EISWORTH - Rose, formerly ofDilke, SK. It is with deepest sadnessthat Rose's family announce her passing on Friday, February 1, 2002 at the age of 89 years. She passed away peacefully at the Regina General Hospital with her family at her side. Rose was predeceased by her parents Peter and Marie Thauberger; her husband Ferdinand Eisworth; infant sons Peter and Andrew; daughter Theresa; brothers Alex, Andrew and Peter Thauberger; sister Susan Huber; and sons-in-law William Jaeger and Duane Jolley. Left to cherish her memory are her children Laura Jaeger of Regina, Marie (Bud) Gemmell of Bethune, Agnes (Richard) Ackerman of Chamberlain, Ronald (Ruth) Eisworth of Penticton, Sharon (Gary) Webb of Las Vegas; grandchildren Deborah (Jean) Loiseau, Pam (Leo) Metz, Ronald (Shauna) Gemmell, Jacquie Ackerman, Patrick (Donna) Ackerman, Leanne (Jim) Carey, Carla Eisworth, Christine Webb and David Webb. Rose also leaves eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; brother John Thauberger of Toronto; and sisters Claire Woolsey and Sister Agnes Thauberger, S.S.A., both of Victoria. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Holdfast, SK, with Rev. Lester Kaufmann omi, celebrant. FOLDEN - Lois M. Folden (nee Garinger) of Regina passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2002 at the age of 78 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Lois was predeceased by: her parents, May and Trueman Garinger; her first husband, Herbert Groleau; her second husband, Robert Folden; and granddaughter, Kathryn Davidson. She is survived by: her daughter, Sharon (Wilf) Davidson of Grande Prairie AB, and their children, Denise Hamilton, Karin (Vance) Harrison, Terri (Ken) Tumack, Linda Davidson (Darren Richter), and Kristyn Davidson; her son Wayne (Susan) Groleau of Regina, and their children, Jennifer and Jason Groleau; and her brother, Lyle (Marjorie) Garinger of Regina. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Lois was born and raised on a farm in the Brooksby district where she received her elementary and high school education. After taking a secretarial course at Balfour Tech in Regina, she obtained employment as a stenographer at Naval Headquarters in Ottawa where she remained during the war years and later married. In 1945, she returned with her husband, Herbert Groleau to live in Melfort. Herbert passed away in 1956. After raising her family, Lois returned to work as a stenographer at the Melfort Region of the Department of Social Services where she retired in 1984 after 23 years of service. During that time, she remained actively involved with her union local, the Canadian Legion and the Melfort United Church. In 1978, Lois married Robert Folden who passed away in 1987 after a happy period of life together. Lois moved to Marian Chateau in Regina in 1999 to be closer to her family. She spent almost two and a half very enjoyable years at Marian and made many new and valued friends. The family would like to thank the nurses of Palliative Home Care Dr. Rasmussen; Dr. Clein and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital; and Chaplain Barbara Brown, nurses and staff of the Palliative Care Unit, William Booth Special Care Home for their kind and loving care of Lois in the later stages of her illness. The Funeral Service for Lois will be held from the Melfort United Church, Melfort, SK on Monday, February 4, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Lori Erhardt officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lois may be made to: Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina SK, S4T 1L5; or Palliative Care Unit, William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6. GROSCH - D. Mary passed away peacefully at Inglewood Care Centre on January 30th, 2002. Survived by her loving husband Duncan, son Richard, daughter Linda Toriel, daughter in law Donna and grandchildren David Grosch, Jeffrey (Maya) Grosch, Jean-Michel Toriel, Nathalie Toriel and two great-grandchildren, Cora and Dylan Grosch. Brothers George (Joan) Higgins, Jack (Maxine) Higgins, Doug (Lil) Higgins. Predeceased by brother Don (Ethel) Higgins, son-in-law Paul Toriel. Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 4th, 2002 at Capilano View Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave., West Vancouver. BROSHKO - GLORIA (nee Rushinko) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 7, 2002 after battling cancer. Gloria was predeceased by her father Mike Rushinko and brother-in-law John Kennedy. Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband Peter of 35 years; children: Cheryl (Matthew) Tedla and Shaun Peter; mother Mary Rushinko; brothers: Ed (Rose), Roman (Alice) of Ituna; sisters: Wanda Calvert of California, Irene Kreps, Diana (Ed) Holowenko, Evelyn Kennedy of Regina and Elaine (Art) Shiry of Ontario; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and neighbours. Gloria was born on June 10, 1944 in Ituna, SK. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Gloria was a home-body who enjoyed gardening and especially her flower garden, and she was also an avid curling and football fan. Gloria and Peter worked together in their numerous businesses, and recently, Gloria held a contract with the Leader Post. PRAYERS will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Monday, February 11, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street with Mgr. Luzny officiating.
