Johnston, Kevin

Passed away peacefully at the CSSS de la MRC de Coaticook on Saturday, April 1st 2006. Kevin Johnston at the age of 38. Kevin, a resident of the Dixville Home, was the dear son of Kenny and Dorothy Johnston of Melbourne. Brother of Colleen (Chris Coote), Carey, Garry (Sonya) and Karen (Daryl Doyle). Kevin also leaves to mourn his grandmothers, nieces and nephew along with many other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and personnel of the Dixville Home for their wonderful care. A private funeral will be held at a later date. We all love you Kevin. DeWolf, John

Passed away at the Montreal Jewish Hospital on Monday, October 10, 2011. at the age of 70. Beloved husband of the late Marthe Roy and cherished father of Cindy (Shelden) and Sean. Dear brother of Paul. John will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law along with other relatives and many friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 545 Dufferin, Stanstead 819-876-5213 on Friday, October 14, 2011, where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until departure for Sacred Heart Church at 10:50. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Jobel, George

Passed away at the Connaught Home, North Hatley, QC, on Friday, March 24th 2006 at the age of 85. George Edward Jobel, beloved husband of Arlene Wells. He was predeceased by his parents: Helen Povey and Arthur Jobel, his first wife: Elma Wilson, an infant son George, his brother Ronald, niece Linda and nephew Larry. Survived by three stepsons: Ronald (Ruth Ann), George, Jeffrey (June); two brothes-in-law: Clayton Wells and Ron Badger; Fondly remembered and sadly missed by five grandchildren: Kelly and Brad Jobel, Jaryn (Brandon Haines), Amanda and Jonna Jobel; great-grandchildren: Chase, Kayla, Bryce and Mariah, along with his many relatives and friends:Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 6 Belvidere St. Lennoxville, QC, where friends may visit on Sat. March 25th from 7 to 9 pm, on Sun. March 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm and on Monday, March 27th 2006, from 1 to 1:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the St-Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev.John Barry Forsyth officiating. Interment in the Hatley United Church Cemetery, Hatley, QC. As memorial tributes, donations to the Dr. W. J. Klinck Foundation, 1501 Campbell Ave. Lennoxville, QC J1M-2A3 or to St-Andrew's Presbyterian Church, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Jennings Kelley, Margaret

Passed away at the Asbestos Hospital on Sunday February 5th, 2006, Margaret M. Kelley at the age of 83. Wife of the late William J. Kelley, and mother of William J. Kelley (Mary) of Dalton Gardens, Idaho USA, and Michael P. Kelley (Cathryn) of Sacramento California, USA and of the late James Wakefield Kelley. Margaret also leaves to mourn her 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her dear friend Lou Joyal, and special nephews Rev. Reginald Jennings, Bill Jennings, John Jennings and Alex Jennings, along with many other relatives and friends. At her request, cremation was held, and will be followed by the interment of ashes in the Hillside Cemetery in Hawkesbury Ontario at a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer Society, 1036 rue Belvedere Sud, local 0212 (sous-sol), Sherbrooke, QC J1H 4C4 would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond on Tuesday, January 3rd 2006. Mr. Cecil Johnston in his 98th year. Loving husband of the late Mary A. Beers and dear father of Margaret (Wiiliam ¨Bill ¨Frazer), Edward ¨Ted ¨(Debbie) and James (Grace). Cecil also leaves to mourn his grandchildren: Jason, Ryan, Melissa, Jennie, Stephanie, Jessica, Mark and Joshua along with other relatives and friends. Cecil was predeceased by his sisters: Muriel (Harry Parkes), Dorothy (Winston Beers) and Gladys (Ronald Mooney) and his brother Eric (Christina). Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. S.Richmond, QC..Tel:826-2502 , where friends may visit on Friday, January 6th from 7 to 9p.m., and on Saturday, January 7th from 10 to 11 a.m.. Johnston, Frederick Suddenly at his home in Melbourne, Quebec, on March 20th 2005 at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband and dearest best friend of Debra Knowles. Loving father of Terry (Sheila Webster) and Tammy. Dear grandfather of Michael. Cherished brother of Phyllis (Bev Skillen), Brenda (Jim Blyth), Betty (Mike Badger) and Sandra (Jos Schroeders). Also survived by his " special " dad and mom, Len and Ora Knowles, and his in-laws, Bev (Gary), Jim (Jocelyn) and Tim. Also his grandmother, Marguerite Gunter. He will also be greatly missed by all his dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale St. S. Peacefully at the CHUS Hotel Dieu Hospital, Sherbrooke, QC with her family by her side, on Monday, January 24th 2005 in her 78th year. Beloved wife and soulmate of Elmore Barter, cherished mother of Barb (Murray Ward), Lloyd (Buzz) (Karen Holder, Steve (Sue Kirby); loving gram to Paula Ward (Troy Bean), Sandy Ward (Murray Suitor), Andrew Ward (Angela Nutbrown), Jared, Tristan and Tara Barter, Joshawa and Jesse-Sue Barter; special great-gramma to Chad and Cody Bean and pre-deceased by her great-granddaughter Arianna Ward. The family will receive condolences from family and friends at the Cass Funeral Home, 554 Main St. Bury, QC, on Thursday, January 27th from 2 to 4 pm. Joyal Olney, Claire

