GLADYS DOREEN REID
It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved wife, mom, nanny and great-nanny is now at peace. She passed away at Extendicare Moose Jaw on Sunday, September 12, 2010 with daughter Jo-Anne at her side, and having spent the last few days with her family close beside her. Doreen was born on November 6, 1926 in Deloraine, Manitoba to Roland and Gladys Chapin. She was the second eldest of four children and grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. She met her loving husband of 64 years, Roy, in Brandon and they were married on September 14, 1946, just after Roy returned from overseas. Mom and Dad retired to a beautiful acreage on the outskirts of Saskatoon and spent 10 wonderful years there. Many happy summers were enjoyed at their cabin at Brightsand Lake.
