Suddenly at the CHUS Fleurimont on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, from Danville at the age of 72, son of the late Percy Matthews and the late Muriel Gunter.
Wayne leaves to mourn his spouse Madeleine Audet, his son John-Wayne and daughter-in-law Laurie Frost. His sisters: Florence (late Keith Nutbrown), Rona (Bruce Gregory) and his nephews: Terry (Julia Gifford) and Lee-Wayne Patterson, Michael Nutbrown. His brothers and sisters-in law as well as other relatives and friends.
The family will be present to accept condolences at the St-Augustine Anglican Church, 73 du Carmel, Danville, Que. from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m on Saturday July 23, 2016. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fondation du CHUS, 530 10e Avenue Sud, Sherbrooke, QC, J1G 2R9, would be appreciated by the family.
Sylvester, Wanda
(1958-2017)
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Sylvester, on April 11, 2017 at the age of 59. Daughter of the late Clayton Sylvester and the late Helena Martin. Wanda leaves to mourn her life companion Roland Duquette, her beloved children: Raymond Jr. (Jenny Bolduc), Christina (Kevin Gauthier) and Michaël; her grandchildren Matthew, Ashley, Amy, Jayden and Jacob; her brothers and sisters: Hazel (Bruce Kerr), the late William (Linda Lowe), Myrna (the late Pierre Bolduc), Brenda (the late Brian Lowe), the late Joyce (the late Herbert “Junior” Thompson), Geraldine (Bill Murray) and Larry “Pete” (Rena Charron). She also leaves to mourn her mother-in-law Colombe Turcotte, her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Pierrette, Serge (Diane Boutin), Christine (Michel Alix), the late Jocelyn (Nicole Redden), Sylvain (Colette Drouin), Yves and Josée (Andreas Haubl) and the family of the late Raymond Sr. Lloyd along with her many nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends.
Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 50 Craig St. Cookshire on Friday, April 14th 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and also on Satruday, April 15, from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at the St. Paul’s Anglican Church Bury, 558 Main St. Bury, QC. Interment at the Bury Protestant Cemetery.
Smith, William (Bill)
April 23, 1935 - March 21, 2017
Born in Leeds, Quebec, William (Bill) Smith leaves to mourn his loving wife, Barbara Stevenson, and his children Peter and Linda Smith (Jean Thivierge), his step children Bryan, Mary, Jane, Susan and Martha Mitchell, William's sisters Enid and Juanita of Ottawa.
Bill was a very compassionate man who cared deeply for his family, friends and community. He was Regional Manager for Ultramar for over 40 years and a devoted Town Councilor for the Borough of Lennoxville. Bill was an avid golfer and past president of the Lennoxville Curling Club. He shared many good times with friends playing cribbage and bridge. Bill and Barbara have wonderful memories of their extensive travels and cruises.
Visitation will take place at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Lennoxville, QC, on Friday April 7th, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Lennoxville United Church on April 8th at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Champoux, his family physician, and the medical team and nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the CHUS Hotel-Dieu Hospital.
Contributions to the Canadian Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
Séguin Phillips, Leona
1924 – 2016
Mrs. Leona Séguin passed away at the CSSS Memphrémagog, on November 28th, 2016 in her 93rd year, formally from Stanstead. Loving wife to the late George Moran and the late Russell Phillips. Daughter of the late George Séguin and Émilia Gaudreau.
Mrs. Séguin will be missed by her sisters Thérèse and Jeannette. She was predeceased by her brothers Alfred, Oscar, Roland and Clarence.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Lovett, George Henry
RCN World War II
Passed away peacefully on June 22, 2013 at The Wales Home, Cleveland, Quebec at the age of 88 years.
Beloved husband for 65 years of Myra Lovett (nee Lodge). Much loved Dad to Bonnie Griffin, (Steve) and Elizabeth Mcarthur, (Douglas). Loved grandfather to Clint (Nancy), Kimberley (Shawn) and Shane. Great-grandfather to Jessica, Tyson, Victoria, George Anthony and Domenic.
George served with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II and was a life long member of the Masonic Order.
A memorial service will take place at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Richmond, on Saturday July 27th at 2 pm. Interment at St. Andrew's Cemetery followed by a reception at the church hall.
If anyone so desires, donations in George's memory can be made to The Wales Home Foundation, 506 Route 243 North, Cleveland, Quebec, JOB 2HO and would be appreciated by the family.
Special thanks to the caring staff on Norton 3, especially Pam Brock, who assisted George on his final journey.

André LECOURS (1962-2013) André passed away following a lengthy struggle, at the age of 51. Beloved son of the late Yvette Baillargeon and the late Félicien Lecours of Waterville. Dear father of Michel (Emily) and Francis. Andre leaves to mourn his brothers Claude (Louisette), Robert (Suzanne), Yves (Cécile) and Sylvain (the late Anne) along with his nieces, nephews and dear friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. A celebration of André's life will be celebrated at 8 pm. Keeler, David
(1945-2017)
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of David Robert Keeler on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the age of 71.
Predeceased by his wife Faye McCoy. David leaves to mourn his two daughters Rebecca (Jonathan Murray) and Kimberley, his 2 grandchildren Simon and Emma and also his sister Janet. He also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service will be held at the Trinity United Church in Danville on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Followed by the interment at the Danville Protestant Cemetery.
