BILL MOLDE
1918 - 2003

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bill was born on the family farm at Eskbank and raised there. He married Melba Surtees in 1937and the couple raised twelve children on their farm north of Parkbeg. Bill loved farming and with God’s help and hard work became a successful land owner. Bill loved sports; he both played and coached baseball. He was councilor of the R.M. of Eyebrow for twenty-six years. He served on the local school board for a number of years. Bill enjoyed his close friends and visiting neighbors. He was an excellent dancer and enjoyed teaching his daughters. One of Bill’s greatest joys was his three sons becoming farmers. Dad was a loving and devoted father and will be missed by all. Predeceased by his parents, a son David in 1999, son-in-law Warren in 2001 as well as three brothers: Arthur, Norman and Seig. He leaves to mourn his wife Melba of sixty-six years. His Family: Marlene (Chuck) Gurney and Greg and Robin; Lil ( late husband Warren) Howard and Kelly and Lori; Faye (Doug) Wallace; Richard (Bev) Molde and Clinton and Kerri; Margaret (Garry) Rowe and Tana; Barbara (Garry) Moerkerk and Mark, Chris and Kimberly; Dianne (Joe) Luch and Trent and Jessica; daughter-in-law, Helen (late husband David) Molde and Jordan and Craig; Debbie McDonald; Darrel (Candis) Molde and Michael, Brad, Jeff and Brett; Kathy Molde; Shanon (Robert) MacLachlan and Shain and Kaily along with thirty-two great grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held at Central Lutheran Church – Moose Jaw on Tuesday December 9, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery . Memorials may be forwarded to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 2360 2nd Ave. Regina, SK, S4P 9Z9..In living memory of Bill Molde, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

EDITH WILLITS

EDITH WILLITS of Moose Jaw, formerly of Mossbank, passed away peacefully April 25, 2007. Edith enjoyed all her friends and activities at the Mulberry Estates Retirement Community, coffee with her friends in Mossbank, knitting, and playing the organ. She is survived by her son, Gerald and her sister, Jean. In keeping with Edith’s request, there will be no funeral services. For those so wishing, memorial donations can be made to the Saskatchewan Lung Association, 1231 – 8th St. E., Saskatoon, S7H 0S5. In living memory of Edith, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

MARTHA JOHNSON

Martha Helene (Steinhauer) Johnson, passed away April 11, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Martha was born at Holdfast on April 3, 1919. She married Gerald Johnson at Liberty, on November 29, 1939 and they farmed at Chamberlain until moving to Moose Jaw in 1943. Martha’s greatest joy was her family and friends. Her retirement years were filled with dancing and travel. Predeceased by her parents, Martha and Peter Steinhauer; step-mother Frieda Steinhauer; and brothers, Peter, Edgar, Arnold and Wilfred. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gerald; daughters: Peggy Johnson, Maureen (Gord) Paice, and Susan (Doug) Gillies; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Edna (Roy) Delbeck – Moose Jaw; Dorothy (Wilf) Longmore – Regina; Evie (Joe) Lang – Saskatoon; brother, Randy (Mona) Steinhauer – Regina; sisters-in-law: Florence Steinhauer – Moose Jaw, and Irene Steinhauer – Regina; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelage St. W., on Friday April 15, 2005 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Extendicare Family Support Group, 1151 Coteau St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 5G5, would be appreciated. In living memory of Martha, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

LARRY WINTER

Lawrence Gregory David Winter passed away suddenly on May 6, 2007. He is survived by his parents Marv and Helen, and his brother Scott. At Larry’s request, no service will be held. Cremation has taken place, with memorialization to follow at a later date.
In living memory of Larry, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

