Marielle Desbiens Bernais passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the CHUS Fleurimont, on Wednesday, February 3rd 2016, at the age of 72. Dear daughter of the late Eudore Desbiens and the late Julienne Isabelle.
Marielle is survived by her loving husband Alex Bernais; her cherished children Lisa (late Russell Phaneuf), Larry (Emilie Simard) and Yves; as well as her precious grandchildren: Nathaniel Phaneuf, Chelsea Phaneuf and Sarah Bernais. She will be sadly missed by her brothers, sisters, brother and sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will take place at the Cass funeral home, 545, Dufferin, Stanstead, on Thursday, February 11th, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, February 12th, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at the funeral home with Reverend Lise Kuzminska officiating. Interment will follow at the McPherson cemetery in Georgeville.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of the intensive care unit, 9th floor, for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Desbiens Bernais.

(1940-2015)
Third generation Island Brook native, pioneer of organic and bio-dynamic farming, dowser, passed onto another dimension on November 12, 2015. Beloved son of the late Eugenia Wypruk and the late Earle Dawson, brother of the late Diane Dawson. He will be greatly missed by his partner Annick Doucet, Terry Howell (Pauline Wilson), his extended family, many friends and his precious dog family. A gathering to celebrate Bobby's life will be held at Island Brook Community Center, to be determined. Donations in his memory can be made at your local no-kill animal shelter. And you can always make Bob smile by buying local and organic.
McArthur, David
McArthur, David 1949-2008 Suddenly, at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Montreal, on November 30th, 2008 at fifty-nine years old. Beloved son, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Gifted Montreal artist for over forty years. His loss is felt deeply by family and friends. He will be dearly missed. We remember his independent and generous spirit always. Our loss knows no words. Hugh Wilson Mackinnon passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on November 25th, 2008, at the Grace Christian Home, Sherbrooke, QC, in his 92nd year. He was predeceased by his wife, Mirabel Page, and his companion and close friend Berdina Dunlop, as well as his sister Eleanor and niece Eileen. He leaves to mourn his sister Janet Reynolds (Arnold), his niece Clarice Beeler (Frank) of Nova Scotia, his nephews Robert Reynolds (Judy and their daughters Debbie, Kim and Stephanie), Jim Reynolds (Ursula and their daughters Christina, Kathryn, and Johanna), and nieces Grace Reynolds, and Mary Whibley (Donald and their sons Adrian and Andrew). He will also be greatly missed by Berdina's family, Tony Bissonnette and family, and other friends from Kitchener Ontario. He was very much loved by all his family and friends. The funeral will be at Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St. Sherbrooke (Lennoxville), Friday, Nov 28 at 2:00 pm., conducted by Rev. John Barry Forsyth of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at 1:00, Friday only, at the Cass Funeral Home, with interment at Reedsville Cemetery, North Hatley, and a reception to follow at the funeral Home. Passed away peacefully at the Wales Home in Richmond on Friday November 7th, 2008, Mr. Neil Mountain at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Ruth Adams, and cherished father of Adair (Barbara), Ann (Chris Wilson) and Marilyn (Mark Murphy). Special grandpa of Alex and Amber (Brian Craswell) Mountain, Jordan, Aaron, Karla, and the late Angela Wilson, and Chelsea, Pamela (Yannick Dubois), Shevon and Ryan Murphy. Neil also leaves to mourn, his great granddaughter Aleah, his brothers Alan (Marian) and Hugh (Wilma), along with his sister-in-law Margaret (the late Galen Coote), many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Passed away peacefully at the IGUS Pavilion Argyle, on Monday May 13th 2013 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Edward and her parents Myrtle and Candis Coote. Beloved mother of Gail (Doug Heath) and Gary (Johanne Pharand). Also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Mary Ann (late William), Helen (Roger), brother-in-law John (Patricia), and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at the Cass Funeral Home, 3006 College St., Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) where friends may visit on Friday May 24, 2013, 7 - 9 pm, and Saturday 1-2 pm. M. Ruth McFarlane (Cameron) It is with sadness that we annouce the passing of Marjorie Ruth McFarlane of Hatley, Quebec on April 25, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born on October 15, 1914 in Fort William, Ontario (Thunder Bay), the youngest child of John Harvey Cameron and Mary Olivia Hodge. She was predeceased by her beloved husband P. Murray McFarlane originally from Renfrew, Ontario and by her brother George of Ottawa, her sisters Jean of Cornwall and Mary of Parry Sound, Ontario. Dear mother of Marjorie of Fremont, California and Georgina of Hatley, Quebec and proud grandmother of Kevin and Todd (fiancée Dorothy) also of Fremont, She leaves to mourn her nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many dear friends including her P.E.O. Sisters. Following Ruth's wishes a simple graveside service will be held in Renfrew at a later date. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to those whose loving care and support made it possible for Ruth to remain in her own home until the end of her life. This meant so much to her. Ruth had an incredible zest for life. She simply loved people and will be remembered for her warm smile and outgoing personality. Those who knew her best will forever be inspired by her courage, steadiness and quiet dignity. She will be sorely missed.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Crotty, peacefully at the Connaught Home where he enjoyed loving care for the past six years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Jacqueline Miller: he leaves to mourn his three daughters: Susan (Francis Loomis), Judy (Jay Hackney) and Karen (Bruno Sinotte) as well as 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and dear friends. A special thank you to the amazing staff at the Connaught Home with whom he shared many a laugh, friendly teasing, and lots of winning smiles.