Peacefully at the Wales Home, Richmond QC on Tuesday November 23, 2004 in her 87th year. Cecile Joyal, beloved wife of the late Deane Roderick Olney. Cecile is survived by her sister-in-law Doris McNeill Olney (the late Stephen John); nieces Ann (Ron Belden). And Sandra (Andrejs Skaburskis) and their families. She also leaves to mourn many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at Ste. Anne's Catholic Church, 144 Daniel Johnson St., Danville on Friday November 26th, 2004 at 10:30 AM, with Father Leo Durocher and Rev. Reginald Jennings officiating. Please note that the family will be at the Church one hour prior to the service to meet with family and friends. Interment to follow in the Danville Protestant Cemetery. McDougall, Annabel

Annabel Victoria McDougall, born on January 28, 1916, passed away in North Hatley on February 14, 2016.

Daughter of the late Edwin and Marie McDougall. Long time companion of the late Harold Joseph Clement.

Beloved mother of Margaret Genevieve Piper (Gerald) and Dianne Calista Rowe (Michael); grandmother of Claudette Martin, Theresa Rowe and the late Philip Rowe; and great grandmother of Lance Martin and Megan Martin.

A committal service will be held later this year.

Gifts in Annabel’s memory may be given to the Haskell Free Library (1 Church Street, Stanstead, QC, J0B 3E2). May she rest in peace.

Montgomery Carruthers, Margot

Passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2016 at her home in Stanstead, Quebec.

Loving wife of Garry, Margot is predeceased by her parents Earl Gordon Montgomery and Gladys McNutt.

Dear mother of Gregory Foulkes (Julianne) and Robert Foulkes (Suzanne); and step mother of Bryan Carruthers (Joanne) and David Carruthers (Sally).

She will be missed by her grandchildren Olivia Foulkes, Braden Foulkes, Melissa Beauregard, Justin-Pier Beauregard, Gabriel Beauregard, Ariane Beauregard, Derrick Carruthers, Lyanne Carruthers, and Tyler Carruthers.

She leaves to mourn her brothers Gordon and Peter Montgomery, and her niece Michelle Montgomery.

To honour Margot's wishes, a private graveside service will be held in the spring.

Armstrong Stevens, Norene

Passed away peacefully at her home in Richmond on Monday August 3rd, 2009, Norene Stevens at the age of 68. Loving wife of James Stevens, and dear mother of Donald (Laurinda), Debra (Shannon McTaggart) and Carol (Allen Ezer). Special grandma of Mikayla, Aaron, Ryan, Connor, and Emily. Norene also leaves to mourn, her father Douglas Armstrong, her brothers and sisters, Bryan (Roberta), Gloria (Malcolm Wheeler), Myrna (Russell Worgan), Sharon (Kerry Coffey), Bruce, Wayne (Suzanne), and Craig (Martha) along with her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A celebration of Norene's life will be held in the Richmond-Melbourne United Church on Thursday August 6th at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Valerie Vande Wiele officiating. Please note; the family will be at the Church 1 hour prior to the service to receive condolences prior to the service. Interment in the Trenholm cemetery following the service. Donation to the Wales Home Foundation, 506 Rte 243 N., Richmond, QC J0B 2H0 would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Cass Funeral Homes, Richmond. 819-826-2502

Auray, Maurice

Passed away peacefully in Sherbrooke Que surrounded by his family on Wednesday April 29, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Maurice Auray, beloved husband and best friend of Ann Goodin and dear father of Phil (Suzanne), Robbie (Diane), Cheri (Randy), Cindy (Richard) and Dawn (Brian). Maurice was the cherished grandfather of Erin, Daniel, Mathew, Gina, Sam, James, Tonie, Jordan, Reiley, Kolbie and Jessie" Bessie ". Maurice is also survived by his sisters Cleo, Louise and his brother Philip and was predeceased by his sister Jackie. In respect of Maurice's wishes cremation was held. No visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Lingwick Cemetery Gould Que on Saturday May 9, 2009 at 2 PM. Rev John Barry Forsyth officiating. There will be a time of fellowship and remembrance at the "Hut" 300 St.Francis St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) at 3:30 PM all are welcome. As memorial tributes donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canda, Quebec Division, 666, Rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Bureau 1500, Montreal Quebec, H3A 1E7 or to The Children's Wish Foundation (Music Fest) Quebec West Chapter, 4200, boul St-Laurent, Suite 418 Montreal, QC. H2W 2R2 will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. "
