RYANT, Ena (nee Kaplan). On Sunday, March 11, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Sam. Devoted mother of Sue and the late Leonard Ryant. Cherished grandmother of Jason and Mark Ryant of Vancouver, and great-grandmother of Rory. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Syd and Lily Kaplan, the late Millie and the late Jack Halperin, and the late Harry Kaplan. Ena will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, family and friends. Graveside service on Friday, March 16 at 1:00 p.m., at the Jewish Assistance Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons.

Léonie (Luna) Tarica

TARICA, Léonie (Luna) (née Lévi). Léonie, épouse de feu Abner Tarica pendant quarante-sept ans, nous a quitté paisiblement, le mardi 13 mars, 2012. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses quatre filles : Juliette, Ketty, Clara et Lisa, ses gendres, petits-enfants et arrière-petits-enfants, ainsi que son frère, Jacques et sa sœur, Rica. Le service funéraire se tiendra chez : Paperman & Fils, 3888, rue Jean-Talon Ouest, ce vendredi le 16 mars à 10 h. L’inhumation aura lieu au cimetière « Mount Pleasant » dans la section « King Edward », 5505 Rang du Bas Saint-François, Laval. Prière de n’envoyer ni fleurs, ni couronnes. PIASKOWSKI, Faige (nee Andrezowska). Peacefully, on Saturday, March 17, 2012, in her ninety-ninth year. Beloved wife of the late Yaakov Swidler who perished in the Holocaust, and the late Natan Piaskowski. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Lena and the late Chaim Markel, Sabina Razmov, Miriam and Moishe Grunzeweig. Loving Bubby of Debbie and Joey, Jacob and Heidi, David, Naomi and Jamie, Melissa and Richard, Ari and Heather, Adrienne and David, Mark and Kelly, and Noah. A very proud great-grandmother of Rebecca, Harley, Joshua and Michael. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Chaike and the late Marek, Chana and the late Hershel. Predeceased by her other siblings, Libe, Roche and Jachke, and by her in-laws, who perished in the Holocaust. She will be lovingly remembered by her family. Special thanks to Drs. Grad and Kaud, and her caregiver, Olga for their care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, March 19 at 12 noon. Loving and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Abe and Adele, Harold and Barbara, Bernie and Penny. Cherished Bubbie of Adam and Cristina Tevel, Michael Tevel, Erin Beth and Richard Schnurbach, Sam Tevel, Tami and Neil Dalfen, Sean Tevel, Ryan Tevel and Alanna Tevel. Proud great-grandmother of Samuel Schnurbach. Devoted and loving sister of the late Miriam of Russia. The family would like to extend a thank you to her special companion, Rose Baum, for her friendship and loving care. OHAYON, Albert. Par un beau matin de printemps, Albert nous a quitté après un long combat contre la maladie. Il laisse dans la peine son épouse des 55 dernières années, Maryse Assouline, ses filles bien-aimées Michèle Ohayon (Bruce Tapiero), Martine Ohayon (Claude Harroch), ses petits-enfants adorés Julian, Olivia et Claudia, et ceux qu’il considérait comme ses petits-enfants David Topalian, Andrew et Jordan Harroch. Albert laisse également dans le deuil ses frères Elie, Roger, Jean-Claude et Marc, ses sœurs Lydia et Monique, ses belles-sœurs, ses beaux-frères, ses nièces et ses neveux d’ici, de France et d’Israël. Une pensée particulière pour son beau-frère Jean Claude et son neveu Jacky qui, au long de ces cinq dernières années, l’ont accompagné de leur indéfectible affection et compassion.
