ELL - John Peter: May 13th, 1935 - June 17th, 2002. John Ell passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 17, 2002 at the age of 67 in his home with his wife at his side. John was born in Kronau where he lived until moving to Regina in 1952. He married Doreen Kattler October 10th, 1955. Together they had four children. John worked for Scott National for 38 years before retiring in 1990. John is survived by his wife Doreen, sons Vern (Laurie), Randy (Sylvia), daughter Terry Iwanicha (Rod), son Grant (Anita), grandchildren Carrie (Brad), Kristy (Geoff), Joanne, John, Karla, Jacyln, Justin, Christina and Janie, and great-grandchildren, Corbin and Sydney. John is also survived by his brother Frank (Ann), and sisters Anna Marie Schmidt, and Emma Papp and sister-in-laws Kay, Irene, Theresa, Jeanette, Laura and Florence and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Katherine, father John, brothers Ignace, Peter, Paul, Adam, Joe and Andy, and sisters Sister Ann Ell, Rose Dielschneider and Veronica Schaeffer, brothers-in-law Meinard Schmidt, Ben Dieschneider, Fred Schaeffer, Joe Folk and Mike Papp. Those who knew John will never forget him. He had many interests and every one of them involved his family or close friends. In earlier years John could be found coaching baseball and attending all his children's activities. As time passed he enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandchildren, working on family projects, refinishing furniture, making wine and attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events. He always had time for everyone. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Peter's parish. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 20, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Peter R.C. Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina with Rev. Ken Koep the celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Sask., 2360 - 2nd Ave., Regina, SK, S4R 1A6 or a charity of your choice.

GAMBLE - GRACE GAMBLE of Moose Jaw, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the age of 90 years. Grace was born October 1, 1911 in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and was a special birthday present to her mother, who was born on the same day and hour, 2:30 a.m. She was raised in Parkbeg and attended Parkbeg Village and Kelly Schools. Grace married James Allan Gamble on October 17, 1940 and resided on the farm until Allan's ill health forced them to move to Moose Jaw. Allan passed away on February 2, 1977. Grace was involved in many community organizations such as raising funds for the hospitals, Red Shield, Red Cross, and Church Building funds. She was a member of the St. Andrew's United Church Grace Unit and Coffee Ladies Group. Grace enjoyed looking after her garden, her home and enjoyed doing hand work and going for long walks. Predeceased by her parents, step-brother, Charles, two brothers, James and William and one sister, Violet. Grace leaves to mourn one sister, Margaret Draper of Bow Island, Alberta; two sisters-in-law: Peggy Fry of Regina and Pat Fry of Calgary and many nieces, nephews and cousins. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, JUNE 20, 2002 AT 3:30 P.M. AT ST. ANDREW'S UNITED CHURCH, 60 ATHABASCA ST. E., MOOSE JAW. Reverend Peter J. Calhoun will officiate. HALKO, Wayne Dean - On Saturday, June 15, 2002, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Wayne at the age of 33 years passed away peacefully with his family at his side. Wayne was predeceased by his brother, William, his grandparents Mary and Dan Halko, and his grandfather John Essar. Wayne's strength was inspirational, and his love was unconditional.
