Caruana - Joseph John Michael of London and formerly of St. Thomas, on Sunday, November 3, 2002, at the L.H.S.C. (Victoria Campus) in his 68th year. Good friend of Diane Oncz of London and lovingly remembered by his children Elaine Meloche and her husband Ken of St. Thomas, Heather Caruana of St. Thomas, Julie Osborne and husband Ron of Union, Lorraine White and her husband Terry, Cynthia Caruana and John Caruana and his wife Shirley, all of London. Dear Brother of Mary Langley and her husband Ronald, Carmen Luft and her husband bob, all of St. Thomas, Edith Kinsella and Marcel Trottier of Ottawa, John Caruana of Brantford. Predeceased by a brother Frank (1996) and Lino (1997). Also remembered by his former wife Marion. Sadly missed by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Joseph was born in Malta Nov. 3, 1935, the son of the late Michael and Lora (Abela) Caruana. He worked for Phibbs Printing, Sutherland Press and Ford Canada. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, the Elgin Regiment and the Legion. Powell - Edna Mary (Atkinson) of Valleyview Home, St. Thomas, on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at her late residence, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Garnett Powell (May 31, 1980) and dearly loved mother of Mary Jane and her husband Robin Wadley of St. Thomas. Much loved grandmother of Brian and his wife Sheri Ann Wadley, Steven and his wife Denise Wadley and Jeffrey Wadley. Predeceased by a brother William Atkinson. Edna was born Oct. 30, 1909 in Newcastle, England, the daughter of the late William and Edith Atkinson. She was a life Member of I.O.D.E. and First United Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher over 25 years, a former member of the Board and a member of the U.C.W. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment Elmdale cemetery. Stover - Robert Keith of St. Thomas, on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at the L.H.S.C. (Victoria Campus), in his 74th year. Dearly loved husband of 50 years of Virginia Diane (Hillesheim) Stover and devoted father of Diane and her husband Jim Wakefield of St. Thomas and Robert Jr. and his wife Debbie Stover of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Dear brother of Jack and his wife Betty of London, Ben and his wife Marilyn of R.R. 1 Belmont, Margaret Littlejohn, Jean and her husband Herb Haight, and Glynn and his wife Joanne Stover, all of St. Thomas. Predeceased by 2 brothers Allan and Hugh and a sister Euneice Jennings. Cherished grandfather of Rob, Mike and Jennifer Wakefield and Corey and Ryan Stover. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Robert was born in St. Thomas November 23, 1928, the son of the late Clarence and Beatrice (Hill) Stover. He was retired from Weatherhead and enjoyed golfing at Belmont Golf Club. He loved to attend his grandchildren’s minor hockey and baseball games and was known by all the kids as Grandpa Bob. Wye - Margaret Ann Wye-Holditch in her 63rd year passed away quietly on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Continuing Care Centre with her family by her side, after a short battle with Cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband Bill Wye of Lyons. Daughter Carmen, son-in-law Lloyd and granddaughter Amanda Gillies. Daughter Teresa, son-in-law Ed, granddaughters Jessica and Tonya Langford. Daughter Michelle , son-in-law Pat, grandson Brendan, step grandchildren Tim and Kayla Costello. All Ingersoll residents. She is also survived by her parents Evelyn and Douane Holditch of Copenhagen. Sister Muriel Jones of Milton Florida, brother Donald and wife Carol Holditch also of Copenhagen. Foster brother Frank Wallace and friend Barb of St. Thomas. Sister-in-law Marg and Mike Pardy, sister-in-law Gloria and Dave Rouiston, brother-in-law Gary Wye, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by Mabel and Bill Wye Senior and brother-in-law Jim Wye. Born in Malahide Township on September 18, 1939. Margaret Ann attended East Elgin Secondary School. She lived at Crampton for 38 years and worked at Coyle and Greer Awards in Putnum. Visitation will be held at Kebbel Funeral Home, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Aylmer cemetery. In remembrance donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
