Kenneth Sifert
July 23, 1929 - October 17, 2007

SIFERT, Kenneth Albert “Ken” Sifert, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 17th, 2007. Ken is survived by his wife Annette; sons Ken (Donna) and their children Monika and Madeleine, James (Pam) their daughter Bria; daughter Shelley (Craig) Smith and their children Anna and Aidan; sister Marian Sexsmith-Damn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ken is also survived by his extended family, daughters Laurie Tucker, Jane Sifert and son Gordon Sifert all of Red Deer, Alberta. He was predeceased by sisters Winnie Sifert, Margaret McNab, Doris Crawford; brothers Jack, Harold, Ron and Fred. Ken was born June 23rd, 1929 in Wolseley, Saskatchewan. He loved his country serving in Korea with The Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20th, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, turn right before the railway crossing). A private family interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer Society (1405 Faulkner Crescent, Saskatoon, SK). Arrangements are entrusted to Ken Scheirich, HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME.

Mrs Elizabeth (Betty) Clark
October 11, 1922 - October 20, 2007

CLARK, Elizabeth (Betty)- On October 20, 2007, Mrs. Betty Clark of Regina passed away at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her sons Jim (Diane) and Tim; three grandchildren Doug (Shannon), Kevin (Jenn) and Elizabeth, five great grandchildren Rikki-Leigh, Kenny, Colton, Landen and Liam, two brothers Bernard (Marion) and Erwin (Edna) Wentland, four sisters Hertha Dilworth, Linda (Ken) Thackeray, Lilly (Marcel) Fontaine and Dorothy (Gilles) Belliveau, sister in law Laura Wentland, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, infant son Richard, brother Gus and brother in law Len Dilworth. Betty enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and golf. She loved bingo and playing cards, especially cribbage. A CELEBRATION OF BETTY'S LIFE will be held on Friday October 26, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East in Regina, with interment to follow in Regina Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined, please make donations in her honor to the Regina Lutheran Home, 1925 5th Avenue N., Regina SK S4R 7W1. Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mira Banerjee
December 22, 1933 - October 18, 2007

BANERJEE, MIRA - At the age of 73 Mrs. Mira Banerjee of Regina SK peacefully passed away at the Regina General Hospital with her family and friends at her side. Predeceased by her husband Dr Rashmohan Banerjee. She is survived by her loving children Rahul (Dianne) of Regina, Bashab (Debra) of Caronport and Ena (Jeff Daviduk) of Vancouver. Mrs. Banerjee was a proud grandmother of 12: Anthony, Andrew, Beau, Brenden, Melissa, Krissie, Britten, Breighdy, Keighlee, Mykah, Sean and Shawleena. She was born and raised in Rishra, West Bengal, India. She received her Degree in Economics and also set numerous records in Track and Field, in India. Mrs. Banerjee married Dr. Banerjee and moved to England. Rahul and Bashab were born in England. She then returned to India where Ena was born. The Banerjee family then moved to Yorkton, Sask in 1973 where Mrs. Banerjee pursued her passion for music and art. Known for the outstanding brushwork in her art, her works have been compared to that of the "Group of Seven" Canadian Artists. Mrs. Banerjee came from a prestigious background and became a renowned Classical East Indian singer and musician, performing in various parts of the world. Mrs. Banerjee has left us with beautiful memories and will be dearly missed. A special thank you to Dr. Mustafa and all his associates at the Cardiac Care Unit. A HINDU CEREMONY will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK. Donations can be made to Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 2360 - 2nd Avenue, Regina, SK S4R 1A6. Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home.

Mr. Fredrick Richard Maxemiuk
March 28, 1946 - October 20, 2007

Fred passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the age of 61 years in his home in Prince Albert. He was born in Yorkton and raised on a farm near Sheho, SK. The family moved to Prince Albert in 1956. Fred attended Connaught and Riverside Schools. He enjoyed playing football, hockey and especially baseball. He started in the plumbing trade and then worked for Sask Energy for over 25 years. Fred is survived by his loving family: his four children Devon (Shelley) [Avery], Roslyn (Joseph) [Taylor, Hannah and Chase], Lane, and Natalie [Halee]; his mother Anne; his sister Violet; his brother David (Marion) [Austin]; and the mother of his children Karen. He was predeceased by his father Michael George Maxemiuk. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25 from River Park Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Rick Martin will officiate. It is the family’s request that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment will take place at South Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Don Moriarty – Funeral Director.

Mr. Robert "Rob" William Baker
August 23, 1953 - October 22, 2007

Robert “Rob” William Baker passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007 at the age of 54 years after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his granddaughters, Nevaeh and Angelina Lanigan and his father Walter.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Maureen; children Krista (Shane) Lanigan and Jared; mother Joyce Baker; grandmother Lillian Burgess; siblings Walter (Pat), Rocky (Linda), Candy (Jim) Street, Sandie (Doug) Jelinski, Jill Baker (Jack Dunn) and Shelley Baker; sister-in-law Lorna Pearce (Wayne Fudge); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Rob worked as a graphic artist at the Regina Leader Post for 34 years where he made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed trips with his family as well as fishing, camping and attending sporting events. Rob loved landscaping, refereeing minor hockey and coaching in a wide range of sports. He was a strong, admirable, loyal man who was a role model and mentor to those whose lives he touched. Rob was a loving, dedicated husband and father who was “always there for his family.” He had an enormous amount of energy and loved to be “on the go.” Rob will be missed by all who knew him.
A CELEBRATION OF ROB’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. with Cliff Geiger officiating.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Rob’s memory may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 7T1.

Mrs. Vivian Yvonne Clifton
March 1, 1928 - October 20, 2007

Vivian passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2007.
She was predeceased by her parents William and Ada Clifton; sisters Elsie, Dorothy, Gert, Nellie, Margaret and Phyllis and brothers Arthur and George.
Vivian is survived by her brother Richard (Cam); brother-in-law Ferd Walter; 3 generations of many loving nieces and nephews.
Vivian was born in Regina, SK on March 1, 1928. She was employed with the Province of Saskatchewan in the Department of Health from October 24, 1936 to December 31, 1981.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home.
