BANKS - On Thursday, November 21, 2002, F. "Brian" Banks, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his wife, Phyllis in 1997; his parents, Wilbur and Maud Banks; and his brother, Stan. Survived by his two daughters, Maureen and Karen, both of Regina; sister Kathleen Kelly of Winnipeg, MB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue with Rev. John Haas officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sk., 2360 - 2nd Ave., Regina S4R 1A6. BAYNE - Ivan James Bayne, beloved husband of Esther for sixty years passed away Friday, November 22, 2002 at the age of 87. Ivan will be fondly remembered by his son, Gerald (Lynne) - Regina: grandson, Erin (Heather) and special great-granddaughter, Hannah - Sherwood Park, AB.; grandson, Ryan (Robin); sister, Jean (Doug) Getson - Saanichton, B.C.; brother Ron, (Marion) Bayne - Red Deer, AB.; sister-in-law, Cecilia Barwell - Moose Jaw; brother-in-law, Keith (Blanche) Barwell - Kelowna, B.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ivan's Life will be held at Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave. N.W., on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Moose Jaw Cemetery. Memorials to Minto United Church, or the charity of choice, would be appreciated. BENTSON - Philip Gordon Bentson, late of Oxbow, passed away at Regina, on Tuesday, November 19 at the age of 62 years. Survived by his wife, Roberta, Oxbow; sons, Larry (Leah), Nisku, AB; Philip (Kim), Edmonton; Darren (Lynn), Edmonton; Doyle, Saskatoon; daughters, Laurie Bentson (Neil Mick), Wetaskiwin, AB; Cindy Bentson, Saskatoon; sister, Ruby Bentson, Wetaskiwin; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Florence Bentson; also his brothers, Robert and Stanley. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2002 from St. Paul's United Church, Oxbow with Heather Sandilands and Sandy Dalziel officiating. DAHL, Leo "Tiny" - Born May 2, 1920. Passed away peacefully on November 19, 2002. Predeceased by his parents, Edward & Johanna, two brothers, Jennings & Ken. Leo is survived by his wife, Dorothy (USA); son, L. Dahl (Leanne); one granddaughter, Leah; stepdaughter, Pam (Lyle); and other extended family members in the USA; three caring sisters, Evelyn, Lola, Violet and younger brother Don and all their immediate family members, several nieces & nephews in Alberta, BC, Bengough, SK and USA. Leo lived his life to the fullest, loved to talk and social gatherings. A dual citizen, Tiny was a war veteran and earned his automotive certificate in the army. Leo is a long time member of Saskatchewan Trucking Association. He moved buildings, owned and operated his own auto shop, farmed, custom combined in his own town of Bengough, SK and USA until the mid eighties. He retired and moved to the USA pursuing his life long interest and love of restoring antique trucks in his hobby shop in North Dakota. Remembered and loved always by your family. A Memorial Service will be held in Knox United Church, Bengough, Sask. on Monday, November 25, at 2:00 p.m. Interment and social gathering for family and friends to follow. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Chapel and Crematorium Services. GIBSON - Barry Earl formerly of Indian Head passed away Nov. 21/02 at the age of 69 yrs. at Ottawa Civic Hospital with his family at his bedside. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Lindsay Gibson. He is survived by his loving family, partner Marina Dubelt, daughters Christine (Grant) Mills AB, Meika Dubelt Ottawa, sons Gary, Glen, Wayne & Lorne (Kim) Philpott all of Ottawa, Grandchildren Adriane, Matthew Mills, Abbie, Chad Philpott and Ashley Dubelt; Sisters Shirley (Roman) Cianflone, Saskatoon, Audrey (Allan) Breit Regina, brother George (Francis) Regina; nephew Derrick (Brenda) Gibson (Brooke & Hanna great nieces) Amarillo Tx.; nieces Janice Gibson Regina, Jo-elle & Erin Breit Calgary; sister-in-laws Maxine (Charlie) Stewart, Linda Hillier; brother-in-laws Edward, Donald, Lloyd & Alec Harris all of Newfoundland; special friend of the family Linda Poloso, Ottawa. Barry and Marina were very active in their community and the Presbyterian Church. Barry was a carpenter, cook or whatever needed doing he could and would do. Barry had a golden heart and was loved by family and friends alike. He was always there to listen or lend a helping hand to young, old, rich or poor. The door to their home was always open to family and friends, the coffee pot on and an apple pie on the counter. He was a great cook and loved to put on a feast especially at Christmas, special holidays and events. His family was his life and his love. Marina was his soul-mate. He adored his grandchildren and they him. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. INGMAN - HELVI MARIA. Mother, 88, left us suddenly on November 20 to be with the Lord. A former resident of Finland, Ironwood MI, and Sudbury, as well as Regina, she is sadly missed by friends and family: Ossi Ensio Ingman and his family, and Auli Irmeli Ingman, both of Regina; and her cousin, Taimi (Jerry) Jolette, Kalamazoo, MI. A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Speers Funeral Chapel in Regina.

GEREIN, Anton (Tony) Joseph,

GEREIN - Anton (Tony) Joseph - formerly of Montmartre, passed away on November 19, 2002 at the age of 82. Husband ofMadeline (nee Vanaelst) for 51 years; father to James (Virginia Tomczak), Tim (Darlene), and Sharon (Jason Matity); and grandfather to Corey and Natalie Tomczak and to Aaron and Kayla Gerein, all ofRegina. Tony is also survived by his sisters, Mary Schaumberger of Goodsoil, SK; Barbara Prizeman of Sundrie, AB; Theresa McFadden, and Rose (Frank) Fuchs ofRegina, SK. He was predeceased by his parents, Baltzar and Matilda and siblings, Peter, Kay and Eleanor. Tony was born near Mutrie, Saskatchewan, on February 29, 1920. He took over the family farm southeast of Montmartre after his father's accidental death in 1946. Farming was what kept Tony young. For years after he and Madeline retired and moved to Regina in 1986, you could find Tony on the farm, helping out and giving "advice" to his son, Tim and daughter-in-law, Darlene, who had taken over the farming operations. AMemorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 23, 2002, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, on 2026 Winnipeg St., Regina. A private interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Baillie, the staff of William Booth Care Home, Pasqua Hospital Ward 4A and Sunset Extendicare, who watched over Tony during the final months of his life. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends wishing to make donations in Tony's memory can do so to the Farmers with Disabilities Program of the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, 825McDonald St., Regina, SK, S4N 2X5 or to the charity of their choice. GULKA - ANN (nee Baytaluke) passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at the age of 88 years. Ann is predeceased by her parents Maksym and Ksenia; two brothers, Michael and John. Ann is survived by her three children: daughters Pauline (Donald) Edwards of Brawley, CA., Marie Gulka of South Hamton, Ont, son John Gulka of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren: Kathleen (Mark) Kellogg of Austin, TX., Gwen Edwards of San Diego, CA., Sara (Jessie) Korella of Phoenix, AZ., Christopher Gulka of Calgary, AB; three great grandchildren: Landon Kellogg, Lisa-Ann Kellogg and Jace Korella; one sister Mary Milos of Regina, Sk. and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann was born in Canora, SK. on June 3, 1914 and homesteaded in Poplar Bluff, SK. and later moved to Regina and was a cook for many years in various restaurants and also a nursing home. DIVINE LITURGY will be held at St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto St. on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 10:00 a.m with Rt. Rv. Msgr. R. Luzney officiating. Interment will follow at Regina Memorial Gardens Cemetery. PRAYERS will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 8:00 p.m. Donations in Ann's name may be made to St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, S4P 1M5.
