Peacefully in hospital on Thursday, September 25th, 2003 at the age of 68. Dearly beloved husband of Denise (nee Schryer). Dear father of Gilles (Debbie Dumoulin), Marc, Luc (Lise Dupuis), Yves, Jacques (Laurie Burnside) and Michel (Sylvie Leonard). Also loved by his six grandchildren Amanda, Melanie, Carine, Nathalie, Stephanie and Patrick. Dear brother of Raymond (Francine Galipeau), Monique (Hector Dupuis) and Guy (Sharon Bourque). Dear brother-in-law of Raymonde Landry (the late Ted), Sister Helene Schryer fdls and Michel Schryer (Debbie Dobenko). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Sunday, September 28th, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church, Carlsbad Springs on Monday, September 29th, 2003 at 11 a.m. Cremation. As an expression of sympathy, flowers or memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at the Montfort Hospital on Friday, August 29, 2003 in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband Edgar John Kirby. Also predeceased by brothers Wallace,Hector, Roy, David and William Maxwell, sister Jean Rourke, grandson Stephen Kirby and granddaughter Laura Dale. She will be forever remembered by children Dr. Marcus Kirby and wife Jeanne, Ruth Dale and her husband Peter, Lionel Kirby and his wife Suzanne, and stepdaughter Verla Greenleese. Also survived by sister Elsie Phillips (St. Catharines) and brother Gordon Maxwell (Tara). She was a warm and generous grandmother to Joy Greenleese. Joanne, Blaik, Andrew and David Kirby, Christopher, Katherine and Jonathan Dale, Kim Mattinson (nee Kirby ) and Stefanie Kirby, and great grandmother of Carolyn, Marc, Amber, Jeremy,Sarah,Zarah,Yasmin, and Robyn. The family is grateful to Dr.Riddle and the staff of Madonna Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion. In celebration of her life a Memorial Service will be held at the Metropolitan Bible Church 453 Bank Street at Gladstone On Saturday, September 27 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements in care of the Central Chapel of Hulse & Playfair McGarry, where parking is available for the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

The family of Sybil Lacey (nee Bowes-Lyon) born in Marylebone, London, England on February 18th, 1918 announces with deep sadness her passing on September 23rd, 2003. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She met her passing with the same strength and dignity as she lived her life. She will be sadly missed by her beloved son Paul and daughter in-law Guylaine in the USA; grandchild Jessika and her husband Greg Artichuk; great granddaughter Emma Grace Artichuk and sister June Durant in Canada; by her beloved daughter Wendy, daughter in-law Sylvia, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren in England; and by her sister Biddy and her husband Ken Wilson in Spain; and by her very special friend and love, Frank Brady. Predeceased by son Peter and brother Tony. Sybil (mum) will always be remembered for her kindness and loving heart and quiet intelligence. The family wishes to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Camilla Gardens for their kindness and extraordinary care. She is survived by her children Robert, Lucien and Therese McKellar as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She is also survived by her sisters Vicky Boulanger and Fleurette Chantigny. She was predeceased by her sons Roger and Reginald as well as brothers and sisters, Alderic Lafontaine, Laure Bauregard, André Lafontaine and Florence Collin. Having survived her beloved husband and best friend Jüri by a year and a day, passed away at home quietly in her sleep on September 17, 2003, age 93. They had been married for over 67 years. Dear mother of Toivo (Deborah Arnold), Jaanus (Carol Cummings) and Kristi Willmot (Rod). Proud grandmother of Jeremy, Melissa, Thea and Hallie; Katie, Robin, Erich, Jennifer and Bonnie; and Brett, and great-grandmother of Caitlin, Mikhayla and Leah; Matt and Scott; Alexa, Annie, Michael, Libby; Alison and Callan. She is also mourned by relatives in Estonia, Sweden and the United States. Formerly of Timmins, 1936-2003 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Carmen, at home on September 22, 2003, a beautiful, loving, caring and giving woman. Predeceased by her beloved husband Jack in 2000. Devoted and loving mother to Sheri (Mark Dayneka) and her son Darcy all of Ottawa.
