Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in her 95th year on Friday, January 15, 2016.
Predeceased by husband, Michael, and son, Eugene. Left to mourn is daughter, Tanya of Sherbrooke, Quebec, and son Serge (Sharon) of Sechelt, B.C. Also survived by her grandson, Shawn, of Sherbrooke, Quebec.
Alice had volunteered in the Lennoxville area and had also worked at Bishops College School for a number of years.
At her request, she was cremated. A private graveside service and interment of ashes will be held at Windsor Protestant Cemetery at a later date.
As memorial tributes, donations to the Wales Home Foundation (506 Rte 243N, Cleveland, QC, J0B 2H0) would be appreciated by the family.

Majury, Graydon
Graydon Majury passed away at the Claresholm Hospital, in Claresholm Alberta on December 23, 2015 at the age of 89.
He is survived by his brother Howard (Mary Bown). He was the beloved son of the late Thomas Brown Majury and late Elizabeth Seale Cromwell Munn, and brother of the late Norman (late Mary Robinson). He was the beloved uncle of Janet (Murray Lloyd), Sandy (Roger Davis), Cyndi (Dan Eldridge), Richard, (Jenny Mooney), the late Lindsay (Judy Woods) and several great nieces and nephews.
Having been born in Sawyerville, Quebec, Graydon spent the first 88 years of his life in the Lennoxville area. He knew many folks from his early days working with dairy cattle, and later through working at Bishop’s University. He was active in the Farmer’s Association and enjoyed many travels and fair activities with that group. He was an active member of the Lennoxville United Church.
In December of 2014 he decided to move to Nanton Alberta and spent the final year of his life enjoying frequent visits and outings with family. He was admitted to hospital on November 30, 2015, and passed away on December 23, 2015. Graydon made friends with everyone he met in life, and will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held at 1:00pm at the Lennoxville United Church on Thursday May 26, 2016. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:30 pm. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Cookshire Cemetery directly following the service. The family invites all friends to stay for a light lunch to be served in the church hall, upon return from the cemetery.

McIntyre Smith, Kathleen
1926 - 2015 Kathleen passed away on December 20th, 2015 at the age of 89, daughter of the late William McIntyre and the late Hazel Bennett. Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Frank Smith. She leaves to mourn her children Meta (Edgar Smith), Russell (Chantal Préfontaine) and Cecil; her grandchildren Richard, Benjamin, David, Christine, Kyle and Kayley; her great-grandchildren Melissa, Melody, Alice and Jessy as well as her brother Bernard. Kathleen is also predeceased by her daughter Ruby (Mike Crooks) and her sister Jean (Harvey Bennett).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Cass Funeral Home, 900 Clough Street in Ayer's Cliff. A celebration of life will follow at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date.
To honour her life, instead of flowers, do a good deed for a friend or stranger on her behalf - she would like that. Donations may also be made to the VITAE Foundation, caring for the health needs of the entire population in the Eastern Townships, 375, Argyle St, Sherbrooke, QC, J1J 3H5.
Nugent, Harris
1922-2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harris Nugent, aged 94, who passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on February 24, 2017.
Harris always had a ready smile and a story to tell. He will be sorely missed by family, friends and his community, but will not be forgotten.
Son of Grant and Harriet Nugent, born on November 16, 1922 in Maple Grove. Settled in Cookshire at the age of 13. Farmer, WWII veteran, dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Husband of the late Gloria Coates, and survived by his dear life companion Geraldine Macaulay, brother Bobby, sons Dany and Kim, and grandchildren Jessica, Scott, Kelly, Julia, and Corey.
A special thanks to family and friends for the all the phone calls, visits and continuous support, as well as staff at La Maison Aube-Lumière for the wonderful care Harris received.
All are welcome to join us in honoring Harris's life on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Armory in Bury. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, and will be followed by a celebration of his life.

Johnston, Robert
Passed away peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont in Sherbrooke, QC, on September 19, 2009, Mr. Robert Johnston at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Rheta H. Massey, and dear brother of the late George Johnston (the late Shirley), the late Ruth French (the late Gerald), the late Ernest Johnston (the late Irma), Ivan Johnston (Fran, and the late Gweneth), and the late Miriam Johnston (the late Elton Pike). Robert was predeceased by his brother-in-law Gordon Massey. Robert also leaves to mourn his many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A memorial service will be held at the Wales Home, 506 Rte 243 N, Richmond, on Wednesday October 21st at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service at St-James Cemetery, South Durham, on Friday October 23rd at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Gill Couture, Marguerite
Marguerite Gill Couture, 86, of Stanstead, QC. passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Foyer in Magog, QC. She was born in Ayer’s Cliff, QC. on February 16, 1927. Marguerite was predeceased by her parents George Gill and Ora (Gustin) Gill and her husband Robert Couture. She is survived by a nephew and two nieces, Ronald Couture and his wife Donna of Rock Island, QC., Sandra (Couture) Forcier and her husband Francis of Springfield, Vermont, and Diane Couture of Stanstead. QC., a cousin Barbara Leney of Ontario, as well as numerous Gustin cousins.A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ayer’s Cliff Cemetery located in back of the Beulah United Church on main street.
Gagné Quirion, Fernande
Passed away at the C.S.S.S. Memphremagog on April 20, 2013, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of Youville Quirion and cherished mother of: Jacqueline (Dennis Fortin), Rolande (Ernest Fortin), Réal (Raymonde Beaudin), Lorraine (Matt Arnam), Francine (Chuck Muhr), Ronald (Jeanne Guitar), Carmen (Eudore Durocher), Claire (Rory Groulx), Serge (Sandra Chepanik) et Yvan (Wayne Harrietha); Fernande will also be sadly missed by her 24 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers and sisters Constance (Viateur Fontaine), Réal (Jeannine Delabruere), Fernand (Dorothée Grenier), Gertrude (Marc Côté), Laurent (Lucille Scalbrinié) Gaston and (Claire Brault). She was predeceased by her sister Rachelle and brother Jean Guy. She also leaves numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home. 545 Dufferin, Stanstead, on Sunday, May 5, 2013, where friends and family may come to visit from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Also on Monday May 6 from 10:00 until 10:50 a.m.. A funeral will be held in the Sacred Heart Church, Stanstead, at 11:00 a.m. followed by cremation. Glauser, Peter
Peter Glauser 1937-2013 Peter passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont at the age of 75 after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Evelyn Knapp and loving father of Remy (Amélie). He was the son of the late Ferdinand Glauser and the late Emma André and the late step-father Remy Binggeli. He also leaves his brother Daniel (Karin) and sister the late Dori (Paul). He also leaves his niece Erika (Ernest) and his nephews Martin (Cornelia) and Markus as well as many other relatives in Switzerland. A memorial service will take place at the grave site at a later date.
Galeazzi, Glauco
Passed away peacefully on Saturday April 13th, 2013 at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu, Sherbrooke, Mr. Glauco Galeazzi at the age 90. Beloved husband of 62 years to Katie (nee Peters), and loving father of Hetty (René Blais), Tony (late Barbara Watson), Karin (Johnny Vander Wal) and Linda (Alex Hylke). Dear Opa to Martin, Kristel, Siobhan, Alex and Erica. Great grandpa to Simon. Glauco also leaves to mourn, many family and dear friends in the Netherlands. The family would like to thank the staff and personnel at the Wales Home, the personnel of floor 5C at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu and especially Doctors Marc Bezeau and Dr. Sophie Martel for the compassion and exceptional care they provided. A funeral mass will be held at Ste-Bibiane Catholic Church on Saturday April 20th 2012 at 11:00 AM followed by the interment in the Parrish cemetery.
