Taylor, Lucie "Moby" Maclean

Celebration of Life, August 21st 2003
TAYLOR, Lucie “Moby” Maclean Family and Friends are invited to celebrate the extraordinary life of Lucie “Moby” Maclean Taylor on Thursday, August the 21st at The Bay Club, 181 Collier Street, Barrie. Bring your memories of how she so passionately lived, loved and laughed it up, every moment of her legendary life, until the day she suddenly died in hospital at the age of 88, in Barrie, Ontario. She had her priorities about what really matters in this life so totally together. They were simple pleasures, and she generously shared them with us all; a back-hand volley on the tennis court; a cool swim in the bay; making a grand slam with a special bridge partner; biking on her three-wheeler around Kempenfelt trail; reading a good book; filling out a daily crossword ; making a special card or poem for you -–or just talking and laughing; solving all the problems of this world over a ciggie and some rum; wise but hip to the legions she touched in her lifetime. Let’s not forget to bring some music. The ol’guitar; the drums and the spoons. Or hum along through waxed paper over an old tooth comb with a family who notoriously sings their hearts out, but can’t carry a tune. Because talks with mom/Grand-Moby always made us feel better, because life with a frank friend like Lucie lifted your spirits, because with Lucie, well life just didn’t get any better than this. Wife of 60 years to the late William MacGreagor Taylor (Billy), mother of Doctor Donald Taylor, Susan Clarke, Norah Taylor, and their partners, Donna Bryne, the late Richard Clarke, and Herb Palmer. Grand-Moby of Trevor Clarke, Scott Taylor, Danita Taylor, Cynthia Clarke and Stefanie Smith, and their life partners Kim Clarke, Angela Taylor, Chris Osborne, and Doug Smith. Great Grand-Moby to Jorden Clarke, baby Sophia Osborne and baby to-be Taylor. Join us for the celebration of Moby’s life at 4pm in the reception room at The Bay Club and/or join the family between 5pm and 9pm to toast a very special friend. No flowers or donations. Celebrate life with those you love today! Condolences may be forwarded to the family through the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Ontario
