Survived by his sister Lorraine Gilchrist of Deep River, son Scott of Brandon, Manitoba, his brothers George, Bernie, Bob and sisters Louise and Elaine. Predeceased by parents George and Carmel Schillemore, and brother-in law Keith Gilchrist.

Jim was a retired MWO of the Canadian Armed Forces and a former employee of AECL.
