EDMONDSON – The passing of Mrs. Ruth Edmondson , age 83 years of Saskatoon, SK., occurred on Monday, October 1st, 2007 at St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK. She is survived by one daughter Silvia (Wayne) Yeaton, Calgary, AB.; grandchildren Karin (Ed) Pickett, Carola Slade, A.J. Wilke; great grandchildren Lyndsay and Jacqueline; and brother-in-law Ray Blancard. She was predeceased by her most recent husband Albert Edmondson; daughter Ruth Blancard; Ruth Blancard’s father; infant son and other family members in Germany. Public viewing will be held on Friday, October 5th, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before railway crossing) with a private burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation ( 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8). Arrangements are entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME.
Mrs. Jane Spence Wylie Beattie
July 13, 1916 - September 30, 2007
Jane Spence Wylie Beattie (Jean) (nee Allan) late of Lloydminster, Alberta and formerly of Regina, Saskatchewan went to her heavenly home on September 30, 2007 at the age 91 years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Percy; her parents Peter and Jane Allan; brother Thomas Allan and his wife Gertrude; brother-in-law Norman Beattie and his wife Minnie.
Jean leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life her son Earl (Sandra) Beattie of Calgary; his children Leanne and Janet (Jack) and their children Nathan and Cara; daughter Lorna (Bob) Lachambre of Estevan; her children Bryan, Lorelei (Randy) and their children Brayden, Abigail and Jack, and Rob (Catherine) and their children Bobby, Kailey, and Paige; daughter Donna (Glenn) Moore of Lloydminster.
She will be missed by everyone who knew her, including her special friend Shalay. Jean will be fondly remembered as a dedicated and caring Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Jean was known for her zest for life. She stood up for what she believed in and enjoyed debates on numerous topics, such as politics and current events. Jean was proud of her Saskatchewan roots and Scottish heritage. We are thankful for all the years we had and all the good times we shared. We pray that when she left us she knew how much we cared. She was patient in her suffering and when no hand could give ease, God looked down – felt her pain – and gave her peace.
A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3.

Mrs. Debbie Evashenko
May 10, 1952 - October 3, 2007
On Wednesday October 3, 2007, Debbie Evashenko (nee Wells) of Regina passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
Debbie leaves to mourn her passing daughter Chelsea (Ryan) Kotylak; granddaughter Cadence; one sister Shirley (Peter) Kreke; nephew Blair (Candis) Kreke; great nephew Brayden; and niece April Kreke; one brother Blaine (Bernadette) Wells; nieces Deanna (Tyronne) Tyndell and great niece Yasmin; niece Paige and nephews Galen and Andre; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close and faithful friends.
She was predeceased by husband Adam Evashenko and parents Harry and Lena Wells.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Carter (RGH), Dr. Chappelle, Palliative Home Care and the staff at 3A Palliative for the excellent and loving care she received over the last two years.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK.

Mary was born on April 15, 1924 and passed away peacefully at the Southgate Good Samaritan Senior residence in Edmonton, AB on Tuesday, October 2, 2007.
She was predeceased by her husband Arnold Siebert and daughter Shirley Birbilis. Mary is survived by her two daughters Carol Shearer and Beverley (Brian) Murray; son-in-law Frank Birbilis; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mr. Michael Peel
June 20, 1959 - October 7, 2007
Michael Peel passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2007.
He was predeceased by his grandparents; father Elmer; stepfather Keith Miller and brother in infancy Louie.
Mike is survived by his mother Agnes; brothers Stephen (Geralyn), David (Sheila), Patrick (Yvonne), Kenney (Tonya); sisters Stephany, Beverley, Barbara, and Bonnie. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews and close friend Richard.
No funeral service will be held at his request. Interment will take place at a later date.

Mr. James "Jim" Edward Buchan
July 31, 1928 - October 11, 2007
On October 11, 2007, Mr. Jim Buchan of Regina passed away at the age of 79 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Connie and Paul; grandchildren Steven and Cheryl and their mother Susan; special friend Kathie Shanks, all of Regina, brother Ernie of Edmonton, AB; sister Vi of Saskatoon, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Jim was predeceased by his wife Beth; son David; grandson Shane and siblings Hilda, Betty, Kay, Norm, Ada and his twin sister Marjie.
Relationships were easily developed and maintained for Jim because of his good nature and quick wit. He was a gifted artist who had the ability to create all different types of art. His patience and attention to detail resulted in very unique and personal expressions. He was proud to display his breathtaking works and they were appreciated by all who saw them.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff in Emergency and the Palliative Care Unit, Pasqua Hospital.
A SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK with interment to follow the lunch in the family plot at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the MS Society.

SLYWKA, Muriel, Iris – Mom died peacefully with her family by her side at Saskatoon City Hospital on October 3rd, 2007 at the age of 82. She is survived by her husband, Michael, and their children Audrey, Ron, Elaine, Verne, Donna and families. She was predeceased by their son Gordon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan (279 3rd Ave. North, Saskatoon, Sask., S7K 2H8). At Mom’s request, there will be no funeral.
