It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Peters Turcotte at the Coaticook Hospital on December 5th 2016, at the age of 88. Long-time companion to the late Roland Cormier and daughter of the late John Peters and the late Tekla Giran.
Visitation will be held at the Cass funeral Home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, on Saturday December 17, 2016 from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life. Interment at a later date.
She leaves to mourn her daughters Joanne and Ginette (Marcel Faucher). She was predeceased by her daughter Theresa. She will sadly be missed by her grandchildren: Jason (Misty) and Eric (Marilyn) Poitras, Ghislain and Jeremy (Annie) Noël, Daniel (Julie) and Brigitte Faucher as well as her 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves many nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Josée Lévesque, social worker at the CLSC Coaticook, for the wonderful care and devotion given to Mrs. Peters and her caregivers.

Passed away at the CHUS Fleurimont, with his family by his side, on Sunday June 10th 2012, Mr. Wayne Kydd at the age of 72. Loving husband of 50 years to Lucienne St-Cyr, and beloved dad of Sandra (Francois Couture), Virginia (Marc Mailhot), Tony (Christine Labranche) and Sonia (Denis Jobin). Special grandpa of Steve and Louiska Leblanc, Ghislain and Maxime Mailhot, Tanya, Keven and Nadia Kydd, and Jeremy and Melodie Jobin. Wayne also leaves to mourn, his great granddaughter Allyson Cyr Leblanc, his mother-in-law Noella Collard, and father-in-law Eugene St-Cyr, along with his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, where friends may visit on Wednesday June 13th from 7 to 9 PM and on Thursday from 1 to 1:45 PM. A funeral service will be held in St-Anne’s Anglican Church on Thursday June 14th at 2:00PM with Rev. Wanda Dillabough officiating. Interment in St-Anne’s Cemetery. Passed away with dignity and great courage at the CHUS Fleurimont, following a courageous battle against cancer, on Monday, May 28, 2012 at the age of 87. Loving husband of the late Ora Gunter, dear father of Beverley (Gary Judge), Debra (late Fred Johnston), James (Jocelyn Lancaster) and Timothy. Len also leaves to mourn his 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Len is also survived by his sister-in-law Judy Saffin (Francis) and Dorothy Gunter (late Clifford). Suddenly at the Connaught Rest Home, North Hatley, QC on Friday, May 30, 2008 at the age of 77. Harold Kenneth Runions, beloved husband of the late Edna Arbery and dear father of Sandi, Stephen (Sheila), Ken (Kathy), and Sharron (Randy Macaskill). Harold was the grandfather of Robbin, Jonathon, Emily, Douglas and Derek. He is survived by his 2 sisters Eileen LaForge and Joyce Alderson and was predeceased by his brother William and by his sisters Stella Martin, Mildred McNab and Marjorie McCurdy. Harold also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Passed away at the Grace Christian Home, on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at the age of 82 years. Wife of Howard Doherty and loving sister of Rose (Réal Roussin), Kathleen (Robert Roussin), Charlotte (Réal Mathieu), John (Joyce) and Donald (Nancy). She was also the sister of the late Mary (Frederick Whitehead). She leaves to mourn her nieces, nephews and dear friends. Ruth DILLON (nee Kerr) Passed away at the Hotel-Dieu Hospital on January 13, 2013 in her 90th year after a recent illness. Ruth was the beloved wife of Carl Dillon for 72 years predeceased by her brother Howard and her sister Bertha. She leaves to mourn her daughter's Donna (Ray Loveland) and Carolyn (Terry Cairns), her grandchildren Lisa (Pat) Greg (Ann-Marie) Jamie (Pam) Robyn (Rob) and Kelly (Rob) Will be sadly missed by her great grandchildren Daniel, Liam, Jaxon, Rielyn, Ben, Ava, Gillian, Sydney and Riely. Passed away gracefully at her home on Sunday December 2nd 2007, with her family by her side, Rae Towsey at the age of 65. Loving wife of 44 years to Michael J.P. Towsey, and dear mother of Suzanne (David Stevens) and Michael. Cherished Grandma of Jessica and Jason Stevens and of Francis Towsey. Rae also leaves to mourn; her sister Olga Morrison of Abbotsford BC, her brothers Kenneth Johnson (Maureen) of Victoria BC and Edgar Gjelstad (Louise) of New Zealand, her brother-in-law Arthur Towsey (Suzanne), her step-father Douglas Townsley, her dear friend Elizabeth McNally, along with many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Evelyn will also be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren Vanessa, Alexis and Michael along with other relatives and many friends. Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu, following a courageous 7 year battle with cancer, at the age of 59. Jean leaves to mourn, Nancy Valcourt and his beloved son Jean-Paul, along with many friends. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Jean's neighbor, M. Robert Johnson, for always giving Jean a helping hand. A sincere thanks to the staff of the CLSC-Cookshire, CHUS Hospital Fleurimont and the CHUS Hotel-Dieu palliative care, in Sherbrooke. Jean fought his battle every step of the way, and he receive excellent care at both hospitals. The family would also like to thank Dr. Helene Payeur for her visits at the house and hospital. Patricia Nichols Stevens peacefully passed away at the Wales Home in Richmond on April 22 2017 at the age of 95. Loving wife of the late Sydney Stevens, she leaves to mourn her children: Sandra (Jim Meyers), Greg (Josée Nadeau), her grandchildren Shelley and Christopher Stevens (Rebecca Younge), Michael and Matthew Meyers and her great grandchildren: Lochlan and Callum Stevens.
The family will welcome friends and relatives on Saturday April 29 at the Trenholm United Church on Rte 243 in Trenholm from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.
The family would also like to extend a sincere thanks to all the staff at the Wales Home (central) for the kindness and care provided.
