a 56-year member of the Knights of Columbus. He served on both the Orillia and Simcoe County Roman Catholic Separate School Boards for 33 years and had long-standing associations with The Guardian Angels Credit Union and the St. Michael's cemetery Board. The late Mr. Maurice McParland will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N. Orillia, from 7-9 PM Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM Friday Parish Prayers in the chapel Friday at 7 PM.Then to the Church of the Guardian Angels, 115 West St. N., Orillia, for Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 31st, at 10:30 AM. Interment St. Michael's cemetery , Orillia. Memorial donations to the Maurice McParland Scholarship Fund of Patrick Fogerty Secondary School or the Restoration Fund of Guardian Angels ' Church would be sincerely appreciated.

MERKLEY, Doris Eileen (nee, Ash) - at Champlain Manor, Orillia, on Friday July 12th, 2002; in her 90th year. Doris Merkley, formerly of Lagoon City, beloved wife of the late Harold C. "Merk" Merkley. Lovingly remembered by her brother Dennis Ash of London, her many nieces, and their families. The late Mrs. Doris Merkley will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Saturday, July 13th, from 12 o'clock until the time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 o'clock. Interment will be held at St. Andrew's - St. James' cemetery , Orillia, on Tuesday afternoon, July 16th, at 1:30. James Page of Perth, formerly of Orillia, beloved husband of 71 years of Jessie (nee, Gill). Loving father of Ann Stanton & husband Dave of Sparrow Lake, Roberta Dupuis and husband Ken of Perth, Marylyn Thomson of Kingston, Paul Page & wife Joan of Toronto, Karen McGregor & husband David of Alcona Beach. Lovingly remembered by his 16 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and their families. Dear brother of Georgina (Tam) Hope-Smith of Washago and the late Jack, Kay, & Grace. The late Mr. James Page will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church Matchedash on Wednesday afternoon, July 17th at 2 o'clock. Interment : St. John's Matchedash cemetery. Dear grandmother of, Cindy, Pauline, Tina, Lisa, Michael, Lee, Pam, Lynn, Brian, Jena, Michael, Terri Lynn , Steven, and 23 great grandchildren. Loved brother and brother in law of Marilyn and Ben, Isobel and Ross, Jacquelin and Peter, Sandra and Wes, Lena, Marjorie, Anne and Len, Carl and Hughena and Lila's late baby brother Ainsley. Loving father of Anthony (Tony) (predeceased), Lance & wife Barb and Julie & husband Bob Garside all of Minesing. Also loved by his grandchildren Bryan & Anne Campbell and Jack Garside. Dear twin brother of Ronald (predeceased), sister Velma Barber (predeceased) and brother Bobby & wife Lorraine of Owen Sound. Lifelong friend of Bob Boyes of Orillia. Special uncle to Kevin & Karry Barber, Lisa & Erin Church and Andrew Taylor. Will be sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Loving father of Allan (Sharon), Colleen (Al), Stephen (Charlene) and Bill (Jen). Proud grandfather of 14. Son of the late Edna and Irwin Duffy. Brother of Glen (Dawn). Predeceased by brother William and sister Maxine. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and life-long friends. Ted was a 25-year employee of Weston Bakery and known to many as an avid fisherman. Crematon has taken place. A Memorial Funeral Service will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Saturday afternoon, September 21st at 3 o'clock in the chapel.
