LEANNE CAROL RICHARDSON, age 16, of Moose Jaw, tragically left us on Wednesday, August 14, 2002. Predeceased by her father, Allan, Leanne will be sadly missed by her mom, Bev, sister, Melissa, her grandparents, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Leanne’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main Street North, Moose Jaw. Reverend Allan Buchanan and Joe Dueck will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation in Leanne’s memory to Joe’s Place Youth Centre, 214 Fairford Street West, Moose Jaw, S6H 1V6. ALBERT "TED" DAVIS
Mr. Albert Edward “Ted” Davis: Our Daddy went to be with Jesus 7:25pm, October 29, 2002. He was born on July 2, 1908 at Tilney, Sask. and farmed all his life. He married Gertrude Banman in 1930, and they celebrated 72 years of married life. Predeceased by brother, Fred Davis; and a child in infancy, Ted is survived by his wife, Gertrude; children: Betty (Ed) Armbruster; Dorothy (Harry) Henning; Linda (Doug) Welsh; eight grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Grosenick; one brother, Dennis Davis; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at 1:30 pm. Son-in-law, Rev. Ed Armbruster will officiate, assisted Rev. Sid Chalmers. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to the Gideon Bible Society, would be appreciated. In living memory of Ted, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. He will be greatly missed by each one of us. He went to be with the Lord to the land that is fairer than day.
ANNIE ZAMORNAK
ANNIE ZAMORNAK of Moose Jaw, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at the age of 89 years. Born May 6, 1913 at Stonehenge, Saskatchewan, Annie married William (Bill) Zamornak on October 24, 1937. During Bill’s working years with CP Rail, they lived in Assiniboia, Ermine, Bexhill, Vantage and Swift Current, retiring to Moose Jaw. Annie’s hobbies included crocheting, knitting and playing cards “like nobody’s business". She was predeceased by her husband, Bill as well as her nine brothers and sisters, Annie being the last surviving member of her family. Annie is survived by several nieces and nephews and is dearly loved and sorely missed by her adopted families, the Simons and the Whites, as well as numerous friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 15, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. A Prayer Service will be held Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Father S. Balevich will preside. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Foundation for Moose Jaw Union Hospital, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3 would be gratefully accepted. JEANETTE MACZA
The passing of Jeanette Macza of Saskatoon, age 55 years, occurred on Monday September 3, 2001. Jeanette is survived by her husband, Alex; three sons: Donovan and his children, Cody and Echo; MacKenzie and Jen – all of Saskatoon; Myles (Mandy) and their daughters, Harley and Jasmine – Penhold, Alta.; mother, Vera Jones – Moose Jaw; brother, Don (Jan) – Moose Jaw; sister, Colleen (Frank) Riley – Regina; sister, Pam (Greg) Holbrook – Winnipeg; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Irwin Jones in 1995; sister, Terry Lee in 1976; and step-grandson, Damien this past summer. Jeanette will be missed by family and friends, especially by her grandchildren who could always make her smile. Funeral Services will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at 1:30 pm. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Interment will follow at the family plot, Rosedale Cemetery. VIOLET CRAMPTON
Mrs.Violet Flora Crampton, age 94 years, passed away peacefully at Avonlea Villa, Avonlea, Sask. on Sunday, October 27, 2002. She was born in Owen Sound, Ontario where she eventually met and married George Crampton of Sask. in 1927. She resided in Woodrow, Sask. from 1927 until 1975, then to Lafleche until 1982 when she moved to Moose Jaw. Violet has resided at Avonlea Villa since 2000. Before moving to Sask. in 1927, Violet was employed as a Dental Assistant for George’s cousin “Bud” in Owen Sound. During their years together, George and Violet enjoyed many winters in their second home in Texas. She developed many wonderful friendships there that lasted the rest of her life. One of her fondest memories was taking the C.G.I.T. girls camping and acting as a role model for youth. She also spent countless hours helping with “Cradle Roll” welcoming the new babies into the United Church at Woodrow. Violet and her daughter-in-law, Florence would grow a garden of flowers specifically for this one special day. Violet was a homemaker, raising her only son on the Crampton family farm. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren, who lived across the garden path on the farm. In later years, her great-grandchildren became as much of a joy. Violet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active member in the Order of the Eastern Star, Winabel Homemakers, U.C.W., church choirs, and the Friendship Circle at the First Baptist Church of Moose Jaw. Predeceased by her parents, brothers, sister, and her loving husband, George in 1987, she is survived by her only son, Jim (Florence); grandchildren: Ross Crampton (Maxine)(Lisa); Susan Gillett (Doug)(Kurt, Trish), Joanne Crampton (Madison), and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday, November 1, 2002 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Steven MacCuaig will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Violet’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Avonlea Villa and to Dr. Wigmore for their care and kindness. BARBARA ALEXANDER
BARBARA ALEXANDER (nee LORENZ) of Moose Jaw, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2001 in local hospital after a short illness. Born at Raymore, Saskatchewan on November 9, 1914, she married Frank Alexander on January 19, 1932. The couple resided in Regina, Saskatchewan until 1939 then moved to Eyebrow, Saskatchewan, where they were in business and farmed until 1959. They then moved to Moose Jaw. They were blessed with five children. Barbara was a loving Mother and Grandmother and enjoyed nothing more than having her family around her. She was never too busy to listen or to offer help. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank in 1987, her daughter Gladys and brother Frank. Barbara is survived by one daughter Irene (Bob); three sons: Ron (Vivian), Gerald (Jessie), Ken (Tina) as well as numerous grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Thursday, February 8, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.
