Marjorie May English of Moose Jaw, formerly of the Hearne and Briercrest districts, passed away on February 26, 2008 at the age of 82 years. She is predeceased by her parents Timothy and Tillie Quigley, and husband Bob. She is survived by her daughter Bev (Dan) Noble, granddaughter Crystal (Wayne) Sylvestre; grandson Murray (Alana) Noble; sister Marian (Hank) Doering of Regina; four nieces and one nephew and their families. Following May’s wishes there will be no services. Cremation will take place with a private family interment at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658, Moose Jaw, S6H 7K7, would be appreciated. In living memory of May, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
VICTOR JOHNSON
It is with great sadness that the family of Victor Lamont Johnson announces his sudden passing on August 28, 2007. Victor was born March 7, 1965 in Birtle, Manitoba. He was devoted to his two beautiful daughters whom he doted on. Victor loved to curl and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He was employed for many years with the Royal Bank and created many lasting relationships with his co-workers and clients alike. He was predeceased by his younger sister Signe in 1984, and his father-in-law, Edgar Aikens in 1999. He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife of 13 years, Dee Dee and his beloved daughters Darien and Laina; his parents Wayne and June Johnson – Denare Beach, SK; mother-in-law Melva Aikens; sisters: Debbie (Jim), Sandy (Charlie); brothers Kelly (Pam), David (Cheryl); brothers-in-law Terry (Fran), Kelly (Wanda); sister-in-law Maureen (Don); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Victor’s life will be held at the Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main St. N., on Friday August 31, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Sask. Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, S4R 1A6, would be appreciated. PHYLLIS DOMMER
PHYLLIS CATHERINE DOMMER (Paulson) passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on October 20, 2006, at the age of 76. Phyllis was born July 21, 1930 in Vanguard, Saskatchewan. She moved to Moose Jaw in 1946 and attended Peacock High School. After graduating she worked at Imperial Building Supplies and SaskTel. In 1951 Phyllis married Gerald Dommer and in 1959 she left the workforce and devoted her time to be a mom. She gave birth to Danette in June 1959 who passed away December 1959. Darcy was born in 1962 and Sonja in 1966. Throughout her life she was involved in Kinettes and the Royal Purple. Phyllis will be deeply missed as a loving wife, mom, sister and friend. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her children: Darcy (Gloria) and Sonja (Maggie); grandchildren: Shelby, Colton, Christina and Christopher; her sisters: Delia Busse and Alice (Dave) Guenther; sisters-in-law: Denise (Walter) Blaisdell and Linda (Dennis) Kerr. A Celebration of Phyllis’ Life will be held Saturday, October 28 at 2p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, Moose Jaw. Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate. Interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis’ memory to the Saskatchewan Heart & Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave., Regina, S4R 1A6. GLEN HEEBNER
It is with deepest sadness that the family of Glen Richard Heebner announce his sudden passing on Thursday, October 9, 2003. Glen was born in Regina on April 26, 1963 to parents Art and Donna Heebner. During his childhood, he lived in Regina, North Battleford, and Moose Jaw where he attended Palliser Heights and Central Collegiate. After graduating from Electronics Engineering Technology at S.I.A.S.T. in 1984, he moved to Saskatoon for work at Develcon and later at the National Research Council. He married his high school sweetheart, Charlaine Budd in 1985. Glen was a kind, generous and loving husband. Together they had three beautiful daughters: Samantha (1991), Kayla (1992), and Kelsey (1995). Glen was a devoted father and he had a special way with each one of his girls. His family was the light and love of his life. Glen and his family moved back to Moose Jaw in 1996 in order that he could take employment at Saskferco. Later, he worked at Farm Credit and at CGI until his passing. Glen enjoyed playing hockey, racquetball, and had recently taken up scuba diving which he loved. He enjoyed attending all types of sporting events, especially when his children were involved. Glen was a wonderful man who touched everyone who knew him. With his easy going nature, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humour Glen made friends easily. He was a true friend who was always willing to help out. Glen was a big kid himself and his nieces, nephews and young friends were touched by him. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Glen had just had a fantastic summer vacationing with Char in Las Vegas, camping with his family and friends, and enjoyed a trip to Disneyland. We will always treasure the special memories we made. Glen will be forever in our hearts and lovingly remembered by his loving wife, Charlaine, his dear, sweet daughters, Samantha, Kayla, and Kelsey; his mother, Donna Heebner; his mother-in-law, Pauline Budd; grandmothers, Meta Ewaskui and Hertha Popescul; brother and family: Gary, Bev, Stephanie and Kevin Heebner; sister and family: Deb, Bruce, Jennifer, Cory and Lee Hagel; sisters-in-law and their families: Valerie, Kevin, Kendra, Danica, and Logan Pritchard; Darla, Craig, Nicole, Taylor, and Marlee Wutke; Alana and Jason Walz; brother-in-law and family: Ryan, Stacey, Stephanie, Jada, and Brayden Budd; and many other wonderful family members and treasured friends. Glen is predeceased by his father, Arthur Heebner; father-in-law, Grant Budd; grandparents, Henry Ewaskui, Edward Heebner, Val and Annie Milton, and Ethel Budd. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Church, 423 Main Street North, Moose Jaw, on Tuesday, October 14, 2003 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Bob McElhinney and Linda Owens will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Those wishing, may make a contribution to a Trust Fund, being set up for Glen’s daughters, c/o The Royal Bank (Mall branch), or at the Funeral Home. MARY ANTILL
MARY ELIZABETH ANTILL, age 90 years, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Antill. Mary will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family: son, Rick of Saskatoon; daughters: Pat (Albert) Strevens of Douglas, MB, Geraldine Schultz of Moose Jaw, Debra (Dan) Temple of Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Melanie, Susie, Kelly, Lorianne, Leslie, Darcy, Porter and Katelyn. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at the Sunset Cemetery on Monday, October 31, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Denise Doerksen will officiate. Those wishing to attend may meet at 1:45 p.m. in the parking lot of W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home to follow the cortege to the cemetery. EMILE PLAMONDON
Emile Plamondon of Moose Jaw, passed away on August 30, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Emile was born January 12, 1923 and raised on the family farm near St. Front, Sask. He is predeceased by his parents Philemon and Rose Anna Plamondon; two brothers, George and Andre; and two sisters, Lucienne and Bridgette. He is survived by children: Janine ( Lawrence ) Latimer – Spruce Grove, AB; Jackie Plamondon (Albert) – Stoney Plain, AB; Denis ( Shannon ) – Moose Jaw; two grandchildren, Eric and Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday September 4, 2004 in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw at 10:00 a.m. Father Alex Osei C.S.Sp will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday 7-9 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorialization will take place at St. Front, SK at a later date. JEAN-PAUL CHOLETTE
CHOLETTE, JEAN-PAUL. Born September, 1927 in Montreal, P.Q. Died February 15, 2004 at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Survived by one sister Therese Wright and one brother Romeo both of Montreal and many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many friends and acquaintances in Quebec, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and dearly loved his Creator and had great respect for His Word, the Bible. He shared with the Apostle Paul the hope that there will be “a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous” (Acts 24:15). At Jean-Paul’s request there will not be a memorial service. Au revoir and goodbye to a dear brother and dear friend. Private memorialization will take place at a later date. In living memory of Jean-Paul, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J.
