Gordon Alm passed away peacefully on Sunday January 23, 2011 at Extendicare Nursing Home. Gordon was born on August 1, 1927 to Ole and Marie Alm, and grew up on the farm at Viceroy where he farmed for many years. He was predeceased by his parents. Gordon is survived by two sisters, Helen (Norman) Neff, and Myrtle; brother Walter (Joyce); nieces Barbara, Karen, and Renee; and nephews Greg, Gary and Blair. Gordon was a very generous person, contributing to many charities. He played in the Viceroy Jubilee Band. He also loved to hunt, travel, read and fish. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurses for the excellent care Gordon received during his stay at Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, and Extendicare in Moose Jaw. The Funeral Service will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday January 29, 2011 at 4:00 pm. Reverend Bob Langdon will officiate. Interment will take place at the Una Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer Association, #301 – 2550 12th Ave., Regina, S4P 3X1, would be appreciated. GEORGE EBEN WILSON
George, born June 24, 1925, Moose Jaw, SK passed away May 27, 2011, Moose Jaw, SK. He leaves to mourn his wife Lorraine of 55 years; daughters Diane Wilson and Kim Plett; grandchildren Curt Huenison, Erin (Chad) Armbruster; great-grandchildren Grant, Geo and Elsa Armbruster. He is also survived by sister Edith Olive, several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship in his memory. The tea will be held at the W. J. Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw on Saturday, June 25, 2011 from 1:30p.m. – 3:30p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined; memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated. JOE NOEL KLYNE
Joe Noel Klyne, passed away suddenly on January 9, 2011 at the age of 42. He was predeceased by his son, Alex, mother Betty Klyne (Conners), his father Sonny Klyne, brothers Reno and Monte LaRocque, and niece Kristen LaRocque. Joe is survived by his wife Corinne and son Riley; brothers Marvin Klyne, Mark (Mary) LaRocque, Telfer LaRocque, and sisters Yuanita (Jason) Morhart, and Bonnie (Doug) Schmirler; nieces and nephews: Zachary, Teagan, and Skyla; Kyle, Evan, Joshua, Nile, and Holly; David and Mathew; Michael, Cody and Jackie; his special “boys” Buddy, Bohgi, and Meathead; and numerous family and friends. Joe passed away peacefully at home in his sleep. A Celebration of Joe’s life will be held at the Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main St. N., Moose Jaw, on Friday January 14, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Doug Schmirler will officiate. Memorialization will follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sask. CHARLES N. DUKE
Charles Nelson Duke, born at Dummer, SK on February 26, 1918, passed away at Providence Place on January 12, 2009. Predeceased by his parents George and Margaret Duke, first wife Audrey, second wife Muriel, brothers Pete, Fred and Norman Duke, Charlie is survived by daughter Charlotte, sister Ella (Elwood) Eldstrom, sisters-in-law, Edith, Mary and Doris Duke, four stepchildren, as well as five nieces and one nephew. At his request, there will be no funeral service. Memorialization in the Veteran section at Rosedale Cemetery. In living memory of Charlie, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. RUBY MAY PELTIER
Ruby May Peltier passed away peacefully on December 31, 2010 at the age of 89. Ruby Seale was born at Swift Current, Saskatchewan on July 20, 1921 and was the eldest of 5 girls. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Lucien, and one sister, Ida. Ruby is survived by her children John (Denise), Grant (Patty), and Gayle, sisters Ethel, Myrtle and Dorothy, grandchildren Eric, Jackie, lain, Renee, Tara, Greg, Kim, Michael, Giselle, Julie and 13 great grandchildren, and special family friend Gilles Landry. Ruby is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Ruby was a teacher for many years. She taught at schools in Courval and Coderre, and also at Lindale and Vanier Collegiate in Moose Jaw. She was a long time member of Minto United Church, The Moose Jaw Pottery Club and a much respected member of The Moose Jaw Art Guild. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Minto United Church. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. DAVID HOUSE D.V.M. (July 26, 1923 – March 16, 2010) (Flying Officer, R.C.A.F. Aircrew Overseas 1942-1945) (Veterinarian in West Hamilton for many years). Dearly beloved son of the late Philip W. (1971) and Hilda M. House (1957). Also predeceased by one brother Peter W. (1941). Formerly of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, David is survived by one brother Harry and his wife Elsie of Moose Jaw, nieces, nephews and their families of Moose Jaw, Regina, Zehner and Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place in Ancaster, Ontario. A memorial service will be held in Moose Jaw and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be forwarded to your favorite charity if desired.

OLIVE MARIE BROOKES
Olive Marie Brookes passed away at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current on March 16, 2011 at the age of 76. “Marie” was born December 21, 1934 in Vancouver, BC. She is predeceased by her husband Ray and is survived by her six children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Burnaby, BC at a later date. In living memory of Marie, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by Prairie Memorial Funeral Home.
ANNIE HANNAN
Annie Ilene Hannan (Lario) passed away quietly on Thursday, December 2, 2010 in her 91st year. She was born March 15, 1919 near Willmar, SK. She married Lawrence Russell Hannan on April 14, 1938. She was the second youngest of thirteen children. Annie was predeceased by her parents William and Emma Lario, eight brothers, four sisters, two infant children, her loving husband Lawrence in 1982 and her daughter-in-law Gail (Garth) Hannan in 1999. Annie resided at Capilano Court since 2008. Annie enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, camping, cooking, sewing, canning and house renovating. She is survived by her children Marilyn (Robert) Peterson of Mortlach, SK, Garth Hannan of Bethune, SK, Marlene (Laurie) Wuschke of Mossbank, SK, Grant (Barb) Hannan of Nanaimo, BC, Russell (Shirley) Hannan of Saskatoon, SK; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Annie’s wishes cremation with a Private Family Memorialization will take place at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date.
