Maxim Sosnyk was granted his angel wings on March 7, 2010. Maxim passed away without warning at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He is survived by his loving parents, Mar′yan and Uliana; his brother, Kostya; and relatives in Ukraine. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of Holy Trinity, 919 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Orthodox Cemetery. A trust fund for the Sosnyk family has been set up at New Community Credit Union. Mrs. Dorothea (nee Bohlken) Posehn
November 5, 1925 - February 14, 2008
Dorothea M. (nee Bohlken), late of Regina, SK, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
She was predeceased by her husband David in December of 1992 and David's parents Julius and Katharina; her parents William and Hulda Bohlken; sisters-in-law Minnie Prochner and Elsie and brothers-in-law Julius Prochner, Ed and Adam.
Dorothea's memory will be cherished by her family brother Lyle (Norma) Bohlken; sons Richard (Susan) and their children Allyson (Mark) Wronowski and Cale (Sabina); Raymond and his children Jodi, Nichole (Jason Deck) and Jase; Harold (Bernie) and their children David, Michael and Matthew; Howard (Salina Gorio); daughters Carolyn (Erwin) Beitel and their children Crystal (Jerrod Mohr) and Candis (Darryl House); Cathryn and her son Drew; great grandchildren Dylan, Jaycie, Jacob, Caleb, Colby and April; as well as many other family members and friends.
A Service to Celebrate Dorothea's Life will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 4825 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1B7 on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bob Leeson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothea's memory may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or to a charity of one's choice.

Mr. Mike Pawlyshyn
August 19, 1915 - February 26, 2008
Mike passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Herb Bassett Home at the age of 92 years. He left the family farm at a young age and worked as a trucker, hauling cordwood from several northern points in Saskatchewan to Prince Albert. Then on August 31, 1947 Mike married his lifetime partner, Pauline Luciuk. Together they operated Empire Grocery at 123 River Street West, Prince Albert for 39 years. Mike leaves to mourn his wife of 60 years Pauline; his brother Adolph (Jean) Pawlyshyn; his sister Olga Semchuk; his brothers-in-law George (Stella) Luciuk, Bill (Mary) Luciuk; his sisters-in-law Mary (Fred) Cronkite, Marge Luciuk; his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Domka; his brother Walter; his sisters Mary (John) Mykecey and Jane (Frank) Pidborichynski; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Hrynuik; his brothers-in-law Harry Semchuk and John Luciuk. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 29 from River Park Memorial Chapel. The Reverend Father Michael Lomaszkiewicz will officiate. It is the family’s request that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society – 54 – 11 Street East, Prince Albert, SK, S6V 0Z9. Interment will take place at South Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Edith Palmer
December 14, 1906 - February 19, 2008
On February 19, 2008, Edith passed away peacefully at the age of 101 years. To all who knew her, Grandma was a spunky lady with a positive outlook on life. She lived on her own until two months prior to her passing. Ede was born in Cumberland, MD, USA to Richard and Emma Wilkins. The family immigrated to Rabbit Lake, SK in 1911. In 1933 Ede married Raymond Page. They farmed in the Mullingar district until moving to the village in 1943. They welcomed their first daughter Joanne in 1937 and their second daughter Arlene in 1945. Sadly, in 1946 Raymond passed away. Ede raised her daughters by herself until 1951 when she married Ernest Schneider. Ede was very pleased to welcome Ernie’s son Roger as her own. For 29 years, Ede and Ernie lived in the Rabbit Lake area. After Ernie’s passing in 1980, Ede moved to Prince Albert where she could be closer to her daughters and their families. Edith married Albert Palmer in 1989. Edith is survived by her daughters Joanne Bassingthwaite, Arlene (Bill) Wyant; her son Roger (Betty) Schneider; her sister-in-law Phylis Wilkins; her 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and her numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 3 husbands, her son-in-law Albert Bassingthwaite, her 8 sisters and 3 brothers and her parents. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
