MICHAEL FEIFFER, passed away suddenly at Pasqua Hospital in Regina on Saturday, September 7, 2002. Predeceased by his parents, Nicholaus and Mary Feiffer, Michael is survived by his daughter, Violet Gray Owen of Edmonton and son Lyle (Bev) Feiffer of Mossbank; four grandsons: Clayton, Cory, Chad and Mike; nine great-grandchildren, sister, Tina Knecht of Calgary, brother, Harold Feiffer of Moose Jaw, sister, Marlene Savoie of Moose Jaw, brother, Victor Feiffer of Medicine Hat as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Thursday, September 12, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Memorialization will take place at the family plot, Sunset Cemetery at a later time. Memorials for the Canadian Paraplegic Association, #3 – 3012 Louise Street, Saskatoon, Sask., S7J 3L8 would be appreciated. In living memory of Michael, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. LYNN JONES
On Friday, November 15, 2002, Lynn L.Jones, beloved wife of Barry C. Jones of Moose Jaw, passed away at the age of 54 years. Lynn courageously fought lung cancer for nearly seven years. Her courage and steadfastness in the face of her disease is an inspiration to her family. Lynn is predeceased by an infant sister, Debra and her mother, Maxine Krecsy. Besides her husband, Barry, Lynn is survived by her three children and two grandchildren: daughter, Sharleen (Jason) Jones and their child, Brendon – Moose Jaw; son, Evan Jones – Moose Jaw; and step-son, Dean (Jennifer) Jones and their child, Jasmine; father, Gerry Krecsy; brothers: Mark (Margo) Krecsy, Doug (Pat) Krecsy, Ward (Sue) Krecsy, Max (Shelley) Krecsy, Mitchell (Joan) Krecsy; and sister, Paula (Terry) Kostiuk; also several nieces, nephews and their children; and many cousins and friends. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 2:00 pm, by Father Gerry Bauche. Cremation, with interment at Rosedale Cemetery. Evening Prayer Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday November 19, 2002 at 8:00 pm. If friends so desire, contributions to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic, 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, S4T 1A5, may be tokens of remembrance. ADELARD BRIN
Brin, Adelard: It is with deep sorrow that Adelard’s family announces his passing on Friday, July 6, 2001, after a short illness. He is sadly missed by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Kathleen; daughters: Debra and her son, Sheldon; Brenda (Lyle) and her son, Cory; sons: Dale (Linda) and their children: Rachelle, Scott, Julia, and Cathy; Joe (Wendy) and their son, Logan. Also surviving are his sister, Cecile Gaucher; brothers, Alfred; Leonard (Anne); and Edgar (Sandra) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles-Emile and Rosilda (Desnoyers) Brin; sister, Simone Wirges; and brothers: O’Neil, Merle, Archie, Eugene, Ovide, Lawrence, Alphonse, and Hubert. Adelard was educated at Coderre before enlisting in the Canadian Army and serving in Europe in World War II with the Signal Corps. After repatriation he pursued what became a lifetime passion for farming and livestock. Adelard will be fondly remembered by all who knew him for his sense of humour and his love for socializing. He enjoyed a good game of crib or scrabble with whoever was up to the challenge. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family and his special dog, Coco. Following cremation, a Service of Remembrance will be held at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Tuesday July 10, 2001 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Ian Payne will officiate. Royal Canadian Legion Funeral Rites will be conducted by Rosco Steele, Moose Jaw Branch #59. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Saskatchewan Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation, would be appreciated. CLAIRE ANDERSON
CLAIRE LEE ANDERSON passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 29, 2002, at his farm near Keeler, Sask. Born October 21, 1933, in the Keeler district, Claire spent most of his life farming in the area, taking pride in his crops and his cattle. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. He had a passion for baseball and hockey, in his early years as a player, and most recently as a spectator and fan for his grandchildren. Claire is predeceased by his parents, Guy and Olive; step-mother, Eva; and granddaughter, Avery. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Donna; children and grandchildren: Jackie (Tom) Jukes, Guy, Patrick and Sam; Patricia (Terry) Baiton, Morgan and Beau; Tim (Shelley), and Zakary; Lonnie (Kathy), Derek, Garet, Lee and Stephanie; Laurie; Desiree; and Sandy, Chelsey, Chay, Amee, and Bailey; brothers: Lynn (Mary); and Bill; sister, Gayle; and many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at the Alliance Church, Saturday, February 2, 2002 at 1:30 pm. Reverend John Carley will officiate. NORMAN LOWE
NORMAN REGINALD LOWE, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2001 at Providence Place. Norman was born on March 19, 1918 and grew up on a farm in the Baildon district south of Moose Jaw. His early passion was baseball and played on local teams for many years. In 1947 he married Frances Talbot and started a farm, both endeavors were successful and prospered. Norman took civic duties seriously, the highlights being that from 1947 to 1959 he held positions of Councilor and Reeve for the local municipality. Through the 1960’s and 1970’s he served as delegate to the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool developing a strong cooperative belief. He and Frances moved to Moose Jaw in 1974 where they enjoyed semi-retirement among friends and family. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Hulda and wife, Frances. Norman will be fondly remembered by son, Reg; grandchildren, Tonya, Mark and Erica; brother, Ben (Jean); sister, Margaret as well as numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, 124 – 1st Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw with Reverend Derek F. Nicholls officiating. Memorialization will take place in Sunset Cemetery. Memorials for Providence Place, 100-2nd Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw, Sask., S6H 1B8 would be appreciated. JOAN MORGAN
JOAN KATHLEEN MORGAN passed away peacefully Sunday, March 24, 2002 in Moose Jaw with her loving family by her side. Joan was born on the Isle of Wight, England on February 5, 1925. She married Leslie Morgan on September 26, 1946, moving to Canada in 1952 settling briefly in Winnipeg, then to Great Falls, Manitoba where they spent the rest of their married life. Upon Les’ passing in 1979, Joan moved back to Winnipeg and then to Moose Jaw in 1999. She was an inspiration to and will be sadly missed by her son, Glenn (Margaret) and their children: Cora and Myles Morgan of Winnipeg, Linda (Paul) Beesley and their children Jeff (Robbie) Beesley and Jana (Ben) Capili – all of Moose Jaw, Neil (Anne) Morgan and their daughters, Melissa and Jamie of Great Falls, Manitoba and her youngest son, Clive Morgan of Vancouver. Mum’s greatest love was her family: time spent at the cottages, traveling, gardening and knitting. Her home was always an open door and her delicious cooking and baking will not be forgotten by her family and many friends. Joan was a life long volunteer and gave freely of her time to the 4-H Club, Women’s Institute, Legion Auxiliary, U.C.W., church activities and the Rebekah Lodge, both in Winnipeg and Moose Jaw. Following cremation, A Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at Minto United Church, 1076 – 7th Ave. N.W., Moose Jaw on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend John Carley officiating. Memorialization will take place at a later date at the Pine Falls Cemetery, north of Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society of Canada, 265 Yorkland Blvd., Suite #300, Toronto, Ontario, M2J 1S5.
