Murray Bailey resident of Valley View Center, Moose Jaw passed away on Friday February 18, 2004 at the age of 60 years. Murray is predeceased by his father: Morris in 1986, two brothers Wilfred and Wayne. He is survived by his mother Amanda - Moose Jaw sisters: Shirley, Brenda and Gerry and a brother Barry. A service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday February 23, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Valley View Activity Center. Cremation with memorialization at Sunset cemetery at a later date. In living memory of Murray, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
LYLE WIEBE
On January 25, 2008, at the age of 47 years, Lyle lost his brief battle with cancer. Lyle is predeceased by his father Tony, mother Ann, sister Debbie and uncle Ed. He is lovingly remembered by Mary Lou, Natalie, Adam, Doug, George, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His quiet philosophical and humorous ways will be missed by us all. A Funeral Service for Lyle will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday February 1, 2008 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Lyle, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
FLORENCE CRAMPTON
Mrs. Florence Edith Crampton of Moose Jaw, aged 79 years, passed away peacefully at Moose Jaw Union Hospital on February 19, 2008. Flo was raised in Woodrow, Sask., and worked at the Post Office there while in high school, then went to the Business College in Moose Jaw. After graduating, she worked for the Anderson-Prugsley John Deere dealership in Moose Jaw before moving to Toronto where she worked for a hide and fur company, became active in the CCF, and took up skiing. She moved back to Woodrow a few years later and married Jim Crampton of Woodrow in 1955. Flo was active in the Order of the Eastern Star, the Woodrow Yola Club, and was a leader for Girl Guides in Lafleche. She also taught Sunday School in Woodrow. She enjoyed curling and was very active in her community. Flo and Jim bought a house in Moose Jaw in 1980, and lived in Moose Jaw full-time when Jim retired from farming. Predeceased by her father in 1954 and mother in 1961, Flo is survived by her husband Jim Crampton, son Ross (Maxine) Crampton, daughters Susan (Doug) Gillett and Joanne Crampton, and grandchildren Lisa Crampton, Kurt and Patricia Gillett, and Madison Crampton. The Service of Remembrance will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Friday February 22, 2008 at 3:30 pm. Reverend Denise Doerksen will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Prairie Memorial Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, donations in Flo's name to the Arthritis Society, #110 – 2550 12th Ave., Regina, S4P 3X1, would be greatly appreciated. DOROTHY LUTHER
Dorothy Luther passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 27, 2004 at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the age of 81. She was born Dorothy Alvern Campbell on February 2, 1923 at Camalachie, Saskatchewan. Her family moved to the Cardross community when Dorothy was two months old. Dorothy married Harold Luther of Cardross on July 26, 1945. They lived on the farm at Cardross until the autumn of 1974 when they moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Harold predeceased Dorothy on April 21, 1977. Dorothy is survived by her four children, Carrie Ubell and her husband, Ron, of Moose Jaw, Bill Luther and his wife, Carol, of Cardross, Dr. Frances Luther of Baltimore, Maryland and Marvin Luther and his wife, Connie of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Dorothy is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Rhonda Dressler and her husband, Rodney, of Regina, Saskatchewan, Dean Ubell and his fiancée, Aaron Ebbett, of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Carissa Neudorf and her husband, Duane, of Hague, Saskatchewan, Jeanine Fehr and her husband, Keith, of Osler, Saskatchewan, Marcelline Luther and her friend, Brandon Duncan, of Moose Jaw, Cassia Luther of Otterburne, Manitoba, Charity Krahn and her husband, Joe, of Saskatoon, Bethany Luther of Saskatoon and Melanie Luther of Saskatoon. Also surviving are six cherished great-grandchildren, Braeden, Dawson and Katelyn Dressler of Regina, Damian and Donovan Neudorf of Hague and Dylan Fehr of Osler. