ROMAN HOJENSKI

MR. ROMAN HOJENSKI, age 74 years, passed away in Moose Jaw on January 29, 2002. Roman was born in Poland and came to Canada in 1947 where he opened his own business, Fashion Tailors. He often worked seven days a week but did find time to enjoy the Air Show each year. Special memories of travel began when Roman would travel to Germany once a year to visit friends. Roman will be sadly missed by his daughters, Darcia and Debbie, their mother, Donna, his grandchildren, Matthew and Courtney and his son-in-law, Dan. In keeping with the families wishes, a private service will be held. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. For those so wishing, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. In living memory of Roman, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

MARGARET HOLMQUIST (WELLS)

Margaret L. Holmquist (Wells) of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully in hospital with her children at her side on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at the age of 87 years. Born October 5, 1914 at Regina, Sask., Margo married Kitch Wells and moved from Regina to Moose Jaw where they ran Execlo Photo for many years. Margo’s loves of her life were her family, music, dancing, and traveling. She and Kitch wintered in Mesa, Arizona for many years and enjoyed the cottage at Buffalo Pound Lake during the summers. Margo is predeceased by her husband, Kitch in 1982. Returning to Mesa she met John Holmquist and they had 13 happy years of marriage. Margo is survived by her son, Bob Wells and his wife, Laura and their children, Chad and Keri of Moose Jaw; daughter, Jan Atkinson and her husband, Brian and their children, David and Jennifer of Regina; and also her loyal grandpuppies, K.C. and Max. Following cremation, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Margaret, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

GWEN BECK

Gwen Ann Beck (nee: Smith) of Moose Jaw, passed away on Wednesday February 14th, 2001 at the age of 49 years. Gwen was born August 23rd, 1951. She was an avid painter, enjoyed cross-stitching, crochet, and supporting all her families sporting events. Her grandson, Jordan James (J.J.) was the light and joy of her life and meant the world to her. She was a long time employee of the Golden Nugget Casino in Moose Jaw. Gwen was predeceased by her father, Jim Smith. Beloved mother of Paula (Todd) Hooper, and their children: Jordan and Damian; Pam (Cory Yamniuk); and Amanda (Tyler Rocheleau). She is also survived by her mother, Marie Smith of Mortlach; brothers and sisters: Ron (Flo); Dale (Jan); Diana (John); Dwight (Tracey); Earl (Bev); Rod (Tammie); Joanna (Todd); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Gwen’s Life will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Monday February 19th, 2001 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Cremation with Memorialization at Prairie Memorial Columbarium at a later date. Memorials to the Renal Unit, Regina General Hospital 1440 - 14th Avenue, Regina, S4P 0W5, would be appreciated

PAULINE FEIFFER

MRS. PAULINE FEIFFER was born on September 23, 1909 in Lepine and passed into eternal life January 29, 2002 in Moose Jaw at the age of 92 years. Pauline was born and raised in Lepine, Sask.. On June 8, 1929 she married Nicholas Feiffer and farmed at Bayard, Saskatchewan until 1954. They then retired to Moose Jaw and Pauline was employed at Canada Packers and Dairy Queen. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting and embroidering. She also enjoyed cooking traditional Ukraine dishes. Pauline belonged to the Greek Orthodox Church in Moose Jaw. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Feiffer, six brothers and one sister. She leaves to mourn one son, Victor (Eva) Feiffer of Medicine Hat, AB, one daughter, Marlene Savoie of Moose Jaw, one step-daughter, Tena Knecht of Calgary, AB, two step-sons, Harry Feiffer of Moose Jaw and Mike Feiffer of Regina, thirteen grand- children, Gloria, Jacky, Wendy, Ken, Linda, Violet, Lyle, Thane, Selene, Sonia, Paulette, Victor and Christine, thirty-one great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alice and Nettie. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Prayer Service will be held Friday, February 1, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Father S. Balevich will officiate. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Pauline may do so with a donation to Extendicare Family Support Group or to the Greek Orthodox Church.

MINA VAN MOORLEHEM

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of MINA IRENE VAN MOORLEHEM in the early hours of Monday, August 5, 2002 in the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. Mina was born April 8, 1922 in Keeler, Saskatchewan and on her eighteenth birthday married Gordon. Together they have farmed in the Keeler district for over 62 years. A true partner in farming Mina trucked grain, combined at harvest as well as tended the large family garden and all its associated canning, freezing and baking. An avid quilter and knitter, Mina left many warm memories with children and grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, George and Catherine Hawes; daughter, Dawn Van Moorlehem; brothers: Harvey, Gordon and Bill Hawes and sisters: Lillian Hamill and Elsie Chrestensen. Mina will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Gordon; daughters: Marlyn (Marvin) Toderan, Muriel (Jim) Rolfe and son, Larry (Gail) Van Moorlehem; grandchildren: Darren, Mark, Patricia and Garner Toderan; Sandra Shannon and Brenda Rolfe; Lindsay and Casey Van Moorlehem; Jennifer Palmer and Robin Larocque; twelve great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers are gratefully declined. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 9, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Pastor John Duerksen will officiate. Private family interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Those so wishing may make a donation in Mina’s memory to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 521, Moose Jaw, S6H 4P2 or to a charity of one’s choice. In living memory of Mina, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

LINDA HUTCHINSON

It is with great sadness we wish to inform you of the passing of our youngest daughter, LINDA MAE HUTCHINSON, born February 20, 1962, passed away January 18, 2002. Linda was born in Moose Jaw, attended Prince Arthur Public School and graduated from Peacock High School. Her love of animals took her to Kelsey Institute in Saskatoon where she studied to be a Vet Tech. Linda started work as a Vet Tech at Poundmaker Feeders in Lanigan, Saskatchewan. At the time of her passing she was working for Diamond Butte Cattle Co., Diamond City, Alberta, where she had been employed for thirteen years. Linda enjoyed her work and the fellowship of her co-workers. She was never without a dog. Her border collie was her friend and companion working with her every day. Throughout her life she enjoyed trail rides; riding horses with friends at a very young age and showing ponies in and around Moose Jaw. Her friends and family were very special to her as were her animals. Linda was predeceased by her grandparents. She leaves to mourn her passing her mother and father, Shirley and Grant Hutchinson of Moose Jaw; brother, David (Sandi) of Moose Jaw; sister, Diana (Les) Woodrow of Medicine Hat; brother, Michael of Edmonton; sister, Bonnie (Jim) Johnson of Moose Jaw; five nephews: David (Jill) Johnson and great-nephew, Jordan; Kevin Johnson; Duston Woodrow; Nathan (Kara) Hutchinson and great niece, Emmy; Jason Hutchinson; two nieces: Ali and Tia Hutchinson; grandmother, Ethellynn Stratford; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins: Lorne, Garry and all the rest of the staff at the feedlot; as well as her many friends, especially those around Diamond City Picture Butte and Shaunessy, Alberta; special friend, Sandy also her special friend and companion “Nan”. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Tim Ellis will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening ( 7-9p.m. ) at the Funeral Home. In keeping with Linda’s request, cremation will follow and memorialization will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658, Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 7K7 would be appreciated. In living memory of Linda, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

Age 44 years of Calder, Saskatchewan passed away suddenly Sunday, March 9, 2014 at her residence, Calder, Saskatchewan.