SHARON ALBRECHT

Sharon Gayle Albrecht (nee Bender) of Moose Jaw, passed away on January 1, 2007 at the age of 62 years. Sharon was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on November 23, 1944. She married Mervin Albrecht 1963 shortly after which they moved to Calgary to start a family. Sharon spent most of her early family life as a devoted housewife and mother raising her son Bradley and daughter Tiffany. In 1974, Mervin and Sharon purchased a paint store and the family moved to Nelson, BC where she then spent the next 12 years. After her divorce from Mervin, Sharon returned to Moose Jaw. In 1997, Sharon became a proud grandmother of Kyle Albrecht and then in 2000, Curtis Albrecht was born. She had a special love of her grandchildren and will be remembered as a wonderful grandmother. Sharon is predeceased by her father Albert, her maternal mother Agnes, sister Joyce and brother Ronnie. She is survived by her son, Brad (Kathie) and their children, Curtis and Kyle – Cranbrook, BC; daughter, Tiffany (Blair) Simister – Saskatoon; her mother, Jordis Bender – Moose Jaw; brothers: Bob (Karen) Bender and Blaine Bender; sisters, Natalie (Tom) Keeler and Paulette (Nick) Wakeford – all of Moose Jaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Service of Remembrance will be held at W.J. Jones and Son Chapel on Saturday January 6, 2007 at 2:30 pm. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate. A Graveside Service will follow at Sunset Cemetery where Sharon's ashes will be placed in her father's grave. Memorials to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 261 High St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 1S7, or to the Children's Health & Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, 850 - 410 22nd St. E., Saskatoon, SK S7K 5T6. In living memory of Sharon, a tree has been planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

MORRIS HARDING

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Morris on Thursday, December 18, 2003 at his home in Moose Jaw. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed. Morris was born March 11, 1929 at S ˝ 33-9-4 north of Melaval, Sask. He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Rose Harding; brothers, Earl and John; son, Alan Harding; and son-in-law, Peter Briere. He is survived by his wife, Lois; children: Barry (Debbie) Harding – Saskatoon; Susan (Dave) Bouclin – Saskatoon; Murray Harding (friend, Pam) – Medicine Hat, AB; Bert Harding – Dunmore, AB; daughter-in-law, Vickie Harding – Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren: Lincoln (Liz) Harding, Carie Harding (fiancé Jason), Clarke Harding, Jaimie Harding, Jesse Harding, Becky Harding, Jaycee Harding; Reneé (Randy) Ellis, Tanya Briere, Dustin Briere, Chantel Harding, Amber (Mike) Sanders; and great-grandchildren: Jacob, Camryn and Emma. Morris worked construction for Inland/Cardinal Construction all his life. In his retirement years he loved making wooden whirly-gigs, bird houses and other wooden toys. He was a lover of jokes and always tried to make us laugh. Morris’ grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the centre and love of his life. A Memorial Service to celebrate Morris’ life will be held at W. J. Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Peter Calhoun will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Children’s Wish Foundation, P.O.Box 309, Saskatoon, S7K 3L3, would be appreciated. In living memory of Morris, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.

LORRAINE L. GRAY

LORRAINE LILLIAN GRAY (Duddy), longtime resident of Moose Jaw, passed away Thursday April 14, 2005 . Lorraine was born April 17, 1918 at Ceylon, Saskatchewan where she received her education. She was employed at Richardson Securities as office manager for many years and retired in 1976. During World War II she moved to Ontario with her husband, Rex who was serving in the RCAF. While in Ontario she was employed at a metal stamp factory producing ammunition boxes. Lorraine was an ardent curler, enjoyed shuffle board and playing cards. She worked on the organizing committee for the Annual Senior Shuffle Board Tournament held in Moose Jaw each summer. Lorraine also enjoyed the years spent at their cottage on Buffalo Pound Lake and winters spent in Mesa, Arizona . Predeceased by her parents, a brother and two sisters, Lorraine is survived by her son, Brent (Marlaine) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; grandsons: Andrew and Patrick of Edmonton, Alberta and adopted daughter, Beverly Willar of Prince Albert, Sask. In keeping with Lorraine ’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2005 from 7-9p.m. at the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Cremation will take place with a private memorialization at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be forwarded to a charity of one’s choice. In living memory of Lorraine, a tree will be planted in Wakamow Valley by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