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, George and Mamie Campbell, her siblings and their spouses, Roy and Agnes Campbell, Anna and Gerald Sullivan, Luella and Lloyd Ward, Belle and Claude Sullivan, Bill and Ruby Campbell, Leighton Campbell, Mildred Jordison, Etta Mae Campbell, Minnie and Frank Low, and George Campbell. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Louise Neville and her brother-in-law, Fred Jordison, and his wife, Gladys. Dorothy was active in her community, teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Cardross, and distributing Avon during her transition to living in the city. She enjoyed Friendship Break and being the Power Lunch grandma at First Baptist Church in Moose Jaw. She had many friends and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and by numerous nieces and nephews who loved their “Auntie Dot”. The Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church Main and Oxford St. on Wednesday March 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Steven MacCuaig will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Power Lunch c/o First Baptist Church, Moose Jaw, which was Dorothy’s request, or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2360 – 2nd Ave. Regina, Sask. S4R 1A6. EMMA HELEN HARRIS
EMMA “HELEN” HARRIS passed away May 26, 2005 at Regina General Hospital after a long courageous struggle with numerous health problems. She was born in Elbow, Saskatchewan in 1929 then moved to Ontario in 1930. She received her education there, married John Dunseith and raised two sons: Albert and John Jr. They later divorced. Helen moved back to the Riverhurst area in 1972 to help care for her mother. There she met and later married Bert Harris and the couple lived in Riverhurst until 1992 when they moved to Regina due to poor health. She had a kidney transplant in 1998 which was very successful and gave her seven good years. She was a very loving caring person. Her family and friends meant a lot to her. Helen was a perfectionist and excellent homemaker. Predeceased by her parents, Annie and Harry Bartlett, brother, Morris; sisters: Marj and Irene and her son, Albert. Helen leaves to mourn her passing, husband of twenty-seven years, Bert, her son, John (Teresa) and their children: Eldon and Sabrina, daughter-in-law, Anna (Allen) Pease and grandchildren: John (Leah), David and Brian, one great-grandchild, Tao; brothers: Lloyd (Gwen) and Doug (Katie); sisters: Olive (Jim) Holmes, Marie (Garry) Ketchabaw as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverhurst United Church. Interment will follow at Riverhurst Cemetery. MURIEL BRENNAN
MURIEL BRENNAN of Moose Jaw, Riverhurst and formerly of Regina, passed away May 5, 2003 at the age of 65 years. Born July 10, 1937 in Maple Creek to Matthew and Naudia Armstrong, Muriel married Roy Brennan November 23, 1957 in Regina. In 1987 Muriel and Roy retired to Riverhurst Palliser Park where she became very involved in the community. Predeceased by her parents and one brother, Jim, Muriel is survived by her husband, Roy, son, Kelly (Denise) of Regina; grandsons: Stewart and Brody, granddaughter, Lynette, one brother, David (Jeanie) Armstrong of Langley, B.C. and their children Penny (Jim) Crieghton and family and Bruce (Gwen) Armstrong and family; brothers and sisters-in-law: Vern (Joan) Brown and family, Bernie (Georgina) Brennan and family. A Service of Remembrance will be held Friday, May 9, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Moose Jaw. Father Gerry Bauche will officiate. Memorialization will take place at a later date. Memorials to Pioneer Lodge Palliative Care, 1000 Albert Street, Moose Jaw, S6H 2Y2 would be appreciated. George L. Graham passed away on Sunday March 16, 2008 at Moose Jaw at the age of eighty-five years. Born April 30, 1922 at Lacombe, Alberta. Predeceased by his wife Nora (2000). Survived by a stepson: William (Bill) Riley and his wife Jan of Veteran, Alberta; grandchildren: Stephen Riley and his sons Lucus and Joshua; Deanna Kent (Danny) and their children, Stephanie and Kaytelyn; Matthew Riley (Terri Brown) and their children Cole, Liam and Abigail; Brian (Lisa) and their children Brooke and Austin; Daniel Riley (Carissa); Rachael Riley (Craig Mohr). In keeping with the wishes of George, cremation will take place with interment at Sunset Cemetery at a later date.
