Nobes, Eric Jr.

Passed away accidently in Montreal QC, on July 14th 2006 at the age of 47 years. Born on March 26th 1959, Eric " Ricky " William Nobes Jr, father of Anne-Sophie Rivest-Nobes, brother of Gordon (Kimberly), Cinthia (Robert Street) and Dean, uncle of Ashley and Jacob Nobes and James Street. A family graveside service and commital of ashes will be held in Malvern Cemetery, Moulton Hill, Sherbrooke (formerly Lennoxville), on Sunday, July 30th 2006 at 4:00 p.m. Eric was a past or present member of: the Montreal tall men's club, the Montreal Legion Br. # 234, the Victory Lodge # 94, the Canadian forces Montreal sailing club and the St-Andrew's Society of Montreal. Arrangements entrusted to the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke, QC (formerly 6 Belvidere, Lennoxville), Tel: (819) 564-1750

Oakley Barlow, Agnes 'Nancy'

The family announce with great sadness, the sudden passing of Nancy Barlow (nee Oakley), at the Asbestos Hospital on Monday September 18th, 2006, at the age of 75. Wife of the late Leonard Barlow and devoted mother of Linda (Clarence Huse), Gary (Anne Gresham), Brenda (Jean-Paul Gauron), Charlene, and Dennis. Grand mother of Ronnie, Danny and Bradley Huse, Natalie and John Barlow, and Ricky, Melissa and Joey Dubé. Nancy also leaves to mourn, her 3 great grandchildren, her sisters Muriel (Merton Webb) and Stella (George Clarkson), her brothers, Donald (Sue), Howard, Lloyd (Rose), Clifford (Sandra), Johnny, and the late William Oakley along with her half sister Kim (Scott Brix), her special aunt Isabella McGowan, and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at the Dupuis Funeral Home, 148 Daniel Johnson St., Danville, (819) 564-1750 , where friends may visit on Tuedsay September 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. Funeral service will be held in the Danville-Asbestos Trinity United Church on Wednesday September 20th at 11:00AM with the Rev. Reginald Jennings officiating. Please note; the family will be at the Church to receive condolences 1 hour prior to the service. Interment in the Danville Protestant Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

O'Connor, Joan

Suddenly at her residence on July 8th, 2006, at the age of 53 years, Joan O'Connor, of East York, Ontario. Cherished wife of the late Christopher Edmondson, beloved daughter of Alice O'Connor and the late James O'Connor of Sherbrooke, Quebec. Dear sister of Terry (Thelma), Brian (Cathy), Judy and Richard (Marlene). She was pre-deceased by her sister Barbara. She also leaves her nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. A private funeral service and interment will be held at a later date. Walker Fletcher, Marion

Peacefully at the CHUS Fleurimont, on Thursday August 14, 2008 at the age of 61 yrs. Marion Ethel Walker beloved wife of the late Rodney Fletcher and dear mother of Peter (Lucie) and Laura (John). Marion was the cherished grandmother of Bobby-Germain, Stephanie, Brandon and Jacob. She will be sadly missed by her dear friend Fred Cross. She is also survived by her sisters Phyllis, Helen (Doug) and her brothers Floyd (Nancy) and Charlie (Gaetane). Morin, Paul

Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Saturday February 7th, 2009, Paul V. Morin at the age of 74. Loving husband of 48 years to Norma Lancaster, and dear father of Sheila (Dan Courville), Colleen (Philip Boersen) and Corey. Special Grandpa and Papa of Ian, Amanda, Jennifer and Andrew. Dear brother of Marion (the late Hans Jehle), Wilfred (Sylvia), Jerome (Dorothy) and Vincent (Carole). Paul also leaves to mourn his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Hugh (Jeannine), Raymond (Marjorie) and Mona-Lee (Gerald McGee), along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at the Cass Funeral Home, 295 Principale S., Richmond, QC (819) 826-2502 , where friends may visit on Monday February 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and on Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 am. A funeral mass will be held in the St-Felix de Kingsey Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11:30 am followed by the interment in the parish cemetery. Montgomery, Walter Elwyn Peacefully at the Wales Home, Richmond, Que., on Sunday January 25, 2009. Born at South Durham Quebec on March 18, 1923. Dear friend of the late Mavis Johnson (1994). Dear uncle of Larry and Donna Peat of Thorndale, Ontario and great-uncle to Donald and Brent Peat. Dear uncle of Charlene Randle-Clayton of Kincardine, Ontario. Cherished friend of Elaine and the late Gary (2008) Johnson of Montreal and their daughters Tami and Lori. Also a dear friend of Bryan and Lynda Johnson of Florida. Walter is also survived by several cousins. Predeceased by his parents Clement G. Montgomery (1954) and Margaret L. Montgomery (1952), brothers Ellis Montgomery (1980) and Arthur (Clifton) Montgomery (2001), sisters Vivian E. Peat (2006) and sister-in-law Margorie Montgomery (Healy) (1996). Walter was a lifelong employee of the C.N.R. and worked as a blacksmith in the Point St. Charles shops until his retirement - December 31, 1985. Martin, Jerome

Passed away suddenly at the C.H.U.S. Fleurimont on Sunday, January 25, 2009, at the age of 83. Cherished husband of Cécile Gélineau and loving father of : Rita (Eugène Roy), the late Renald (Hélène Morin), Francine (Fernand Brisebois), Hélène, (Marcel Dufresne), Michel (Kimberly Bronson), Johanne (Gaétan Grégoire), Guylaine (Michael Sheldon); dear grandfather of : Sylvain, Marlène, Stéphanie, Pascale, Étienne, Vincent, Francis, Vicky, Mathieu, Phillip, Amélie, Marc-Antoine, Kurt, and Chelsy. Jérôme will also be sadly missed by his ten great-grandchildren, along with his brother and sisters: Albany Martin (Anita), Jeannine (feu Roland Fortin), Angèle (feu Gérald Renaud), sister-in-law Solange (the late Fernand Martin), many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters – in-law, other relatives, and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert and sisters Claire and Adrienne. There will be visitation at the Cass Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2009, in the presence of his ashes from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Also on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service in Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 a.m.. Davidson Dillon, Florence

Passed away peacefully at the CHLSD La Sapinière East Angus on May 8th, 2016 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Dillon.Dear mother of Geraldine, Michael and Brian. Cherished grandmother of Alana (Eric L’Ecuyer).

A private family graveside service was held on May 11th, 2016 at St. Anthony’s cemetery in Lennoxville.

As a tribute to her memory, donations to the Arthritis Society (380 Saint-Antoine Street West, Suite 3280, Montreal, QC, H2Y 3X7), the Alzheimer’s Society (740 Galt Ouest, suite 112, Sherbrooke, QC, J1H 1Z3), or St. Anthony’s cemetery (c/o St-Michel Cemetery, 635 St-Michel, Sherbrooke, QC, J1E 2L2) would be greatly appreciated.

The family would like to thank the staff at La Sapinière and the CLSC Cookshire for the wonderful care she received.

Dolloff, Burton
1946 - 2016

Surrounded by his family, Mr. Burton Dolloff passed away at the CSSS Memphremagog on March 26th 2016 at the age of 69, beloved husband of Betty Williamson and son of the late Cecil Dolloff and the late Dorothy Gustin.

Other than by his wife Betty, Burt will be sadly missed by his children Phillip (Karyn), Cathy (Frank), Michael (Melissa) and Jimmy (Meghann) as well as his grandchildren Carrie, Shawn, Justin, Emma, Travis, Chad, Derek, Hailey and Zachery.

He also leaves to mourn his sister, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law as well as many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff of the CHUS hospital and especially to the staff of the palliative care unit in Magog for the excellent care given to Burt. They also wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to family and friends for their sympathies, cards, food and thoughtfulness.

As per his wishes, there will no service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 5151, boul. de l’Assomption, Montréal, Québec, H1T 4A9, would be appreciated by the family.
