Robert “Bob” Farmer passed away with his family by his side on Monday, September 17, 2007 at the age of 76 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Christine and his brother Ken.
Bob is survived by his wife Marj, of 48 years; children Joanne (Al) and Neil (Patti); grandsons Joel and Justin Buisson, Jake and Andrew Farmer; as well as extended family and friends.
Bob enjoyed many pursuits including curling, tai chi, reading and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed traveling and sharing many wonderful vacations with Marj and their family and friends.
Until recently, Bob enjoyed good health and the family would like to thank Dr. Elliott, the medical professionals and care givers at Regina General Hospital, Pasqua Hospital, Pioneer Village and Prairie Lily Care Home for their care and compassion.

Mrs. Gladys Janet Marcelin
September 11, 1922 - September 15, 2007
Gladys Janet (nee Walls) Marcelin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the age of 85 years at the Herb Bassett Nursing Home. She was born on September 11, 1922 on the family farm south of Weyburn to Howard and Ivy (nee Lemon) Walls. Gladys is loved and will be remembered by her brother Ron (Evelyn) Walls of Prince Albert; her sister Maisie (Dave) Beattie of Sorrento, BC; special nieces Val (Karl) Panas and her children Greg and Nicole (and her daughter Nadia) and Heather Walls; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews; her special friends Fred, Judy and Jordan, Hope. She was predeceased by her husband Tony in 1993; her parents Howard and Ivy Walls; her brothers Neil in 1933 and Albert in 1980. Gladys joined the Royal Canadian Airforce Women’s Division in World War II, where she rebuilt aircraft and packed parachutes. She had her parachute wings and had to jump regularly with her own packs. She was one of the original 47 women veterans who founded the Maple Leaf Unit # 287, affiliated with the ANAVETS on October 21, 1946. Gladys remained an active and proud member until her illness. Gladys loved to travel, whether it was to visit family and friends or to see the world. She had traveled all over Canada, the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Australia and New Zealand. When she became ill, she was till trying to arrange a trip to Africa. Although Gladys never had any children of her own, she was Auntie-Gramma to many. She was game for anything from a game of cribbage, to a hot air balloon ride, to lugging down a mountainside. She was full of life, had a great sense of humour, always had a joke to tell and greatly treasured her family and friends. Gladys greatly enjoyed the friendship of her “coffee group” while she lived at Eamer Court in Saskatoon. Gladys was a generous lady who touched the lives of many. Auntie we love you and miss you. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 21 from River Park Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Rick Martin will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon, SK at a later date. It is the family’s request that anyone wishing to place memorials may do so to the Herb Bassett Nursing Home.

Mr Robert "Bob" Bryshun
April 22, 1933 - September 18, 2007
On Tuesday, September 18, 2007 our husband and father, Bob Bryshun, passed away quietly with his family by his side at the age of 74. Bob was born on April 22, 1933 in Battleford, SK one of nine children.
He was predeceased by his father Michael in 1965, his mother Josephine in 2003, his sister Patsy in 1938, his brothers Mike in 2005 and Jim in 2002.
Family and friends wishing to pay their last respects may do so from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 from the Prince Albert Alliance Church, 2777 – 6 Avenue West. Pastor Ron Goertzen will officiate. Bob traveled around the province with his parents until they permanently settled in Prince Albert in 1944. He learned the values of hard work, a deep love of nature and the belief of a strong complete family unit. These beliefs defined Bob’s life as he grew up and earned him the respect of his fellow workers and friends and formed the basis of our family life. Bob married Deanna Nykiforuk in 1959 and they had five children Curtis (Theresa), Doug (Tanda), Robbie (Keiko) and Tamara (Murray). They lost their first daughter Mary Anne as an infant in 1962. Bob is survived by his loving, devoted wife Deanna, his children, as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his siblings Kay Gittens, Millie Nykiforuk, Mary Klughart, Jack (Pat) Bryshun and Judy (Ron) Misfeldt. Bob’s hearty laugh, strong opinions, words of wisdom and anecdotes for all occasions will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. It is the family’s request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment will take place in the Steep Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Phyllis Mary Mulvenna
July 5, 1950 - September 18, 2007
Phyllis M. Mulvenna was born on July 5, 1950 in Cabri, SK and went to be with her Lord and Saviour on September 18, 2007 in Regina, SK.
She was predeceased by her father Paul Bue.
Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Rick; son David (Karen); daughter Anne Marie (Jesse); mother Ursula Bue; sister Pauline; brother Norman; as well as extended family and friends.
Phyllis grew up in Cabri, SK. She earned an education degree from the University of Regina and later taught for the Nipawin and Regina Public Schools. She enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Phyllis was very active in her church; participating on many committees and teaching Sunday school.
Phyllis wants to thank her family, friends, colleagues, medical staff and acquaintances for all the support, prayers and love shown to her and her family throughout her journey with cancer.
A service to celebrate and honour Phyllis’ life will be held at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, 3018 Doan Drive, Regina, SK on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
To celebrate her love of education and reading, in lieu of flowers, donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to the Regina Public Library, P.O. Box 2311, Regina, SK S4P 3Z5.

Elizabeth Gordon
February 9, 1915 - September 17, 2007
Gordon - with sadness the Gordon Family announces the peaceful passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Gordon on Monday, September 17th, 2007.
Beth was born February 9, 1915 in Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan.
She started school at Crescent Valley and finished her high school education at Lucky Lake. After working at many jobs in the community Beth took additional classes to obtain office work with Agriculture Canada.
She eventually turned this job into a career as a manager, working many years in Saskatoon before transferring to Regina where she retired.
Throughout Beth’s 92 years she kept pace with the immense changes in the world reading her daily newspaper, Macleans magazine and watching CBC right up to the end.
She kept very actively involved in her community and her church and felt an enduring attachment to the United Church.
She worked tirelessly volunteering and contributing to charities and community groups including the Pasqua Hospital, Rebecca Lodge, IODE and many others.
She truly enjoyed her life and among her many past times she enjoyed golfing, curling, cards (bridge), and knitting for many church fundraisers.
Her family fondly remembers the joy and beauty she brought to her life through her flower gardens.
She enjoyed music particularly classical and played the piano.
Throughout her long life she traveled and continued to explore the world until her final overseas trip to Spain at age 88.
She visited many countries and returned to her parent’s homeland of Scotland several times.
Beth was predeceased by her parents Frank and Elizabeth (nee Bruce) Gordon, stepfather Alex Brown and brother Frank Gordon.
Surviving Beth is her sister Mary Gordon of Wakaw, sister-in-law Irene Gordon of Outlook, niece Shirley (Gary) Wright of Lucky Lake, nephew Glenn Gordon (Elaine) of Saskatoon, and several great & great-great nieces and nephews also of Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan.
She is also survived by many special friends especially Vladimir, Mavis and Stefan Holub of Saanichton, B.C.
During her many years Beth lived productively, gave generously, enjoyed her independence, and viewed life as an adventure.
There will be a Graveside Service held in Saskatoon at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (east on 8th street, turn right before the railway crossing) at 1:30 pm on Friday September 21, 2007.
Please meet at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Her honorary pallbearers are all those who shared Beth’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any of the following: Cancer Society (Saskatchewan Division), Arthritis Association (Saskatchewan Division), Saskatchewan Abilities Council and Knox United Church of Regina, Saskatchewan.
