DOROTHY WUSCHKE

DOROTHY ETHEL WUSCHKE (McLaren) (nee Small) passed away Tuesday evening, October 24, 2006 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born April 7, 1916 on the family farm near Mortlach, Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Ethel Small, first husband, David McLaren - 1981, second husband, Otto Wuschke - 1994; brothers: Arthur, Harry and Fred Small, and her sister, Gertrude. Left to mourn her passing are her four children: daughter, Donna (Henry) Neufeld - Saskatoon, son, David Wayne (Colleen) McLaren - Langley, BC, son, Dale (Barb) McLaren - Calgary, AB, daughter, Debbie (Walter) Ksenych - Redcliff, AB; step-daughter, Barb (Butch) Sawin - Mossbank, step-sons: Howard (Bea) Wuschke - Regina, and Don (Wendy) Wuschke - Regina, her twin sister, Rose Gusaas - Moose Jaw, brother-in-law, Doug (Eva) McLaren - Moose Jaw, sisters-in-law: Mary McLaren - Moose Jaw, Anne Schumacher - White Rock, B.C., Martha Wuschke - Richmond, B.C. and Waldine Wuschke - Cranbrook, B.C.; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, seven step-grandchildren, eleven step-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2p.m. at St. Aidan Anglican Church, 124 - First Ave. N.E., Moose Jaw. Reverend Denise Deorksen will officiate. Cremation will follow and memorialization will take place in Rosedale Cemetery Saturday, October 28, at 10 a.m. Those wishing to attend the committal may meet at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw at 9:30 a.m. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Aidan Anglican Church, Parkinson Disease Foundation, or to a charity of one's choice. In living memory of Dorothy, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

DORIS HURLBURT

Doris Lila (Germain) Hurlburt of Moose Jaw passed away surrounded by the love of her family on August 23, 2007. Mom was predeceased by her parents Mossom and Amy Germain, husband Gordon, brother Doug, as well as several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Mom leaves behind four daughters: Sue (John) Hales, Judy (Scott) Handspiker, Jean (Wayne) Kalanuk, and Carol (Bob) Connors; grandchildren: Corby, Laurie, Marc, Jeremy, Anne and Nicole; five great-grandchildren, sister Rea Macdiarmid, many sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday August 28, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Della Ferguson will officiate. A private memorialization will take place at a later date. For those so wishing, memorials to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Doris, a tree will be planted by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

DEBBIE LAKE

Debbie Darlene Lake passed away early in November 2002, near Edmonton due to tragic circumstances. She was the loving mother of Montanna, Russell, Harmony, and Braydden; cherished daughter of Myles and Mary Lake of Moose Jaw; beloved sister to Joshuwa (Mary) and Wendy (Chad). Debbie is predeceased by her grandfather, Armon and brother, Russell. She also leaves behind two nieces, one nephew, two grandmothers, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A Service of Remembrance will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Family Centre, 262 Athabasca Street East, Moose Jaw on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 1:30 pm.

SUSAN RICHARDS

It is with great sadness that the family of SUSAN PRICE RICHARDS announces she was called suddenly to the Lord on December 24, 2003. Susan was a loving, courageous, and always optimistic woman. She looked for the best in people and usually found it. Susan was born September 5, 1955 to Phyllis and Lorne Price in Moose Jaw. She was predeceased by her parents, sister-in-law, Karen Wilkening and sister, Ann Bachiu. Susan leaves to mourn her passing her husband and soul mate, David Richards; her loving sons: Scott (Trisha) Myers and Neal (Tessa) Myers; sisters: Pat Lorjé (Tom), Shari (Lyall) McQueen and Auna (Bill) Brown; brothers: John Wilkening and Bob (Jennifer) Price, brother-in-law, Bob Bachiu, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 2p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Susan’s name to the Moose Jaw Transition House, Box 1866, Moose Jaw, S6H 7N6. In living memory of Susan, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

