est décédée paisiblement à la résidence Marochel le vendredi 13 juin 2008 à l’âge de 97 ans. Elle était l’épouse bien-aimée de feu Raoul Pepin et de feu Aderisse Renaud et de feu Ferdinand Laframboise. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses deux filles: Rita Bertrand (Noël Bertrand) et Jeannette Renaud- Dion. Elle laisse également ses petits–enfants et ses arrière-petits-enfants. Elle fut prédécédée par ses deux fils: René Pepin (Irène Welsh) et Maurice Pepin (Jacqueline Bertrand-Pepin); ses parents ainsi que ses frères et soeurs. La famille recevra parents et ami (e) (s) à la maison funéraire St-Laurent de Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 1200, chemin Ogilvie (angle promenade de l’Aviation) à Ottawa le vendredi 20 juin 2008 à compter de 10h. La liturgie de la Parole suivra en la chapelle à 11h30. L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière St-Bernard.

Suddenly in his home, Ken passed away on Saturday June 21st, 2008. Loving partner of Garnet Millar, son of the late Sydney and Vera Last. Beloved brother of Jean O’Connor (Ian), Lorraine Doig (Gordon) and Ida-Mae Hillman. Much loved uncle of Leslie, Adrianne, Rob, Kari, Joelle and Corleigh; Anthony, Marie-Eve, Jean-Francois, Tania, Melissa, Bryan, Eric, Roxanne, Kreg, Blade, Eton, Jade, Alexander, Alexandria, and Jacob. Great uncle of Kyle, Rylee, Collin, Jessica, Sarah and Sam. Friends and family are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, June 26th at 11:30 am. A reception will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of the Farm or the Starwood Nursing Home Activities group.

Gerard (Gabor) Litvan - 06/16/2008

May 17, 1927 - June 15, 2008

Gerard died the way he lived, quietly, with dignity and with his family close by, his sister Erika, wife Annie (Anna), daughter Julia and son (in-law) Maury, granddaughter Katie, grandson Adam and granddaughter-in-law Cyndi and most recent pride and joy great-grandson Izsak. Gerard was a leading expert in his field of science, recognized worldwide for his vast contributions. His knowledge of music, literature and art was an inspiration to his grandchildren with whom he had a wonderful, loving relationship. His legacy will be the love and support that exists within the family. A graveside service will be held at the Jewish Community cemetery , Bank Street on Thursday, June 19 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Parkinson Society of Ottawa-Carleton. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Madonna Nursing Home for their compassion, helpfulness, understanding, love and care not only to Gerard but to the entire family. Special thanks also to Ariosto Raggo for his care and support. He has been a great help to Gerard and the family during these difficult months.

Peacefully, at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Donald Loyer. Cherished Step-mother of Gayle(Ray), and Cheryl(Paul). Adored sister of Sr. Bernadette Banning ( Sisters of Charity, Saint John NB) and Lorne(Beverly) of Ottawa. Dear daughter of the late Percy and Margaret Banning. Predeceased by her brothers Percy and Malcolm. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry,150 Woodroffe Avenue at Richmond Road on Thursday, June 12 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, 153 Woodroffe Avenue on Friday, June 13 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Notre-Dame cemetery , Ottawa. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.

Peacefully at Carleton Lodge on Sunday June 8, 2008 at the age of 96. Wife of the late Thomas MacIntyre. Loving mother of Bob (Doris) Neil (Audrey), Barry (Barbara) and the late Ronald. Survived by sisters Jean Westbrooke and Kaye Tennant. Predeceased by Madeline, Isabel, Orville and Milburn. Nanny of Heather, Debbie, Jayne, Kevin, Karen, Mike and Julie and 9 great-grandchhildren. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 12 noon until time of service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Carleton Lodge for the wonderful care and continuous support that Chloris and her family received during her stay. Godfather of Laurent, Kim, Chantal and Melanie. Ronald will be forever remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the age of 91, Mel went to her final resting place with Jesus. Beloved wife of the late Edgar Charles "Ted" Martel. Loving mother of Carolyn Hiscox and Erica Kent (John). Cherished grandmother of Christine Hiscox (Mathieu Caron), Keith Hiscox (Natasha Vihos), Sandy DeVries (Steve), and Rob Kent. Loving great-grandmother of Philippe, Sophie and Émilie Caron. Predeceased by her sister Lillian Heinze. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., on Thursday, June 19th from 10:30 a.m. until service time in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Reception in the McGarry Family Reception Centre, followed by interment at Beechwood cemetery. Proud grandfather of Erika, Kaitlyn, Gregory, Evie and Colten. Harold will also be sadly missed by many family and friends.
