Vola Audrey Inniss (nee Brooks) - 02/06/2004

Peacefully in Ottawa on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 in her 87th year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Leonard Inniss. Loving mother of Bert of Barbados, West Indies, Rose-Marie Fernandes of Toronto, Roland (Didi) of Ottawa and Ian (Bea) of Brockville. Also loved by her eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ina Jordan of Barbados, West Indies. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Tuesday, February 10, 2004 from 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 11 at 11am. Interment Beechwood cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions to your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the Carleton Lodge staff Nepean Wing for their loving care and compassion.

Peacefully, on Monday, January 26, 2004, at Colonel By Retirement Residence in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husbands Dr. Fred Jeffrey, Keith Playfair and Howard Walker. Loving mother of James (Sandy) Walker (Pat) of Ottawa, Janet Walker of St. Petersburg, Florida and Bonnie (Dr. Tom Downs) of Claremont, New Hampshire and extended family Ann Playfair-Prasloski (Dr. Peter), the late Joan (Dr. Alex Graham) and Charles Jeffrey (Nicole). Cherished grandmother of ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also survived by her dear sister Merle Ainslie of Ottawa. Predeceased by her brother Lorne Armstrong. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Friday, January 30, 2004, after 10am until service time in the chapel at 11am. Reception to follow in the McGarry Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society, Ottawa, 1053 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON K1Y 4E4 would be appreciated by the family. Loving mother of Gilles (Sandra), Denis (Susan), Roch (Denise) and Carole Kiley (Blaine). Also loved by her grandchildren, Lorraine (Jeff), Stephanie (Jeff), Marc, Andrea (Marc), Marie-Anne, Philippe, Dominique, Chantale and Andre. Dear sister of Robert (Georgette). There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St-Gabriel Roman Catholic Church, 55 Appleford Rd., Ottawa on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Spring at Notre-Dame cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

1960 - 2004 John was the loving, devoted father of Lee. He died in a tragic, untimely accident, on Wednesday, January 28, 2004. He came to the Wakefield area in 1999 from Toronto. John was a successful construction designer, carpenter, artist and woodworker. He leaves many friends and family, and was much loved by everyone who knew him. There will be a Memorial Service and reception at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 139 Valley Road, Wakefield, Quebec, on Monday, February 2nd at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Born March 23, 1929 in Picton, ON. Predeceased by parents Barton and Mae (Darling) Reid and daughter Sharon Ann Graham (1998) of Brantford, ON. Cherished husband of Marilyn (Denney) Reid of 29 years. Loving step-father of Janet Gray (Moore Coughlan) of Orléans and Patricia Gray (Chris Sotiriadis) of London. Proud Poppa of Derek (fiancée Rosa Cichello), Jeffrey and Korey Graham, proud Grandpa of Cory and Karen Moses. Dear brother of Betty (Jack) DeLorge of Traverse City, MI, Darle (Mary) Reid of Miramichi, NB, Cecilia Matthews and the late Charlotte (the late Bob) Frederick of Picton, ON. Lovingly remembered by in-laws Mervyn and Rogean Denney and Mary Davie of Baxter, ON and Don and June Roulston of Barrie, ON, many nieces and nephews, as well as a worldwide circle of good friends. Military postings included Korea, Clinton, Gaza Strip, twice to Germany, Whitehorse, Borden, Petawawa and Kingston and ending a 25 year military career in Ottawa. Retired in 1994 after 19 years employment at LCBO. Recipient of Korea Medal, UN Service Medal, UN Emergency Force Medal, Canadian Forces Decoration and Clasp, Parachute Badge, Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal. Past President and founding member of Korea Veterans Assoc. #7 (Ottawa), Past President and Life Member of Royal Canadian Regiment (RCR) Assoc. (Brockville), Life Member of Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. Assoc. (Ontario), Member of Royal Canadian Legion #632 (Orléans) and #410 Wing. Longtime member of St. David and St. Martin Presbyterian Church, Ottawa. Enjoyed travelling, golfing, woodworking, designing and weaving of more than 200 lawn chairs. Friends may visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road at Aviation Parkway on Friday, January 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9pm and Saturday, January 24th from 1pm until 2:30pm followed by the Funeral Service at St. David and St. Martin Presbyterian Church, 444 St. Laurent Blvd., Ottawa at 3:00pm. Interment in the spring at Capital Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre Foundation, St. David and St. Martin Presbyterian Church or to the charity of your choice.

(nee Hawley) Peacefully after a difficult illness, on Monday, January 26, 2004 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Harry Robinson. Loving mother of Joan Renshall (Bill) and Rita Mullin (Jim). Cherished grandmother of Karen Woolvett (Randy), David Renshall, Linda Schroter (Andy) and Paul Mullin (Colleen), and great grandmother of Nigel, Maxx, Jayson and Haley. A private family service will be held, followed by a memorial service in the spring. Arrangements in care of the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry. A special thank you to the staff of Meadow & Garden at Granite Ridge Residence for the tender loving care shown to mom during her stay.