RUTH MONTCALM

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom on November 18, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Ruth was born on June 18, 1920 in Central Butte, SK. In her adult life she lived briefly in Meaford, ON, Rockglen, SK before settling in Moose Jaw. Mom was predeceased by her parents Isabelle and Joseph Robbins, her brother Don, her sister Dorothy and Dorothy’s husband Tom Gill, as well as her sister-in-law Norma Robbins and husbands Harold Lindquist and George Montcalm. Mom will be greatly missed by her children Lorne (Sylvia) Lindquist, Ron (Holly) Lindquist, Judy (Al) Kirschman, Denise Lindquist, Susan (Richard) Ross, Tom (Sheila) Lindquist, Robin (James) Fletcher, Joey (Wayne) Biccum, Michael Montcalm and Lori (Jim Dunbar) Montcalm; grandchildren Dale (Gloria) Lindquist, Heather (Grant) Coombes, Bert (Colleen Bohmen) Lindquist, Dalen Lindquist, Bry (Sean) Edwards, Donna (Brian) Lowe, Blair (Laurie) Stephens, Janet (Tracy Nicholas) Stephens, Taryl (Kevin) Isbister, Jody Reid, Jeff Wiebe, Jennifer (Mike) Crawford, Casey Lindquist, Darryl (Jennifer) Lariviere, Tricia Lariviere, Melanie and Myles Montcalm, Della and Langdon Rose will all miss their grandmother’s love and affection. The great grandchildren Marissa and Megan Lindquist, Curtis and Cindy Coombes, Sebastian Edwards, Stephen Jordison, Brennan and Christopher Lowe, Shawn and Chad Stephens, Jade Stephens, Nolan and Caleb Isbister, Cody Wiebe, Shelby Reid, Jacob Crawford, Daniel Lariviere and Jordan Lariviere will miss their great-grandmother. Ruth’s only surviving sibling Lorne Robbins and his children are saddened and will miss Ruth deeply. Until the end Ruth maintained her humour, wit and her love of baseball and curling. She was an avid Blue Jays fan. Above all Ruth loved all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her extended family. There will be a private family burial. Friends are invited to join the family at Rosewood Manor, 140 High St. E., Moose Jaw on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 3p.m. in celebration of Ruth’s life. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in Ruth’s name to the Lung Association, 1231 – 8th St. E., Saskatoon, S7H 0S5. The family wishes to thanks the nurses at the Union Hospital and the Home Care workers for taking care of our precious mom and a special thanks to Jack and Diz Riddell. In living memory of Ruth, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

EDITH SHEA

EDITH ELIZABETH SHEA (nee Lamberton) 1909 – 2003, beloved Mother and Grandma, of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, March 14, 2003 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her children, Russell (Sharon) Shea and William Shea (and friend, Norma) all of Moose Jaw; Edith is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. her sisters Wilma Beach, Faye (Steve) Sidwell - Red Deer, Alberta and Jessie (Bert) Senft - Rosthern, Saskatchewan, as well as many nieces, nephews and very dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Euphamia and William Lamberton, her husband John Shea, daughter June Street, grandson David Shea, granddaughter Sandra Shea, brother David Lamberton, sisters, Susan Thorn and Isabelle Cluff. Edith was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1909 and moved to homestead in the Ormiston area with her parents and sister in 1911. She attended Drybor Lake School, worked in the store owned and operated by her father and mother in Ormiston. Edith married John Shea in 1933 and continued to live for several years in Ormiston. The family moved to Chaplin and then to Moose Jaw in 1950 where she has since resided. She was active in the Moose Jaw Bowling League for many years and enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She was a wonderful gardener, enjoying her garden, flowers and plants. Her gift of hospitality, wonderful baking and cooking was enjoyed by all who came to her open door. The Funeral Service will be held on at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel on Wednesday March 19, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m.at the Funeral Home. Rev. Frank Mitchell will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Box 521, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 4P2 would be appreciated by the family. In living memory of Edith, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

PENNY CHARNOCK

It is with great sorrow that we must announce the passing of Penny Karen Charnock (Sylvestre) on October 6, 2004 to be with our Lord. She leaves behind her husband of thirteen years Bill, her daughter, Karen (8) and her son Zachary (5). She will be sadly missed by her Mom, (Faye Sylvestre), Dad, (John Sylvestre) and her siblings: Cheryl, Ron, Calvin and Robert - all of Moose Jaw, along with her father in law, Harold Charnock of Regina; also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She will be sadly missed. Following cremation, a private family service will take place. Friends are invited to share their memories of Penny at a come and go tea to be held on Saturday October 9, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at 721 – 12th Ave. S.W. Moose Jaw. For those so wishing memorials to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Penny, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
