AISAICAN - Paul Noel, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at the age of 62 years. He was predeceased by his parents Riel and Adeline; brothers Henry and Elmer; sisters Maryanne Cutler, Carol Ford, Mary Jane Sparvier, and Marcella Sparvier; and daughter Samantha Aisaican. Paul is survived by his wife Shirley Aisaican; daughters Victoria (Darwin) MacDonald, Angie Aisaican, and Clarice; son Commadore; ten grandchildren and one great grandson; brothers Bill (Shirley) Sparvier of Lethbridge, Ambrose Sparvier, Garry (Glenda) Shail, and Ron Kopf; sisters Cecile Richardson and Lorraine (Bob) Fummerton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 7, 2003 at 7:00 PM in the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship, 3131 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK. The Wake will follow prayers in the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM in the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship, with cremation to follow. Arrangements are in the care of LEE FUNERAL HOME 757-8645

AST - On Tuesday, March 4, 2003, Mabel Ast beloved wife of Edward Ast, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., age 81 years. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Fort Qu'Appelle, Sask., on Friday March 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Elizabeth Bryce officiating with interment of cremated remains in Lakeview Cemetery. Mabel was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Ella Barton, four brothers in law and two sisters in law; Fred Misfeldt, Ross Wood, Ralph Ast, Frank and Marie Ast and Anne and John Johnson. Besides her loving husband Edward Mabel is survived by two sons: Ward (Marie) Ast and their family Jayme, Bryan and Kevin, Regina, James (Debbie) Ast, Regina and their son Joel, Calgary, one brother Richard (Margaret) Barton, Fort Qu'Appelle, and four sisters, Vera (Fred) Striker, Agazzi, B.C., Jane Misfeldt, Chilliwack, B.C., Olive Wood, Grimsby, Ont., Ceola (Robert) Clayton, Silverdale Washington, U.S.A. one sister in law Irene Ast, Fort Qu'Appelle also her nieces and nephews. Mabel was born at home on a farm in the Eskdale School District, south of Leross in November 1921. She attended Eskdale School and Kelliher High School, then went to Normal School in Regina. Her teaching career spanned 32 years, most of which were spent in Lipton, and the last few years in Dysart. With her positive attitude and special teaching skills she touched the lives of many students throughout the years. In July of 1952 she married Edward Ast and had two sons. She helped with the family farm and always had a beautiful house, yard and garden. She enjoyed traveling, socializing and especially playing bridge. Her grandchildren were very special to her and she enjoyed their frequent visits. In the retirement years she and Eddie moved to Fort Qu'Appelle where she enjoyed socializing with many friends. Mabel's warm, supportive and encouraging nature will always be remembered by family and friends. The Ast family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Peter and Margaret Saunders for helping us through this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1470 Wascana Street, Regina, Sask. S4T 4J5 may be tokens of remembrance.

CULBERT - On Monday, March 3, 2003 Kurtis Culbert of Regina, SK. passed away at the age of 16 years. Kurt leaves to remember, his loving family, Mom and Dad, Shelley & Jack Culbert; older brother, Jesse and little sister, Alana; grandparents, Delores Culbert and Bill and Ruby Wirll as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kurt was predeceased by his grandfather, Melvin Culbert. A Celebration of Kurt's life will be held on Friday, March 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James' United Church, 4506 Sherwood Dr., Regina, SK., with Pastor Sharon Davis officiating. An evening Prayer Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003 at St. James' United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kurt's memory may be made to a charity of choice. ENDO, ELSIE KYOKO,

ENDO - ELSIE KYOKO ENDO passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina on Monday, March 3, 2003. She joined our Lord after a years struggle with Lymphoma Cancer. Born October 10, 1933 in Moose Jaw, Elsie attended Victoria Public School and graduated from Central Collegiate and Moose Jaw Technical High School (secretarial course). Elsie worked at B.C. Fruit Store in Moose Jaw before moving to Regina to take up employment with Rain and Hail Insurance Services Inc. in 1951 and returned to Moose Jaw upon her retirement in 1994. Upon her return to Moose Jaw, Elsie gave her spare time to St. John's Anglican Church Altar Guild even during the year she was so ill. Elsie was a caring, loving daughter, sister and friend with thoughts always of others. Elsie will be dearly missed. Predeceased by her father, George Chohie, Elsie is survived by her mother Tomie, brother, George N., sisters: Doreen Fumiko Greenaway (Tod) - Nelson, B.C., Marian T. Knight - Dallas, Texas, Joyce M. - Toronto, Ont., nephews, nieces and grand-nieces living in British Columbia as well as family relations in Japan. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Anglican Church, Moose Jaw. Reverend Derek Nicholls will officiate. Memorialization will take place at a later date. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make a donation, in memory of Elsie, to the Canadian Cancer Society Research, or to Pasqua Hospital Cancer Ward, Regina. Our many thanks to Dr. M.A. Tysdal - Moose Jaw, Dr. L.K. Moore of Regina and his staff and the caring nurses at Pasqua Hospital Cancer Ward - Regina. LOCHORE - Arthur Joseph "Bob" Lochore, beloved husband of Violet, passed away peacefully surrounded in love by his family on February 28, 2003 at the age of 90 years. Born in Penticton, B.C. in 1913, Bob lived and worked in his father's orchard and for Greyhound Lines of Canada until he was transferred by Greyhound to Regina in 1959 with his wife Ruby. He was the dedicated and much-loved father of his two daughters Judy (Darrel) and Joanne (Ted); "Grampy" to Carrie (Lyle), Dawna (Dan), Denise, Dianna (Aubrey), Krista (Chris) and to his great-grandchildren Jayden, Kelli, Chase and Evanne. He was also "Special Dad" to his step-children Marian (Cody) and Tony (Cindy) and their children, Ryan, Jeremy, Celia, Melanie and Mariah. Bob was predeceased by his parents (1936), his wife of 48 years Ruby (1983), his brother Norville (1983), and his sister Gertrude (1936). Bob worked for Greyhound as a driver, trainer and as western District Superintendent for 45 years. He was a member of the King Hiram Lodge and the Wa-Wa Shrine Temple for more than 35 years. He was a person of honesty and integrity, a man who valued his family above all. He led his life as an example of kindness, love and generosity. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at Whitmore Park United Church, 336 Durham Drive, Regina on Monday, March 3, 2003 at 2:00 with Rev. Ken Powers officiating. Reception to follow. Arrangements in care of Speers Funeral Home.
