passed away peacefully on January 1, 2006 at the age of 34 years. Loving daughter of Rhéal and Carole Parent. Cherished sister of Christine and Luc. She will be sadly missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Sincere thanks to the CCU medical staff of The Heart Institute and the ICU and PACU staff of the Ottawa Hospital General Campus as well as the Palliative Care Service for their great care and compassion. Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 2757 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans. Family members will be present as of 10:15 a.m. to receive condolences. Sister-in-law of Claudette Pichette, Georgette Lemieux, Albert and Randi Saumur, Madelaine Galipeau, Jeannine and Raymond Boisvert, Simone and Pierrot Lambert, Cécile Saumur, Denise and Rolland Vendette, Robert Brisebois, Robert and Thérèse Saumur. Predeceased by her adoptive brother Raymond Pichette, brothers-and sisters-in-law René and Gwenn, Thérèse and Doug Rickey, Romuald Lemieux, Maurice and Marie, Marcel, Roger, Hermance and Jean-Claude Lemay, Louise Brisebois. passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 16, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 54 years. Widow of Bernie Gagnon. Loving mother of Greg Blake (Tracey). Cherished grandma of Kiara, Matthew, Kayla, Sidney and Abbey. Step-mother of Nicole Lebreton (Brian) and Andre Gagnon (Wendy). She will be sadly missed by her sisters and brothers and their families, as well as by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Sam and Ellie Walsh, her brother Sam Jr. Walsh and her sister Karen Walsh. Special thanks to Dr. Coulombe and her team of nurses and to many friends for their acts of kindness. Survived by his sister Doreen Vanderbol (John), his sister-in-law Evelyn Gellately (Alex), Jeannine Taylor, his brother-in-law Edward Taylor and Jean-Jacques Lefebvre and their families. Will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and beloved companion Buffy. Peacefully passed away at Elisabeth-Bruyère Hospital on January 31st, 2006 at the age of 65. Beloved husband and best friend of Gail Chabot (née Fleming). Cherished father of Roselle (Dan), John (Cindy), and Andrea (Jerry). Loving grandfather of Annique, Evelyne, Ilyana, Mitchell, Nicholas, Kyle, Travis, and Genoah. Predeceased by parents Emilia and Romuald Chabot, brother Lloyd (Lucille), nephew Ronnie Lowe, father-in-law James Fleming and sister-in-law Ann Fleming. He will be sadly remembered by his siblings Gisèle, Roger (Monique), Gilbert (Judy), Bobby (Pam), Julie (Robin), Diane (Lyle), Maurice (Judy), Mark (Diane), as well as many nieces, nephews, and two aunts. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 20 years, working later as a civilian member of DND; then joined the Corps of the Commissionaire until his retirement in 1999. Gerald was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Knights of Columbus. Fond of the outdoors, he loved camping, fishing, jogging and shared these attributes with his children. The family will receive relatives and friends at Heritage Funeral Home, 2871 St. Joseph Blvd., Orléans on Monday February 6th, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Divine Infant Parish, 6658 Bilberry Dr., Orléans, on Tuesday February 7th, 2006 at 10 a.m., followed by a reception in the parish hall. After an arduous battle against cancer, Suzanne Saint-Jacques (Labrèque) died on 21st January 2006 at the age of 60. Other than her husband, Michel Labrèque, she leaves in mourning her children: François (Isabelle Jargaille), Anne (Benoît Fortin), Marc and her grand-daughter, Laurence, whom she adored so much. Also stricken by her passing, her mother Mrs. Jean Saint-Jacques of Quebec City, her sisters and brothers; Marie (William Bastarache) of La Pocatière, Hélène (Daniel Harrison) of Ottawa, Denis (Christel Kruger) of Quebec City and Pierre (Béatrice Bédard) of Montréal along with many nieces and nephews and their children. A service will be held on Friday 27th of January 2006 in Quebec City at the Saint-Patrick church, located at 1145 de Salaberry street. The service will begin at 14:00, the family will receive your condolences one hour beforehand.
