BERNATH - It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mary Angeline Bernath on Sunday, October 27, 2002 at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was 84 years of age. Predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1985, she leaves to cherish her memory her son Brian (Darlene) Bernath of Yorkton and grandson Brian Michael; daughter Carol (Ron) Tulik of Fort Qu'Appelle and grandchildren Terri (Bill) Weist and great grandson Preston; Michelle (Larry) Beaulieu and great grandsons Austin and Brandon; grandson Cal Tulik and friend Shaunna; Sisters Katie Batt of High Level, AB, Helen (John) Kowbel of Melville and Josie Czakler of Yorkton; sisters-in-law, Lizzie Bernath of Esterhazy, Loretta Golec of Esterhazy, Bertha (Julius) Hudak of North Burnaby BC and Doris Bancarz of Melville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 8:00pm at St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00am from St. Gerard's Church with Rev. Father Basil Chomos officiating. Interment to follow in the Yorkton City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home, Yorkton (1-888-783-7552).

HOLLINGER - Elizabeth (nee Hack) passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2002. She was born on March 28, 1918 to Mathias and Katherine (nee Temple) Hack. She was predeceased by her loving husband Philip in 1995; daughter Brenda in infancy in 1958; brothers Fred in infancy, Albert, Alfred and Joe; sister Katherine Leier; brother-in-law Emil Hauser and sister-in-law Betty Hack. She leaves to mourn one son Delbert (Linda); daughters Florine (Harry) Campion and Iona (Richard) Niebergall, nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Dorthea (Herman) Hauser and Christine Hauser; brothers Ferdinand (Doreen) Hack, Vern (Dorthy) Hack; brother-in-law Otto (Gertie) Leier and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. in the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 935 McCarthy Blvd., Regina, SK with Pastor Cliff Kentel, officiating. Interment will follow at the Melville Municipal Cemetery, Melville, SK. KVISLE, LEONARD ALLEN,

KVISLE - LEONARD ALLEN passed away quietly on Sunday, October 27, 2002 at the age of 73 years. Leonard was predeceased by his parents Andreas and Margit. He is survived by his wife Verna, sons Greg and Reid, daughter Carla and six grandchildren: Margit, Kurt, Chelsee, Chance, Kyle and Kayla; one brother Ervin. Leonard was born and grew up on the family farm south of Wilcox. He attended Luther Collage and then resided in the Wilcox area all of his life. Leonard loved farming and was very involved in the community. He served on the local school, and recreation boards. Leonard was involved with Boy Scouts and coaching minor hockey teams, and went on to managed Notre Dame AAA Hockey Teams. He was a friendly, kind and gentle man to all who knew him. Leonard was a loving son, brother, a father beyond compare and a grandfather beyond belief. He was a devoted husband to Verna whom he deeply cherished. Leonard will be truly missed by all who knew him. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Ave. with Rev. Dennis Hendrickson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in Leonard's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, Sask., S4P 2R3. Arrangements are entrusted to Regina Funeral Home (789-8850).

LUTZ, Eleanor,

LUTZ - Eleanor passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at the Sunset Extendicare at the age of 98 years. Eleanor is survived by her grandsons, Randy and Jack Laughlin; granddaughter, June (Don) Rae and great-grandchildren, James and Stephanie Rae. She was predeceased by her husband Jake and her daughter Edna Laughlin. Eleanor spent many years working at Lake Louise Chateau and the Teeota Nursing Home after the passing of her husband in 1973. At the age of 88 she decided to retire and lived exclusively at the Teeota until 1995 when she moved to Regina to live with her daughter Edna. A small private gathering will be held to commemorate her passing. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and personnel at Sunset Extendicare for their kind and attentive care during Eleanor's last months. ALBERTSON - Dr. David Beaton; born December 7, 1916 in Chungking, West China, of missionary parents; passed away peacefully in Victoria surrounded by family on October 22, 2002. Predeceased by his parents, one sibling in childhood and an infant grandson, and survived by his loving wife Audrey, his five children - Barbara (Peter); Graham (Sarah); Pat; Paul and Nancy (Jack), their mother Elizabeth Gray, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by his only sister Dr. Mary Albertson Saul of Toronto, sisters-in-law Velma Walker of Victoria and Marge Lee of Calgary and fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Throughout his long and fascinating life, David left a mark on countless numbers of people, as a WWII Air Force medical officer, as a pioneer in neurosurgery and as a caring and endlessly committed physician. He retired to Victoria in 1976 to practice acupuncture until 1995. He will be greatly missed by his family and legions of friends. Audrey and the family would like to express heartfelt thanks to all those who made David's life so much richer in the last six years. His life was celebrated with a graveside service on Friday, Oct. 25 at Veterans Cemetery on Colville Road in Esquimalt. In lieu of flowers, donations in David's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

KERR - Joan Rosemary (Ryder), a long time resident of Regina, died on Friday, October 25, 2002. Predeceased by her husband Allan; sisters Betty Denike, Margery Foster and Kathleen Gutwin. She is survived by her loving daughter Allison (Jim Francis); and granddaughter Gillian of Burlington, Ontario; a niece, Joan Polanski; and two nephews, Kelvin and Douglas Denike. Joan was born October 15, 1916 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She attended Public and High School in Swift Current and later business school in Moose Jaw. For many years she worked in Regina as a stenographer in the Supervisor's Department of the Royal Bank. Always an avid sports enthusiast, she was an accomplished skater, skier, swimmer and sailor. She particularly enjoyed her summers at Lumsden Beach. Throughout her life Joan was selfless in giving of her time. She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind and thoughtful friend and neighbour, and an active community volunteer. She will be remembered for her warmth and humour, her indomitable spirit and for the gift of her love which enriched the lives of so many. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Kinmara Care Home for their compassionate care and steadfast support. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Paul's Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre Street with the Very Rev. James D. Merrett officiating.
