Robert died peacefully at the Hospice at May Court, Ottawa, after a valiant 11 year battle with prostate cancer. He was lovingly surrounded by family as he began his new journey. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, he is pre-deceased by his mother Ingrid and his first wife Helen. Robert is survived by his loving wife Lucette Bertrand-Holmgren; his three children Tracey, Robin and Robert; father Marius; sister Susanne and brother Lennart. He was also a very proud Far-Far and Mor-Far to nine grandchildren who will miss him dearly. A sincere and heart- felt thank-you to Dr. Coulombe and the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Hospice at May Court. Your compassion and dedication allowed Robert to pass away with dignity, love and kindness. Peace, Dad we love you. Peacefully, with grace and dignity at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Amherst, N.S., the daughter of the late Sarah Agnes (Hicks) and Warren Leon Hoeg. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Ron. Proud mother of three beautiful daughters Michelle Bettencourt of Maple Ridge, B.C.; Patty Parmiter (Ray) of Darmstadt, Germany; Cynthia (Steve Schramm) of Alexandria, Virginia. Also survived by sisters Emma Conrad of Truro, N.S. and Grace Lee of Amherst, N.S. as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her sister Violet Wells; brothers Warren and Norman Hoeg and two brothers in infancy, William and John. After high school in Amherst, she moved to Truro, N.S. and worked for the T. Eaton Company before marrying Ron, continuing her life journey as an RCAF wife. She was a consummate military wife, serving at Ron’s side at many bases throughout Canada and the USA raising her three girls and always participating in the social and charitable activities of these communities. On retirement to Ottawa, after their final posting to the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C., Barb energetically pursued many interests: rug hooking, gardening, traveling, bowling to name a few. Barbara loved life and will be missed. He will be sadly missed by his 2 sisters, Estèlle (Eugène Péladeau) and Cécile (René Côté), as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and numerous friends. Predeceased by his 3 brothers, Jean (Eva), Claude (Gertrude) and Laurent (Claire). We will miss him dearly, however, he has left us a loving legacy and many cherished memories. passed away on November 13, 2007 at the young age of 53 after a fighting battle with Leukemia. Lovingly missed by son Sean and daughter Krista. Best friend of Cheryl Stanley who shared his world adventures for 17 years. Dearest brother of John (Milan) and sister Shirley Hamre (Ross). Stu leaves many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Joe and Betty Grant. Stuart was a business entrepreneur and a refrigeration/air conditioner journeyman. He could fix anything. He was also an excellent boater and sailor. He could always weather a storm. Stuart developed long-term friendships with wonderful people in Florida, Australia and Louisiana; where he went to help after hurricane Katrina.
