In hospital on Thursday, April 3, 2003 aged 74 years. Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Doreen. Dear father of Janis Meder (Harold) of North Carolina and Judy Bond of Ottawa. Loving grandfather of Jennifer and Jessica Meder. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue, at Richmond Road on Saturday, April 5, 2003 after 1 p.m. until service time in the Chapel at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Special thanks to the health care team at the Ottawa General Hospital. Their care and compassion will always be remembered and greatly appreciated.

Peacefully at the Montfort Hospital Hospital on Thursday, March 27, 2003, in her 86th year. Caring and loving mother to Robert Booth (Lynda), Joan (Stewart Smith), Margaret Booth, Nancy Murray, James Booth (Gail), David Booth (Chevy), Elizabeth Ann Davis (Dave McGregor) and Carol-Anne Dalbec (Chris Cody). Dear sister of Joannne Faubert, Rita Pendock, Yves Provost and Lucien Prevost. Cherished grandmther of 16 and great-grandmother of 9. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Monday, March 31, 2003, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 11am interment at Ramseyville cemetery later in spring. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 154 Somerset St. West at Elgin. In a local hospital, on March 28, 2003 at the age of 72 years and 4 months, son of the late Alma Laporte and the late Emile Durocher. Beloved husband of Jeanne Godard. Father of Pauline (Claude Delorme), Lionel (Lisa Danis), Lise (Robert Boyle), Nicole (Jean-Remi Ross), Christine and Julie. Brother of Alma (Alban Longtain), Agnes (Robert Lebrun), Irene (Louis Brousseau), Therese (Rosario Beriault), Helene (Raymond Savard), Fernande (Bruce Lamarche), Francoise (Jean-Marc Monast), Marie-Anne (the late Rene Leroux) and Alphonse "Sonny" Durocher. Predeceased by a brother Rene (Leona Durocher) and two sisters Rita and Jeannine (the late Hector Prevost). Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Euphemie Roman Catholic Church, Casselman on Tuesday April 1, 2003, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Franklin, Ben Retired Mayor - City of Nepean Unexpectedly at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute on Saturday, March 22, 2003 at age 60. Loving husband for 37 years of Sherry (nee William ). Beloved father, friend, teacher and coach of daughter Suzanne and her husband Chris Duc and son Brent. Proud Grandpa of Alyssa. Survived by his brother Bill and sister Anita as well as many other family and friends. We will miss our small town boy with big city dreams. Family will be present at Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive, Nepean for the Lying in State from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday and 2 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Service will be held at Centrepointe Theatre on Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at 11 a.m. Private interment. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. Dear father of André (Sylvie Fournier), Michel (Nicole Marier), Diane (Aurèle St-Jean), Robert (Danielle Larabie), Paul (Elaine Chénier), Nicole (Alain Pagé and the late Byron LeSeelleur). Also loved by his 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Armand, Liliane, Jean, Guy, , Gérard, Pierre, Françoise, Aline and Maurice. Predeceased by brother Rhéal and 2 sisters Lucille and Madeleine. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held at St-Sébastien Roman Catholic Church, 1000 Frances Street, Ottawa on Saturday, April 12, 2003 at 11:00am. Arrangements in care of the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
