LEMON, ELIZABETH ANN ANNEAR (Wife of John Lemon, Sr.) - Charlottetown Guardian Feb 1922 (Family records)
The death took place at the home on Wednesday, Feb. 1st, of Elizabeth Annear, relict of the late John Lemon.
She was the daughter of the late William Annear and Anne Prowse, and was born in Cornwall, England, in the year 1831, being in the ninety-second year of her age, the oldest resident in Montague.
Her parents emigrating to this Island eighty seven years ago.
Many changes have taken place during the life time of this old lady, she clearly remembering when this part of the Island was almost a dense forest, and when only four houses comprised what is today the town of Montague.
She was one of the women in those days, who was always called upon in time of sickness, her service being always cheerfully given.
Many a story could she tell of the conditions in this province in her early life, and of the hardships and privations which the people had to endure; the nearest store being at St. Andrew's Point, almost eight miles away and nothing was thought of walking that distance to do the necessary shopping.
A Methodist in religion, she was a regular attendant at church when health permitted.
Her readiness to help in time of need marked an outstanding feature in the life of this noble woman, and it may be truly said of her, "Thus to relieve the wretched was her pride and all her failings leaned to virtue's side."
Old age, coupled with pneumonia, notwithstanding all that loving hands could do, brought to a close the life of one who will long be remembered in the community in which she lived, and severed the last surviving link in the old Annear family.
She is survived by the following sons and daughters: John, William, and Frank in Montague, Wallace in New York. Mrs. Daniel MacGregor, Montague, Mrs. Artemus Boyce, Mrs. Joseph Smith, and Mrs. William Dunbar, all of Boston.
Two sons, Frederick, and George, and one daughter, Mrs. George Imray of Dorchester, Mass., having predeceased her. The funeral took place from the Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. C. Graham. She was buried in the family plot at Lower Montague, beside that of her husband, who predeceased her thirty-eight years ago.
Where all that was mortal of a good woman was laid to rest.

MRS.SUSAN (WALSH) CAMERON - After an illness of about six months, which she bore with patience the death occurred of Mrs. Donald Cameron on January 25th, 1939. She was looking forward to being with god and those dear ones who had gone before her, two daughters who predeceased her some years ago also four brothers and to sisters.
Her many friends on the Island looked forward to the time when she would be coming home for another visit.
She was always jolly, and had a kind smile for all who knew her.
In May she was home and we little thought that we would never see her sweet smile on earth again.
Mrs. Cameron was Susan Walsh of North Tryon, a daughter of the late Patrick Walsh and Mary Thomas.
She was fondly loved by all her friends and neighbours in Humphrey’s and Moncton and she will be sadly missed. Her two brothers, Fred and Sampson of Tryon where over to see her about a week before she passed away.
Many floral offerings were sent, tokens of love and affection.
A large number of friends and relatives gathered to pay their last tribute of respect to the deceased on Friday, Jan, 27th. The services were conducted by Rev. A.A. Pyke of the Louisville Baptist Church. Hymns sung were: “Safe in the Arms of Jesus”. Jesus, Lover of my Soul” and “ Shall We Gather at the River.”
She Leaves to mourn besides her husband, one son. D. W. Cameron, employee of T. Eaton Co. and two daughters. Mrs. Harvey Fisher and Hazel, both at home; also one sister, Mrs. A. K. Trefrey. Arcadia, N. S. and three brothers, Fred and Freeman of Tryon and Sampson Albany, P.E.I TO whom much sympathy is extended.

He was the son of the late James and Mary Jane (Sellick) Smith.
He leaves to mourn besides his sorrowing wife, (formerly Phoebe Axworthy of North Wiltshire, P. E. Island), four daughters and four sons, who will ever cherish the memory of a faithful husband and a loving father.
The funeral took place Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. and was largely attended by his many friends.
A short service was held at the home after which the remains were conveyed to the United Church at Rose Valley, the services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Morrison, Hunter River, P. E. Island, who spoke comforting words to the bereaved from Revelations Chapter 21 verses 1-10.

Mr. Wilson, Covehead, and was very largely attended. The musical service led by Mrs. W.J. Mutch, Cherry Valley with Mrs. B.R. Brown, York, organist was exceptionally beautiful.
