CAIN - Peacefully at Trillium Villa, Sarnia on Friday, December 19, 2003, JOHN 'JACK' (GRANDPA) CAIN, age 89, of Sarnia. Beloved husband of 67 years of the late Jennie Mae (Featherstone) Cain (April 2003). Dear father of Bernard Cain & wife Beverley and James Cain & wife Barbara. Loving grandpa of Michael Cain & wife Judy, Melbourne, Australia, Terry Cain & wife Shirley, Sarnia, Gregory Cain & wife Allyson, Toronto, Daniel Cain, North Carolina, Leslie Dell & husband Marcus, Richmond, B.C., Lisa Cain, Toronto, Kelly Cain, Patrick Cain, London. Great-grandpa of Mitchell, William, Christine, Nicole, Terry Jr., Andrew and Isabella Cain, Brittany, Caitlin and Ashley Plainos. Brother of Gertrude (Teddy) Cain and Catherine Brady. Predeceased by his parents Joseph Bernard and Margaret (Regan) Cain and brothers Norman, Harry and Earl. Mr. Cain was one of the founding member of St. Peter's Church. He began his working career at Ready & Cain Lumber Co., Pt. Lambton which was owned by his father and then operated a gas station and store in Wallaceburg in 1936. He was past president of Mueller Credit Union. Jack retired in 1977 from Mueller Brass after 36 years of service. Jack was an avid bowler in the Industrial League, and euchre player. Visitation at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday where prayers will be offered at 8 p.m.. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2003 at St. Peter's Church, Sarnia. Interment Sacred Heart cemetery , Port Lambton 2 p.m. Monday. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, 110 Water St., Sarnia N7T 5T3.

Cameron: Vernie Ethel

Cameron: Vernie Ethel At Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Saturday, December 6, 2003. Vernie Cameron (nee McKague) of Owen Sound in her 84th year. Wife of the late Howard Cameron (1992). Loving mother of Jim of Owen Sound, Doug (John) and his wife Judy of Kingston, Mary and her husband Ivan Boyle of Meaford, Bonnie and her husband Jim Baker of Toronto, Gwen and her husband James of London and Alvin of Keppel. Sadly missed by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister Lucy Murphy and four brothers Harvey, Bertie, Herbert and Newman. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock with Dr. Brad Clark officiating. Interment , Boyd cemetery. Memorial donations to the G.B.R.H.C. Foundation would be appreciated.

Campbell: Murray Wallace

CAMPBELL, Murray Wallace Peacefully at the General Campus on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in his 76th year, of Stittsville. Beloved husband of Elsie Lowe. Loving father of Gail and her husband Gord Barnes. Cherished papa of Derek and Natalie. Dear brother of Arthur Campbell and his wife Marilyn of Arnprior. Will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Donald Campbell and Margaret McGregor. Friends may call at the Valley Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington Street, Carp, on Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank Dr. Norman Bowles, Dr. F. Shamji and the wonderful nurses on the 6th floor NW for the excellent care during his last weeks.

Loving mother of Craig, Janice (Don McMullen) and Kenneth. Dear grandmother of Cody, Blair and Dara. Sister of Brooks Evenden. Predeceased by her parents Cecil S. Evenden, Edith Brooks and step-mother Eleanor Hauser. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (between Bayshore Drive and Baseline Road ) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m. For those wishing, a memorial donation to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.

Carmichael: William (Bill) Born in Perth Scotland. Peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Thursday January 30, 2003, at the age of 78. Husband of the late Margaret Taylor. Loving father of Kathy (Gary Mahoney) of Ottawa and Maureen (Mike Conlin) of Langley BC. Proud grandfather of Heather Hearn and Julia Caie. great-grandfather of Ciera Hearn. At Bill's request there will be no visitation or service. For those who wish a donation to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.

Loving grandmother of Jennifer Waldroff (Jeff) of Newington, Jason Hyland of Kars, Cheryl, Kelly, Dawn Marie and Paul and great gram of Kortney, Jordon, Brandon, Michael and Eva. Sister of Elsie Leadbetter. Amy will also be fondly remembered by the Bernard family. Predeceased by her special friend Corrine Pigeon, brothers Fred, Arthur, Thomas and sister Frances. Proud grandmother to Robert & Shannon McManus, Stephanie & Jonathan Camillieri, Jeffrey & Shelley Gallagher, Jennifer Gallagher, & Gregory Gallagher, Stephane Gallagher & Tracey Gallagher, & Marilyn & Richard Saulnier. Also surviving are brother Omer Couture & wife Rose, and sister Mary Poisson all of Windsor along with many brothers & sisters in New Brunswick Predeceased by brother Wilfred, & sisters Evelyn, Rose, & Florence. Dear mother of Lee Clement and his wife Julia of Wasaga Beach, Cathy Clement of Owen Sound, Sue and Vinny of Bolton and Larry Clement of Beaverton. Lovingly remembered by her two grandchildren David of Wasaga Beach and Andrew of Owen Sound. Predeceased by one sister Dorothy Franklin and one brother Gordon Haslam. Collins – Major R.J., CD (Ret’d) Unexpectantly on Tuesday, July 4, 2003 age 59 years. Predeceased by his parents Richard and Lilian Collins of Niagara Falls. Richard proudly served for 35 years with postings in Winnipeg, Comox, Greenwood, Halifax and finally Ottawa. He met friends from across the world, first as a ham operator (VEIBAX), then through his love of computers and the Internet. His children Victoria and Ian and their mother Claire are proud of Rick’s accomplishments and the unique military life they led. He will be missed by many. Collis, William Harris Peacefully at the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre on Monday March 3, 2003 in his 92nd year. Dear Husband of Donna (nee Loach). Predeceased by his first wife Grace and four brothers and one sister. He was a life member of Masonic Builders Lodge #177 and a retired steel Printer Local no. 6 of Canadian Bank Note. He was a founder of Woodroffe United Church and served on the board for several years. Willy was a lover of music and life. A private memorial service will be held in the spring. Inurnment at Capital Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements in the care of Tubman Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre Alzheimers Unit would be greatly appreciated.
